I appreciate the depth and all the work you put into making these! Ive been trying to get as educated as i can! I had unbearable metarasalgia for a year and unfortunately multiple doctors i visited thought i had nerve issues, so the nerve block injections i received would leave my feet inflamed and immobile 😢 Metarasal Pads were a miracle! I do sometimes feel a bit of discomfort in the outer toes, so I'm currently searching for supportive shoes. This definitely helps me understand where the pain is coming from & how to accommodate for it. Really needed to take the time to say Thank you so much!!!

So helpful and thorough. I have a neuroma which is 9mmx2.5mm . thickened plantar fascia at the heel attachment. I use a Birkenstock boot with an orthotic and met pad and toe separators. And supportive stockings. Anti inflammatory and pain management so I can exercise. Public health explained nothing and I so wish my podiatrist x5 I tried. I said it was tight plantar - unstable ankles due to hEDS and the anterior tibialus. I ve been Doing this as shoulder bridges. Bio mechanics are dancers friends.

Great video, Doctor ive a 4mm mortons neuroma for 6months, 1 cortisone helped slightly, intially pain was localized now spread to area under the pinky toe ..is very painful. Can it be referred pain from neuroma or due to compensation ?

I don’t know what issue Im’m having but it started kind of suddenly, like within in an hour I had a dull ache that went to a sharp sting and it’s very tender, the pressure from putting on a sock, even carefully, triggers it. I can’t bend my toes upward either. Tried a walking boot and then tried a met pad and that actually worsened it. The pain became so bad I get teary eyed and cannot take a single step (with that foot). I just want to be able to walk normally again. Don’t even know how I got it either, I’m young (18), I’m actually slightly underweight, and my activity is weight training 3 days a week, a short walk occasionally, and basketball in my yard occasionally. I wear tennis shoes, never worn heels. The pain is localized along that curve/indention by the big toe that goes from the 1st-3rd metatarsals. I had plantar fasciitis last year at this time but it was in my heel, not the ball of my foot, and it was actually the EXACT same type of pain. That went away but it took 3 months of walking on my toes. I want the sharpness of the pain to go away so I can participate in all the things I have coming up in a couple weeks.

Will bear foot shoes help? To start with? When I put my Orthodontist's in ? For pain in the ball of the foot. I'm finding it difficult to get good shoes without having to pay a fortune for them. I heard that Orthodontist are only for a short time not forever. Unfortunately my doctor thinks I should wear them permanently. One Othopedic doctor suggested putting a soft ball in the shoes ( like rockers) to keep me from walking on the front of the foot.

I had a sudden swell of the ball of my right foot a few hours ago. I was walking and thought i stepped on a toy--feels like a bubble under my big toe. I cant stretch it but i can walk with a scrunched foot or on the outside of my foot right now. Im concerned bc im a waitress and have no other income so i need this fixed asap. I only wear tennis shoes, all the time-- no sandals or high heels etc . Ive had a similar situation in my right hand too, of my middle finger only ill also have bruising with the swelling, and it happens after holding something the "wrong way"

So much great information, thank you! I have lax connective tissue (from EDS). Should I be careful with shockwave therapy? i.e. could it possibly further weaken my connective tissue? (I've tried everything else in your video, except for surgery and SWT.) Thank you.

Personally I have never really had any issues with shockwave therapy out of thousands of uses at this point... Including with ehler Danhlos syndrome 😊🙏❤️

Poor old feet. All yr weight on them all yr life, it's amazing we're not crippled by 30. Schol and Clarkes were the only big companies advertising awareness of possible problems in the UK in the 60s and 70s but were regarded as expensive luxuries for the 'well heeled'. Getting to see a podiatrist in the UK on the NHS requires mountains moving. I actually had a blister on the toes that wouldn't go away, turned out it was leaky sinovial fluid. I do a massive lot of walking, and maybe my neuropathy is just due to poor fitting shoes. Or prediabetes. Anyway thanks to MFDs I am now buying into orthotics and changing diet.

As a doctor here I find it very challenging to just see patients, it seems all my time is wasted handing bureaucracy and waiting on insurance approvals or waiting on insurances to credential/allow treatment

Hello doctor, I am following you from Morocco. I had heel pain. A month later, it spread to the arch, then to the ball of the foot, then to the ankle. My entire foot became sore. I feel an electric spark in the instep and outer side of the foot. Medications, stretching and ice did not help. I have been in a wheelchair for 4 months and cannot put my feet on the floor. MRI is fine. Good nerve and muscle mapping. All tests are good, but I cannot walk. please help. I'm ready for anything
