a walk around look at the SunF atv tire on the 07 Yamaha Grizzly 700. Great tire for the price. if you are in the market for an affordable set of tires this may be the set for you.
I had a set of 28"s on a Teryx. The fronts tended to baloon and rubbed the tie rod ends so I took them off and replaced with 27" Dirt tamers same height without rubbing.
I burn my rear tires quickly as I do a lot of flat terrain redlining the Grizz in 2WD mode. Definitely going to try these on the rear wheel knowing that they’re worth it. The knobs seem wide enough for Grip Studs to go through which I can’t install on tires with paddle like treads, something I’d like to try for winter riding on ice.
bubba6 richards what size did you go with on your grizzly I am looking at putting a set on mine but I’m not sure which to put on 26”or 27” I’m from WV so I’d like to know what size you found best for riding here thanks in advance
Brandon Houston ... I went with stock size tires. 25”. I absolutely love these tires and they are still in excellent shape. Would definitely buy them again hands down.
I have a 2006 grizzly. Tried putting 27” tires on 12” rim. Rubbed the mud guards on the back tire really badly. Bought these today and got the 25” instead. I was told they run a little large anyway.
@@larrymattox2471 I now have 1800 miles on mine. They have one plug in them. Other than that still 90% tread left on them. They are crazy reliable!! Enjoy
I have owned 3 sets of these same sunf tires. 24 and 25 inch. They hold up great. I have them on my Honda 500 and they get amazing traction! Highly recommended by me!
@@fisheyeguy How do you like them so far and have you used them in the snow? I'm looking at getting a set for my Honda rubicon 500 and my Honda foreman 450 es.
@@fisheyeguy Yeah I decided to pick up two sets of these for my rubicon 500 and foreman 450 I think they will do well for what I use them for in the winter time they get used a lot to take the load of my body.
I have this same style tire sold under the Ocelot brand name. Copies of the Maxxis big Horn. There's a bunch of companies selling them now. Great tires but you do need to pay attention to the tire composition. Some are real soft rubber & some are rock hard. All in all though, the tread pattern is a great all around/universal & very usable tire 👍👍
Broknex I’ll try to keep everyone posted as to how the tires are doing. I did have a guy message me on one of the other videos saying that a friend of his has put at least 1000 miles on a set of the SunF tires and they are still going strong. I hope I get the same kind of performance out of these tires. Thanks for watching!
@@robertwalker2225 I like them alot check out my walk around video of my set up Honda foreman on msa m12 diesel 14 inch rims and 27 inch sunf tires ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-mXJWFGAZT3U.html
JP Riding I’ve been happy with the tires thus far. They are a extremely comfortable riding tire in the trails. I wish they were a little better in mud but I usually avoid mud if I can help it lol. I live in south central Kentucky and do a lot of riding at Gregory Lake ATV park in Drakesboro.
I love mine, I have a staggered set on my Honda Rancher, but stop the cap Buddy they definitely have that tractor feel at low speeds due to the aggressive tread pattern, but they are great in anyway application! Mud, Dirt, trail, street, and Rocks I’ve never had a problem from them at all!!!
The tires are holding up great. I have not put a lot of hours on them but the riding I have done I have been very impressed with the quality and ride comfort. I did not have them balanced when mounted, however they ride smooth and get good traction. Thanks for watching!
I just ordered a set for my 350 rancher. I do a lot of riding in the mud out at my hunting lease. They can’t be any worse than the stock tires i have now. I’ll let you know how they do in the mud
I have found that they do surprisingly well in the mud. I did not purchase them for that purpose as I am more of just a trail rider, but I have had them in some fairly muddy situations and they have not disappointed. Im sure you will be happy with the tires. Keep us posted as to how they work out for you.
They hold their own in the mud. I have not been in anything to deep with them but they do fairly good for moderate mud. They are however an overall good all terrain tire, smooth riding, good traction.
@@MrGunner945 That merely proves the percentage of genuinely smart people watching You Tube to get their tire info is pretty low. You asked a very important question. However if anyone finds a set of radial tires at that cheap of price, let us all know!
There is certainly a lot of useful info in this review but realistically most tires brand new probably look great, ride good, and perform well when the treads have no wear on them. Tires for a vehicle are like boots for your feet. How they hold up to mileage is what matters most. For a light duty use ATV that isn't going to be ridden very often or very hard, these tires likely will be just fine.
Very true. Mine are likely to dry rot before they wear out due to mileage, lol. It would be interesting to hear from someone who has put lots of miles on these tires to see how they have held up.
DId you line up any markings on the tire with the valve stems in consideration of balance when they were mounted? I didn't see a any colored dots as auto tire come with. Thx
Mel Robinson I took them to Discount Tires and had them change out the old tires to these tires. I am not aware of any markings in relation to the valve stems. I haven’t noticed any out of balance feeling from the tires they are a very smooth riding tire. Hopefully if there were any concern about mounting orientation Discount Tire would have noticed.
@@MrGunner945 Thanks for the response. I mounted mine yesterday with my Harbor Freight (Hardly worth the Freight) manual tire changer. Ummm, I needed a work out anyway.... Doing it myself, I was able to take all the time I wanted to wire wheel the sealing surfaces of the rims as there was some crusted on dirt there. No leaks. Looking forward to trying these meats out.
@@melrobinson6919 LOL! I plan on buying one of those tire changers form there. I was also going to buy that motorcycle tire changer jig that mounts to the top of the existing unit. Anyways, is it actually worth getting, does it work okay?
@@markalan4026 It was work changing out the SunF Rhino tires, but I like to do things myself...so long as my almost 74 YO body can do them...hah. I was able to really clean up the rim mating surfaces so that there would be no leaks. More recently, I actually tried to remove a 14" boat trailer tire from it's rim more recently with it, and no go. Couldn't get it completely off and was putting a lot of stress on it. I even broke the 2x12 board I had the changer bolted to with the other end wedged under my F350 wheel... This tells me it should be bolted to the garage concrete floor with removable bolts. For as little as I need to change tires when I have a local tier place who will mount and balance a tire like this for $15, probably not worth it and I have it taking up space in the garage.
@@melrobinson6919 Okay. What you said in your reply pretty much answered all of the concerns I had. I'm thinking I'll go to the scrap yard and grab a couple lengths of flat plate iron (5ft long or so), and mount the tire changer to them. Probably just leave it outside in the back yard next to the shed for my neighbors to look at, I'll keep it covered up at least.... I part out atvs, also do quit a bit of riding myself, both motorcycle and atv, so it should see plenty if action.

I do like these tires and will Proably be buying some soon for my 570 sportsman but that said they are not 6 ply tires like the big horns, they are 2 ply with a 6 ply rating. That is why the big difference in $. Still a great tire.
I did check and they are a 6 ply rating. I was unable to verify if they are indeed only 2 ply but they very well may be. I do have a set of itp mud lites which do have a 6 ply rating on my rancher and I got a puncture shortly after install. So far I have not had any issues with the sunf tires even after riding over some rough terrain that could potentially puncture a tire. So far I have been impressed with the tires.
Can you provide proof on the 2ply claim? I know they're 6 ply tires with 2 plies of Nylon reinforcement. Most people won't know how to properly read the markings on tires.
Friend of mine put those on he likes them but the rubber is cracking at the base ot the treads after a year of using them ...the rubber is probably not a high quality compared to name brands you get what you pay for...
I’ll definitely keep an eye on that. As of now I have not experienced that problem, but you are right you do get what you pay for. Thanks for the comment!
Tyler B they do good in mud for the most part, I have not had them in any snow but would imagine they would hold their own in moderate snow depths. I like them, 1 the price was great and 2 they are a great all around, smooth riding all terrain tire. I plan to do a video updating everyone on how they are holding up, but as of now I have been very pleased with the tires!
Those are the knockoff of GBC's Dirt Tamers, I just question the quality of the rubber that SunF uses in order for them to be that cheap, but as long as they work 👍
The gbc tire is a knock off the Max's Big Horn tire. Maxis was the first company to come out with this tread style. It works so well. That multiple companies, mainly Chinese companies have cloned the tread pattern. The difference in price is because a Max's bighorn is a radial tire and all these other ones are bias ply
