As an ex-wife of a biker, I was never treated with more respect than when my ex husband was a prospect. Then, when he ghosted me (I'm disabled) and our kid, the bros had my back. They made sure we were safe and didn't end up on the street. I will forever be grateful to them.

JD, I've got 30+ years in an MC, and still going. You hit this straight up. It sounds cliché, but it's a lifestyle. When I was a Prospect, I brokedown quite a ways from home. I didn't want to call a Member, because even though they would've come to get me, it wouldn't have been a good look, lol. As I'm sorting out my options, an old patch holder from another club rolled up. He saw what I was wearing, (if you know, you know) and with no hesitation, he simply handed me his truck keys, pointed down the block to his house, and told me to have the truck back by the next weekend, because he was going to need it then. We had never met, but the respect between his club, and the one I was joining, was so deep that he didn't think twice about giving up his truck. That sealed the deal for me and I've never regretted putting on that cut. Keep up the great work. L&R.

I have a lot of respect for the MCs. The year was 2008, I was on my 3rd tour in Iraq. It was towards the end of the tour and my father passed, so they sent me home 2 weeks early. After I left country, one of my battle buddies got killed. We were doing a memorial ceremony for him, when these protesters started protesting the war in Iraq and calling us murderers. Next thing you know a bunch of bikers rolled up(it looked like it was at least 50-75 of them). I remember some of them had giant American flags on the back of their bikes. They formed like a barrier in between the protesters and us. When we left the memorial site, they rode with us pretty much all the way back on post (base). MCs also rode alongside our buses when we returned home after my 4th tour in Iraq (2011). They were also at the airport to welcome us home, when I landed in Dallas for R&R/mid-tour. They also escorted my Color Guard team, when we went to Raleigh, NC for a funeral ceremony. I know that was a lot, but those encounters gave me nothing but the utmost respect for MCs 🫡.

@@user-dg5ux1ok2j idk who they all were with. I do remember the MC that escorted my Color Guard team in Raleigh, NC in 2014 were with the Patriot Riders. I don’t know who the other MCs were with, but one thing that I’ll never forget: When the MCs pulled up at my buddy’s memorial ceremony, when they stood in between us & the protesters. One of them was this huge guy with a long beard (he looked like Santa Clause on steroids). I remember he reached in the engine block of his bike and pulled out a big chrome hammer (like the hammer blended in with his engine, if he wouldn’t have pulled the hammer out, you probably wouldn’t even know it was there). After he pulled out the hammer, he crossed his arms while still holding the hammer, and the look on his face, and the look in his eyes, you can tell he wasn’t somebody to mess with. I remember thinking: “I’m glad that guy is on our side”.

In a way, the fact that biker gangs hate one another so much is kind of sad (I mean, all gang warfare is sad, i guess, but you know...) - Because when it comes down to it, it's really just a bunch of dudes who are all pretty much into the same shit: Motorcycles, Leather, Rock & Roll, Women, Meth etc. - They'd probably have a lot in common if not for their colours, you know what i mean?? I seen a dude almost get knocked out for being drunk and keep trying to light cigarettes in this clubhouse that normally smoking is aloud in. But on this day, families were there. Meaning Ol Ladies (wives of a club member) and kids were there and since kids were there automatically you had to smoke outside. Dude was warned several times and then learned the hard way. My uncle was a “hang around “ in the late 70’s early 80’s I remember being at the neighborhood bar with him having lunch on a weekend, I was playing pinball with him and a fight broke out, my uncle jumped into the fight but three members stayed with me two with their backs to me making a wall, and the other engaging with me in the pinball game coaching and encouraging me. It was years before I realized what went on and how they were protecting me. Raising my kids I told them if they ever needed help never be afraid to ask men with that particular patch on their vest for help, no matter how “scary “ they look that man will help you.

Me and my friend literally yanked up nasty carpet and scrubbed floors and walls. It took all weekend. At the end we had yanked old dusty curtains off a window and couldn't get them cleaned. The stains and nicotine just wouldn't wash out. The only spare curtains I had were white and lacy and Not biker looking at all. I was worried about being in trouble. I did get invited there for some parties and always let know discreetly when it was time to go. If you know you know. I will never forget the look of a mountain of a man biker with tears in his eyes. As far as I understand, even if you're patched in an "outlaw" MC, you still can't wear the 1% patch unless you have proven yourself beyond just earning the MC patch. I rode around the Phoenix area for years and partied with a lot of these guys. My wife was living in ohio years ago, was walking back to where she was staying in a bad part of warren.. and some creep on a bike wouldnt stop cicling the block and slow rolling when passing her... Lucky for her, there was an Outlaw biker bar at the end of her street. She spotted 2 of the members ol ladys, told em what was going on. One ran into the bar, the other hid her behind some bikes. As he passed, a huge group of guys came running out of the bar, checked on her and then gave chase. After asking him wtf he was doing harassing a tiny female, he got disrespectful and got beat tf up. From then on, my wife was welcome in the bar, any time day or night.

Just retired from the Corps after 20 years, road with a Veteran club out of the Oakland area so you know where my support goes, but will say some of the weakest men hide behind a patch, just like in real combat you find out who is who when rounds start flying! Club, gang, group of people there will always be a scared weak soul hiding amongst them but there will always be solid men who pave the way and maintain warrior ethos

Bikers are human, meaning that you will meet good and bad. I’ve met some that would help fix your bike, feed you and put you up for a night or two. I’ve met others that you couldn’t turn your back to without getting hurt and robbed. That being said, most of them have a tender spot for children. I’ve been riding for forty years and have never seen a biker mistreat a child. Discipline yes but no abuse

So what’s the appeal of joining an MC since you’re going to have to back up your fellow members if/when they start trouble? I truly don’t understand why anyone would put themselves in a situation with known troublemakers that you’re obligated to back up, which puts both your freedom and life at risk.

When I went to prison, in Rawlings Wyoming, I got fronted on the yard the first day, like everyone. I stood my ground, with a 180 to the yard, listening for the footsteps, coming up behind me. Fortunately for everyone, that meat lump didn’t step. After that, it seemed only that guy had a problem with me, but I never had to correct him any more than a sideways glance. Glad you found recovery bro.

When I was younger, I worked with a lady who was wifed up to a pretty notorious biker club. Her brother in law had a huge crush on me and kept Asking her to ask me out and I politely told him no, I was a married woman with children. And I really thought this was going to be a problem. Now her brother in law was not yet in the MC, and when his big brother caught wind of what was going on,he came to my work and I thought Oh shit, things got fucking real, did the sign of the Cross, started recited Our Father's Prayer, lol.and then I had my had my finger on the phone to call security when when his Big 6'5 300 Lb body said, You must be Tammy, and I said, you can just call me dead on arrival, and he said, "Oh Sweetie, Im not here to hurt to you, honey, Im here to apologize for the behavior of my younger brother Steven and to let you know, he will never disrespect you again. I can see why he why he was attracted to you though, youre a stunning young woman!!!" Well after I got a shovel and got off the floor, I apologized for my misconceptions and thanked him and he slipped me 3 100.00 bills for a spa day to make up for all the stress his brother caused. I told him I couldn't take his money !!! He objected loudly in his deep booming voiced and said, " Beautiful, thats not MY money, that came directly out of Steven's ass !!! And it is Non-refundable !!! " He gave me a huge hug a peck on the check and told me if i ever needed anything or my my kids anything to let his wife know and they would be there !!!

Ya, their OWN KIDS. But these MCs are one of the biggest, if not the biggest reasons Fentanyl is being distributed in the U.S,/Canada. And they KNOW what it's doing. But they don't care. Also, they are very heavily involved in sex trafficking/prostitution, which I know this almost first hand and they force females into it. And don't let them leave. And lastly, look up what Paul Eischeid, an Arizona Hells Angel did to a single mother of 3 back in the early 2000s and why he/they did it. I can't remember her name, but I read the book about 15 years ago and also seen it on the news years later as he was on the run for it. And that's not uncommon among these MCs, what he/they did. But look into that story and a few others and then comment about "values". I've also done time, and I was told EXACTLY how to "persuade" women into and keep them in prostitution using manipulation and certain methods. And the two ppl who told me this (at separate times during separate bits) were a Jamaican Posse member and a full patch MC member. And it's pretty grimy. Also knew 2 escorts, 1 was beaten by one and the other had her ID forcefully taken and kept from her and made to prostitute. I knew both of them PERSONALLY.

As someone who has spent several periods of time homeless (most recently was a 6 month stretch last year spent in a local tent city) - I really appreciate you bringing attention to the housing crisis. I'll have to look into this Containing Luxury thing, but in general I recommend people watch a recent documentary called "Someone Lives Here" about this carpenter in Toronto who randomly just decided to start building small homes for homeless people in parks etc., and his battles with the law and such - It's a good watch. Something needs to be done about the issue - a big part of the problem is landlord greed, plain and simple.

He said the only club locked up where their was friction was the Angels. As far as state(Ca) here, you go with your own kind. I'm Mexican, so I went with the Mexicans, and they don't want you talking about it. You just have to program. I have seen bikers help out people that the cops wont help more times than I can count. Got to watch with my own eyes some squatters in this 75 year olds dudes rental home, it was the only thing keeping him in retirement, he was inches from having to go back to work so some POS's could squat in his home. Then the Bikers found out and told him they would get them out for a case of beer. They were nice enough to make the squatters clean the place for 3 hours. Last I heard they still check on that old man and share a beer with him. I feel safer around bikers than I do with police. At least with the bikers I know I will get a fair shake and so long as I am good dude and my word is good. You can't say that with Cops!

I grew up around bikers , solid down to earth people man for real. They don't demand respect they genuinely earn it by being real and decent people. That's the side no one talks about. One lost his life in a freeway shoulder changing a tire for a lady stranded he didn't know. Any time I went to a bar we went as a group I'm a small female I was younger then in my 20's and I promise you my " husband" was the 6'7 biker friend of mine 😂 big ol teddy bear really amazingly chill man. Except for that time I asked if we could shrink him in a dryer to see if he ends up looking like cousin it 😂 I had a beer tap thrown at me , I am not sorry either lol. When I had my divorce it was my friends mother I called her mama I had her keep an eye on my kids while at their father's make sure they're safe. Mama is an old school biker bitch she did walk her dog every day by that house quietly peacefully keeping an eye and never asked a thing for it. She did so mother to mother. You want someone you can count on those people are loyal to a fault. Ride safe man people drive stupid.

Cool story; my oldest was walking home from school a few years back....she was 17 at the time. A group of HS boys were following her and harassing her pretty good. She can stand her ground and tried to do, when things got more aggressive.....fortunately for her, between her school and our house was an MC clubhouse (won't name them but their colors are red/white ). A few, full patch members were watching this go down from their porch. They started walking towards my daughter and these boys.....needless to say, their presence alone was enough to scare the fuck outta these punks. I got the story verbatim from both my daughter and these members. As a thank you, I made homemade pasta and meatballs to go along with a few bottle of wine. The members told my kid if she ever ran into trouble again, to just come knockin'! We have since moved, but I will never forget the kindness these guys showed my kid. Thank you!!! 🤝

I cannot say how I know, but I have seen that honestly & integrity in people i met from 3 majors. I had been tested hard in my 20s. Hard enough to have paper. And mine was correct. Not rolling under pressure and giving respect has resulted in friendly reception when our paths crossed. One became a coworker when we were both being pressed Dating a stripper whose roommate was the P’s GF. The P mud checked me. Told him my paper. Everything cool. I didn’t roll when pressed. We, my lawyer &I, got 3 crooked LEO taken down & about 30+ cases thrown out& people freed. I have accomplished a lot in my life. But I am especially proud that I didn’t roll. I was looking at life for the charges but I am innocent, a higher court said so. Honor truly is a priceless reward. Never regretted rolling those dice. Most people see me as a good computer consultant. But those who needed to know, knew. One of the fugazy LEOs was using a homicide suspect for 8 child poisonings as his star witness against the man whose children she had poisoned. You never know ahead of time what not rolling will bring. But snitches live VW in fear & die ugly young deaths. I have had decades of a good life, and there is nothing I have ever done that I am ashamed of. (Not counting crimes of the heart - no way to keep an accurate score on that. But snitching? Just don’t bail out first chance, and listen to dudes talking lawyering. Found the one who was notoriously opposed to the corruption. He walked the walk. We made an agreement up front & we both kept our part. The guy who mudchecked me? I told him calmly that I saw his move and now that he had ny answer, any repetition of his challenges would be dealt with. We became friends. Different backgrounds, same values. Mutual respect. No further problems. Indian Joe from Indiana, hope yours worked out ok. /s/ “College boy” Dan, from Gville. Not in any club. But I have met several bikers. Always, you get the respect you give. And paper never goes away. Honor is an all or nothing thing. Great video. Delay. Honor is its own reward, and it also pays dividends your whole life. Hope some young bucks pock up what you’re dropping. - Matt’s dad

Was curious about the inter club politics behind bars, but working together strictly while incarcerated was what I figured. Then again, I’m in western Canada…one club runs the shit up here, you don’t want to run against them especially locked up. Then again, it’s been almost 19 years since I’ve seen a cell and 11 since I’ve worn a patch so basically I know sweet F.A. Currently. Cheers from Calgary

I grew up around the outlaws. My dad wasn't an affiliate or hang around. They would come to him to work on their bikes. These people were closer family than my actual family. Most of them are dead now, their life was real, but some of the greatest people i knew as a kid. Lol just dont piss them off.

Before I worked hospital security, I was a cop. I had a few dealings with MC's locally, nothing serious because I dont flap my yap over dumb shit. Well we have metal detectors in the ER. One of the boys must have crashed pretty hard because we had fuckin 20 of them show up. All of them flat out said "Yeah I have a gun, ill go put it up." Never gave us shit for having to come through the detectors upon reentry every time. Some of the guys obviously started getting a little worried because while everyone here is some form of ex LEO/corrections/military (and we do fight), there was 5 of us armed with sticks and tasers vs 20+ of them. I wasnt worried. Some of those dudes are absolutely fucking crazy but I knew they'd behave in a hospital full of sick and injured people. Criminal ethics are just weird like that. Doubt theyd want the headlines either way.

I lived in Florence Az. And once a year the HAMC would do a run by the state prison. The Florence Prison Run. The MC was always at the head of all the bikes. No one ever passed any of them and they were usually pretty deep in numbers. But it was always a good time watching them ride by

Right on brother I dig the video. I grew up around Bikers and MC’s. and a lot of times different clubs would come around and had the greatest parties and at first they rented field l from our family. When the party was over they cleaned the whole field up and they generally left it better than they had gotten it. So after that we didn’t charge them for the field and they argued about that for a few but since we didn’t take any money they gave us/me an invite. I was fifteen or sixteen years old so I had the best time at a party that I have ever had. Great group of people and lifetime friends.

Love the video. I have never been to prison or convicted of a felony. But you are so right about the federal government thing and the same holds true for a lot of local governments too. A few decades ago I was arrested, held on a high bond for 4 months, and then released without charges because I was a motorcycle technician who was getting a lot of business and praise from motorcycle club members. Even the IRS has harassed me for my career and lifestyle. Yes, we tend to be very protective of children and animals.

Had a neighbor in the 1% when I was younger. He used to let my friends and I play on his basketball hoop in his driveway. He also gave me my first beer when I was 16. He was an older army vet and gave me some good advice before I enlisted in the military and ended up over in Iraq. He passed away a couple years ago from what I heard, but I'll never forget how solid of a guy he was. He was a kind and generous dude to us kids, but gave off this aura of cold confidence like he could handle business in a heartbeat if needed.

They extradited me from my home in Maine... let me sit around for 4 months in Marion County, then threw me outside in Ocala..... came to get me in Maine... just to drop charges.....ugh.... go on vacation, leave on probation, come back on violation.... thankfully I was a dumb kid then. Im a doorman (in the UK). I know MCs are slightly differant here than in the US. But their rules and values are the same. We have some bikers come in from time to time. They are great guys. They treat us and our venue with respect, and everyone of them shakes all our hands as they leave. They said its because we have shown them respect, but without fearing them. Like most do. And they respect us for that. We now get on well with them.

I was on 4 Lane Freeway towing a trailer trying to get over to the off ramp, and the MC saw me trying to merge in. They got in front and behind me making the other trucks move and make room for me. I pulled into the gas station and they followed me to gas up as well. 2 of them came over and we talked for a bit good guys. 👍
