I don't think he was a stranger. I think he's a fellow officer. If you listen to the conversation he vaguely mentions being a “brother.” Either way to show that compassion was beyond extraordinary considering the circumstances.
Even if he was a "brother" aka fellow law enforcement it was an absolutely amazing act of kindness!! I am not law enforcement but would have stopped if I had seen anyone, cop or civilian hit like that. I think that man would have done the same thing whether it was a "brother" or not. We def need more compassionate ppl in our world!! Everyone is so quick to pull out their cell phone and record but nobody wants to intervene and help especially in serious situations!! Glad compassion still exists in some ppl❤and so glad that officer made it, sux he had just come back from already being hit by another drunk driver the year prior!!
Which is why they shouldn't be able to turn off their body cams. The last thing you want is someone like this getting off because some officer can't control themselves and thinks they can get away with violating his constitutional rights. It's happened enough times it's not unreasonable to assume it can happen. That said for all the horror these guys saw they all seemed incredibly composed, and it really seems like something where the involved officers should have access to counseling and time off.
You can tell how stunned the poor officer is when he popped the trunk when he stumbled over his rights speech. Say what you want about police but they deserve respect
Maybe, but why pull his gun out on the guy or run to arrest him? Not like he was armed or going anywhere. Given all the information he was relaying, I was expecting to find a body in the trunk.
1:00:00 Officer Cody Holte was 29 when he was murdered in the line of duty by a worthless waste of oxygen. He leaves a loving wife and a ten months old baby, who now calls Cody Holte’s twin brother “Dad!”, and will have to grow up with at best a couple of blurry memories of his father. Rest In Peace, Officer Holte. You are a hero, and I just wish I could be even half of the man you are 🙏🏻
Not really all that true though, really kinda depends on which police branch it is, and whether or not there was an active chase beforehand.@@subzero07094
In Germany at least there is a law that if you see some who is in a accident or needs help and you don't help (even calling a ambulance is already enough) you can get a punishment for this. Also on the highway if there is a traffic jam everyone on the very left lane have to move as far left as possible and every other lanes have to move to the right as far as possible to make room for police, fire department and ambulance. If you block the "emergency lane" or use it to cut traffic you can get a punishment too. Also filming is not allowed. Those are very simple but in my opinion very good and useful laws /rules
@danroe3310 well why was she just standing in that doorway not responding to the officers like a damn blank slate. She was honestly acting dumb just standing there gawking. Doesn't even seem like she tried to retreat back into her bedroom after gunshots went off either if she was dead in the hallway. It's terrible she died truly. But she did nothing to help herself by backing up into cover or even just getting the fuck out of the apartment when they initially busted in serving the eviction
Yes, very sad. It’s honestly a miracle there weren’t more people killed or at least harmed with how many shots were fired & it being an apartment complex. All those rogue bullets could have easily hit people in the surrounding apartments and stuff. And all of it could have been avoided had the dude just cooperated. Everyone could have walked away alive & unharmed had he just accepted his eviction notice, but no. Instead, he decided to have a standoff that ended up killing his own mother, another officer, and now gets to spend the rest of his life in a prison cell. And for what? What point was he trying to prove?
@@blazednhazed71she was incredibly old, incredibly sensitive which meant she would have definitely had problems taking awareness of the situation. Which accounts for the fact she was quiet.
Every single one of these videos were already online exactly as put in this video. He didn't do any editing he just ripped off other people's content and narrated over it. Don't give him too much credit. Thievery isn't honorable.
@@subzero07094Not sure how it works with these body cam videos. Once the police release the body cam video it's public information so you can't claim copyright on it.
@@deezelfairy Body cam footage isn't edited when you FOIA request or photo is released it's in a big chunk. Other channels who published these prior to the content thief did a majority of the editing and subtitles (which where blurred here and butchered). So despite being public domain someone still needs to put in a lot of leg work in order for these to be presented the way we watch the here otherwise every video would be 17 hours long.
You are 100% right. Every time I see that these monsters are arrested peacefully, sent to a facility, housed and fed instead of instantly turned to jello, I can’t help but think that we are failing as a society.
I experienced a tib fib fracture. It’s been two and half years and I still can’t run and can barely jump. I got hit head on in a car accident twice. I have a metal rod and screws in there now and I’ll never be able to run again not well.
@@edynmertz4734 for 3 years after my tib-fib fracture, i wasn't able to walk at all. i was jealous on other kids that they were able to play outside but with a lot of work, i finally learned how to walk again. right now, as an adult, i can jog. not run, but jogging
_He probably has an 18 feet long rap sheep, getting away with a slap on his wrist each time. Combine that with his young age and the result is a young, arrogant criminal who thinks that he can do anything & everything..._ 😑
It's those moments in life when you decide what or who you are. This guy is not a superhero who could make the cop good in seconds but he stays at his side and I guess that is a real super power. To stay together with someone who you don't even know and still be connected with and this not only in the USA like this. Humans are humans and even we are different doesn't mean that we can't stay together and help each other. ❤
Wow what a moron. Bro you have a dead body in the trunk... Darwin stupidity. Unbelievable anyone would speed with a body . But I bet it's happened while getting pulled over 50+ times
I mean he snitched on himself when he called his cousin and literally told him he killed the guy. So he was getting caught no matter what. Stupid is as stupid does.
@@GolfInHawaii69michael is actually my cousin there’s a lot more to his story than was ever released to the media… for lack of a better word i feel terrible for him and how he was swallowed up by the jaws of crime in louisiana
I actually feel sorry for that guy at the end. There is no universe in which he was guilty in that situation (hitting the woman). She literally came and straight-up confessed to starting it by hitting him twice before he hit her back. She's the guilty one and he was absolutely right when he said he has the right to defend himself. They charged him with battery when he did nothing wrong and let the one who battered him go free. Since the police arrested him knowing for a fact that he was innocent, the threat to an officer charge should be cleared as well as that wouldn't have ever happened if the police wouldn't have hounded him about a situation where he was the victim.
One of my close friend got into an accident where a reckless driver drove straight into the driver's side of my friend's car, not sure what the actual speed was but it was a 90 km/h zone (55 mph) 2 years later he still has severe brain trauma he cannot run he shakes all the time he won't be able to work for the rest of his life and he's just not the same friend I once knew. The guy who did this was permanently removed his driver's license but is still free safe and sound. The case is still ongoing but he probably faces 1-2 years in jail which is nothing short of infuriating. Ruined my friend's life and gets a laughable sentence.
@@mandalorianhunter1You don't know anything about the accident or the people involved - how do you know they're one of the 'worst people'. People make mistakes all the time when driving, 99.99% of the time we're lucky and nothing more than a few horn honks, flipping the middle finger or exchanging insurance details happens, sometimes we ain't so lucky and the worst happens.
@@deezelfairy Wow I'm sorry but my mother was in a car accident and the person got away with it, this was 2 years ago by the way. I have had some friends get into car accident, hell my co worker was in a accident recently last week. So can I ask why are you so butt hurt or crazy about me saying that? Have you caused a accident and are mad over a little comment due to being unable to get over it or are you just s idiot complaining for no reason?
@@mandalorianhunter1 Your comment isn't showing for some reason, can only see it if I click on your profile pic. Not butt hurt, more being a voice of reason. I've caused a couple accidents, I've been on the receiving end of a few accidents that weren't my fault. Comes with the territory when you've driven close to a million miles. Fortunately they were minor accidents. Car accidents happen, it's a part of driving and not everyone who causes one is a monster and people demanding they get ridiculous prison sentences is insane. Having a society where we give people 20 years hard time for a mistake might make you feel good, that justice was served but you'd better hope you never make a similar mistake. Society is too polarised now, one half wants people let off with counselling and zero dollar jail bonds, the other half wants them to have the electric chair - it's ridiculous.
I feel so bad for both the officer who got hit by the druggie of of woman, and my heart frozen when one bystander, 1 driver, pull over to save that officer life while other drivers drove by, shame on those drivers and bless the one driver who stopped and helping that officer, I nearly cried when the driver was giving info to the other officers.
You can't really shame everyone who didn't stop cause I'm sure most of them didn't know what was going on, or were focused on driving and wasn't looking over there. Not every driver is gonna know what is going on or what the situation even was. Not to mention pedestrians aren't public servants, MOST PEOPLE do not know what to do in situations like that other than call the cops and not get too involved cause they dont know whats happening. For all anyone knew the situation could have involved more danger than they could see. And clearly with the mention of other witnesses other people were there. So don't just mindlessly shame others for things most people wouldn't do or be able to do for valid reason we all know of
@@SpectreBagels Not to mention the dead stand still that would cause for miles. I know the man was hurt, but there are other emergencies happening in other cars that need to move as well.
Why would anyone kill his 3 sons?. It seems no one can answer this question because no one gets into his head and thoughts. This is an extreme tragedy!. In all cultures, children are seen as nagels: innocent and peaceful.
That man caught the suspect, interrogated him, investigated the crime and found the victim in an afternoon. If he's not too busy, he might as well perform the autopsy too.
This is why they call for back up when they are identify them as sovcits and they are classified as domestic terrorists. They worse in other countries a while back in Australia a couple them ambushed and shot at cops trying to assert their common law rights in another country sigh. Like they know no borders they try right to travel and fake SC cases even in UK, Canada and other countries that don't answer to US constitution or its SC sigh.
the kid with the body in the trunk, that wasnt "pure chance" he got pulled over, he was speeding. why would you speed while riding that dirty? you have got to be a grade A REE-REE
It also baffles me he will be amongst civilization in 25 years, maybe less. For cold blooded murder. Which he seems really young so around 40 yrs old, which is insane to me that he's not receiving anywhere near life or death penalty.
Our POLICE OFFICERS go through so much, I CAN'T BEGIN TO PRETEND TO UNDERSTAND WHAT OUR WORLD WOULD BE WITHOUT THEM. Thank you to all the hard-working GREAT COPS out there.
Cops are generally doing a pretty safe job but to see an officer hit like that is really upsetting and wish people could be kind and care about human life and maybe respect one another ❤
while i think banning police outright is the dumbest thing anyone has ever said there does need to be more work done controlling police and screening out the potential future bad cops
49:37 Ron Nord is actually my cousin, he grieves daily that he was the one that came out alive and Cody Holte didn’t. Our family was lucky enough to have him come out alive, though our prayers still to this day go out to Cody’s family. It is disgusting that you would blur a fallen officers picture.
@@notwinkytheelf562 simply not showing his picture would’ve did the same thing, he intentionally showed his picture but decided that instead of showing the man that lost his life during duty, which was all over the news, that he would show it anyway and just blur his face. if he wanted to do it out of respect simply not having his picture would’ve been a better choice
The guy that was getting the eviction notice shot his own mother and he’s probably a sovereign citizen. The words that he says this guy deserves to go to prison.
@@GolfInHawaii69 ya know about it. Don't care can still make jokes or light of it. I've lost my shit looked foolish. I think people had a right to give me shit.
wait, what is with the guy around the 12 min mark. He stands back while the female officer asks him for help to cuff a guy and she gets visibly annoyed that he is ignoring her, he then walks back behind the guy with the flashlight and is pointing for him to go look in areas before him and then he grabs a gun that is evidence off the ground. I get that the situation was tense but he seems more like a civilian than an officer.
I remember i was traveling down a highway, a woman’s car was TOTALED and on its roof… half the road was covered in people pulling over and going to see the lady inside and get help. I pulled over and asked if someone called the police or ambulance, everyone nodded and someone was pressing a towel to her head as she was a mess… The cop getting hit and sent flying breaks my heart that one one person really stopped to help him…
On many, MANY occasions, I've expressed my complete bewilderment concerning people who are ridin' dirty for 1 or more reasons! Yet, they drive around with all these potential felony counts in the car, but instead of doing things to be less noticeable, they throw everything illegal that they can find, into a sports car (or sometimes even a stolen car), then drive around with no license, tag, or insurance. They don't use turnsignals, or wear a seatbelt. And they speed!! WTF is wrong with these morons!
Can we all send positive thoughts, peace, love , prayers and the heartfelt hope that the little sister who so courageously picked up her little brother to try and save him by taking him to their Mum then ran for help. If by chance one day you are reading this my love , you did a very very brave and courageous thing and understand some people are just plain rotten to the core evil. I wish you happiness and peace my dear dear girl ❤ I’m so heartbroken and gutted that this evil evil specimen of something not human did that I god forgive ME but I hope he gets his reward in hell and sooner rather than later.
Watching that gun battle was hard for me to watch. I am a combat veteran and a retired trooper. I have been in a few scraps like this. I guess it’s PTSD. Had to turn it off at one point.
If this is too hard to answer please don’t but how did they handle this situation? Should they have all retreated after the first round of gun fire or do you think they did what they could in the situation? Very sad so many lost their lives and were hurt. Thank you for your service and I hope you’re taking care of yourself.
The person commentating after the guy who killed his kids said u ain't seen nothing till this next couple I think killing your 3 sons is worse then sex in public
Awesome videos or clips, have to say the best I've ever seen...live...thanks for all your efforts..etc...be safe and have a nice weekend y'all!!💙 😁🤪🤛😎👍🇨🇦
Im so glad that last guy does NOT get to see his child for a while bc of his arrest. That kid can only be so lucky. Hopefully he stays away even longer
That last guy who was like "I'll never see my f****** kids again for 4 months". It's like, Jesus Christ this guy should never see ANY children, forever. At least not until he goes through a few years of some serious psychological treatment
That woman cop was too kind and I’m so frustrated she had the audacity to ask kids if they want to press charges. Having sex in front of minors should not be debatable. You’re going to jail.
