Good video! Down here in Australia we are still waiting for our first model 3 deliveries but should only be a couple of weeks now. Also getting SR+ which down here drives home at $70k with no white interior option. Still super keen to get my hands on it though!
Nice video! Do yourself a favor though.. don't ride in a dual motor Model 3. It'll make you want the extra power and better audio even more. I borrowed my friends dual motor for a weekend because I'm about to order my own Model 3. I keep telling myself I don't need the extra power, longer range, or better audio... but after driving his car I think I'm ruined!!!
Thanks for the video. One question: Please, I would like to know if for reverse, Model 3 have both white lights one the left and on the right. And also for the foggy days there are two red backlights? Thanks again!
Great video. Ive had my SR+ for 2 months now. Did some research on audio and there isn't any way to get those speakers working unfortunately. They are physically not connected to anything so a software update just won't do. After a few road trips I purchased FSD and recommend doing so as new features will definitely be added later and only possible to be used with FSD. I do agree the autopilot isn't quite there yet but it is getting better all the time and at some point it will be good. The price is going up this month again. That just means they have some things ready to roll out and once they do it will be much more compelling to get the feature and justify the price increase.
Congrats on your new Tesla, I'm still undecided about the SR+ and the AWD LR, but I agree with you about the partial music system. If they can give you the chance to pay extra to get the Full Audio system, that would be great. Cheers.
Get the Performance AWD Minus. It will only cost 2k more and you will have 0-60 in 3.2. Its only available if you contact TESLA sales - 1 (650) 681-5100
@@vinyl_on_video get something where you can't upgrade in the future. Canada winter can be take a toll on battery unless you don't do long commute. Battery is something you can't upgrade. Same for awd. I got my LR RWD for a year now. No regret. Havent even added any windshield fluids. Its been great.
They are probably adding "Premium connectivity subscription" within next year. I'll be surprised if it doesnt also unlock other speakers to go with streaming
Peter Schmidt Oh my bad, should’ve specified that I meant an upgrade for the TM3 SR+. Just bought the rear heated seats package and all that’s left is the audio upgrade!
Your backdrop looks like Orem or Provo. It would be interesting to see how the car compares going up something like Provo Canyon with great markings and easy turns vs. something like Big Cottonwood Canyon with more hairpin turns and traffic closer together.
Awesome car I test drive one of those before performance model I kind of like the standard range better for daily driving a long trip I think it conserves the battery much more better even though it only has 240 Mi range versus the performance 310 mile range
Great video. I just got my model 3 performance 3 days ago and i'm loving it.... did you know you can simply adjust the volume on the steering wheel when you're in autopilot mode to let the car know you're there? I find that to be a simple hack.
I also found that using standard mode over comfort mode reads your hand pressure wayyyyy better. I don’t feel like I have to wiggle the steering wheel anymore on autopilot.
Congrats! I fully agree it would be nice to purchase the additional audio that would enable all speakers. But unfortunately you would still miss the subwoofer(s). I like your video, especially beacause you drive the Standard Range Plus, while most other videos only talk about the dual-motor editions.
I want a Model 3 LG Plus Rear View Drive but on the Tesla Site, it's only Long Range or AWD... Hmm... I may just hold out for a Model Y due to 4x the Cargo Space
You should contact tesla store and see if they have the option. In Canada when I ordered mine it was still possible to get a long range rwd as a custom order even though it isn't on the website. Not sure what the pricing is on that and what interior it comes with
ilythia yeah! I use Apple Music everyday. If you need a referral code you can use mine for some free supercharging miles. Makes no sense to order one without it!
The "follow" is time rather than distance I think (hope) as it needs to increase the distance as you go faster. I think it's in 1/2 second increments (2 = 1 second). 4 seems like a better choice (2 seconds). Lovely looking mountains in the background at the end. ;)
@@mattbaiamonte It's definitely not car lengths :) I always have it on 1, and that'd be a bit too close for comfort on the highway, lol. It adjusts to the speed, just as in most other cars.
OMG I'm waiting for my exact same Model 3 Blue SR+ one to be delivered between now and 11/30! The only differences are the black interior and 19" wheels! Did you get any accessories for your baby besides the center console wrap? What did you like or dislike about the accessories and where did you get them? :D
I was able to catch a glimpse of the GPS screen at 4:30 and it showed that he was parked along 700 North, likely very close to where he lives, and yes, it is in Orem, Utah.
Matthew thanks for the video do you still. have the car how s it going? I have ordered one the only thing I didn't love was the stereo which was quite tinny (no woofer?). how was your experience?
Like your tesla review Matt. What were your top 3 colors before you had purchase your tesla model 3. I am looking at getting one soon and debating on the grey or dark blue with white interior with arrow wheels.
For me it was blue or white. But I wanted white interior and so white on white was too much for me. I love the blue paint! Looks amazing after a car wash.
Matthew Baiamonte I am looking at the blue as well or grey but I do like the white interior. I test drove the model 3 last week and it had the white interior and it amazing to drive. I am currently planning to go into the medical field next year and planning to get it once I get settled.
Great video man!! I want a Tesla for my first car! I’m going to a Special program that teach people with disabilities how to drive, the Autopilot can help me drive with my cerebral palsy
the audio system on the SR+ is really bad compared to premium the speakers r very front heavy and there is not that much bass either, plus some of the speakers r disabled even though they are present in the car which bugs me, the rear deck has no speakers, even a base model civic has speakers on the rear deck... if u get a SR+, i wouldn’t recommend going into a LR and testing out the audio system
Don’t expect audio from LR AWD to drop to SR+. You miss the subwoofer and cabling anyway. Tesla likes to keep a USP between the LR AWD and more reasonable priced models.
Thanks man. I want it but I can’t go into it knowing I’m getting less than audio and software limits just Because they want to be jerks. I’ll save my 40k
I have had my SR+ since March.. first group of them to arrive in my State so I wasn't able to listen to the audio before purchase. I was familiar with the Premium audio which sounds amazing. This falls FAR short of Premium audio. Love the car but I am not happy with audio. Base is non existent at lower volumes. Above 50-60% volume the side door speakers start kicking in and the sound is better. Love the car though. I agree with everything stated in the video. I still wouldn't pay 10K extra for long range version until I needed that range on a regular basis. I have yet to worry about range. To me standard autopilot is fine.. My Civic had almost the same thing. Lane keep assist and adaptive cruise. Adaptive cruise works about the same. Lane keep assist is much better on the Tesla. I see no value in full autopilot at this time, but I am generally not interested in self driving cars anyway.
It’s legit. Really good considering not all my speakers are being used. I did have to crank it up a bit in the settings, but it’s better than any other car I’ve owned.
@@coltwingard it's fine for me. Not as deep as the full premium, but it's good enough for the average user. Just make sure you turn on the immersive sound feature in settings.
