Me and my family actually stayed in the Airbnb right next to the Baba Nyonya Rental Shop! It's quite nice. Next round if you are in Melaka again, can give it a try. Nice video by the way👍👍
There is more to see and try different food in Melaka Arisa-san, hope you enjoy your Melaka trip Arisa-san 😊 by the way, Arisa-san looks like 姫様 when dress up the Nyonya dress 😊😊

Joshua, you don't have to be rich to have a well. back then it's very common for people to have wells inside or outside their homes. people dug up well everywhere, that was the main water supply if they're away from a river or stream. many normal kampung houses still have them, but mostly are closed off because we have treated water now.
Welcome to my hometown, hope you enjoyed it 😁 Melaka is kinda similar to Kyoto & Nara in the sense that it's a historic city, with the old architectures and historic buildings mainly intact. And like how Nara/Yamato was the first capital of Japan, Melaka was the founding capital of the Melaka Sultanate, which covered most of Peninsular Malaysia, Singapore, the straits of Melaka, and a part of modern day Indonesia immediately neighbouring Malaysia. Here we have an ancient mosque with a pagoda (a blend of architectural styles), the oldest Buddhist temple and the oldest Hindu temple in Malaysia. I just visited Kyoto & Nara and the vibes reminded me a lot of my hometown. Even the modern day issues faced by these cities are similar, full of tourists during weekends and peak seasons, traffic jams, yet still needing tourism as a major source of state revenue. Similarly, you came to Melaka and strolled around traditional buildings in baju kebaya while we went 着物散策 there and visited temples and shrines 😂
I know this kinda late, the reason the Japanese didn't know because some still in denial especially the cruelty that they had done during the Japanese's Occupation during World War 2. It's something we had to learn at school about this historical events. My hometown had great effected during the war, Google Nature City. You will know. There's literally a Japanese's film base on my hometown.
