His impact on the Wolves defensively has been dynasty-building. For real, this looks like the start of a dynasty. As for post moves, fortunately they got KAT for that.

Post moves would require too much work at this stage of his career, he would have to spend a tremendous amount of time on his handles/ control of the ball for that as it's really bad right now. I think he should simply learn the Jabbar hook and that would be plenty enough for him, not many players can put their hands at that height.

Do you know what " deterrence " is ? Players keep trying to attack Wemby because they're not use to him yet. Players don't try to attack rudy because they're scared . I guarantee you that next season he'll have less blocks because players will try less shots on him

Stats can put up an argument but they don't write the entire story. The Spurs defensive rating with/without Wemby is 116.7/119.6. Timberwolves defensive rating with/without Gobert is 109.7/111.5. The difference in their overall impacts is only 1.1. It's hard to judge Wemby's defensive impact when the Spurs go from a terrible defense last year, to still a terrible defense this year. Gobert had the best defensive rating this year with 104.4, lowers attempts under the basket by 5% (97th percentile for centers), and holds opponents to 48% when shooting under 5 feet (lowest in the NBA). Not to mention his defense is a big part as to why his team's in a position to win a ring, and not a single player has won dpoy with under 35 wins.

Nah, rim deterrence stats show Rudy's better at the rim & he's obviously better on the perimeter & in drop. Wemby got counting stats because no one respected their defense all season. Rudy leads the league in "neverminds"
