10/10 SWITCH GAMES PART 2 - FEMTROOPER www.thefemtrooper.com thefemtrooper thefemtrooper Instagram: thefemtrooper Threads: thefemtrooper My first 10/10 Switch Games list here: • 10/10 SWITCH GAMES - F...
On this topic... somebody posted the following on this fantastic spoiler-free review of the game: "Harvestella probably won't get a sequel cuz the producer left square enix" (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-1XrYF24-PNw.html)
Loved Let's Go Eevee! Played it with my 7 year old and that made it really special. Also, love love love Theatrerhythm! The nostalgic music makes me want to cry. I'm very much a musical person and these songs and any amazing songs in video games are a big part of what makes a game fantastic 🎶🎶
Another great episode 😀 and so pumped for Part 3 😅 I love that the Switch has seen so many great games over the years. Easily has become my new favourite console. I am always so stoked to see Harvestella make any of your lists haha. It is definitely one of my 10/10 games 🤩 Such incredibly beautiful worlds and interesting stories (main and side quests). I've yet to try Fire Emblem Engage and Paper Mario Oragami King but definitely excited to try them out 😊
Oooh part 2, can’t wait for part 3. and what an interesting list of games you selected, very varied as I know some of them obviously get some shade, so it’s cool to see your positive outlook on them. Also yeah highly agree with Super Mario RPG.
I totally agree with EVERYTHING you said about Final Bar Line! Fantastic rhythm game that I find myself coming back to multiple times. Plus there is so much DLC to try to get through. Curious if they have added Rebirth songs because that score is phenomenal!! I really need to get that DQ Trilogy. I’ve completed 4, IX and IX. Love the series but I feel like I need to play those old ones too. Putting it on my ‘to-get’ list! Great vid as always!!
I really loved origami king! Its nice to hear another voice of praise. So many people seemed stuck on ttyd and its game mechanics that they didn't give this game a chance.
I’m pretty sure I mentioned this in another video you uploaded but I finished Super Mario RPG last month and, as someone with no nostalgia for the SNES original… yeah it absolutely deserves to be on a 10/10 list. *VERY LIGHT SPOILER AHEAD!!!* One of my favorite moments is when Mallow had to hold Mario back from decking Gaz in the face. We’re so used to Mario being the friendliest friend to ever friend that seeing him being willing to assault a child (albeit one that insulted Mario multiple times) got an audible laugh out of me.
Haha, I’m so glad you enjoyed it! It’s a really neat game and a shame we didn’t get more true sequels. Paper Mario is great but it’s not a true sequel to Super Mario RPG. Maybe one day…
Thank you for another great video! I'm currently playing Harvestella, I'm enjoying it so far. I love all things Final Fantasy but I suck at rhythm games but maybe one day I'll try Theatre Rhythm Final Bar Line. I'm so happy you love Fire Emblem Engage. That was my game of the year when it came out! I loved everything about it and its so good to see other people enjoyed it too! 😂
I recently picked Harvestella back up and am liking it way more than I had before! I’m in Chapter 3A right now. As a fan of farm sims, I really like the way the farming aspect in it feels even if it’s not a huge focus
I have enjoyed this video. There are many people who already know and/or have played the best known games and are looking for other, less known 10/10 games. This list is very heavy on turn-based RPG which is not my favorite genre, so I don't have a strong opinion on some of them. I have finished Origami King, which I love. Currently playing Harvestella (30 hours) and while I like many aspects, I miss one very important one: personality. I don't feel any personal attachment to my character. I will finish the game but don't think it will become one of my favorite ones. Next on my list is Mario RPG, which I recently bought. Thank you for the video.
So here are a few of my 10/10 switch games (in no particular order): Paper Mario The Origami King Mario Rabbids Kingdom Battle Octopath Traveler Atelier Ryza Trilogy Fairy Tail Vengeful Guardian Moonrider Rahpsody The Marl Kingdom Chronicles Star Ocean The Second Story R Unicorn Overlord
I loved Let's Go as well, as someone who grew up with Red/Blue. I agree I would love a "normal" remake. I was a bit let down by Paper Mario, but the charm and humor was 10/10 for sure!
A 10/10 for me is Three Houses. I've put hundreds of hours in, and never once got bored. It came at the perfect time for me, and I LOVED getting into all of the other games in NA afterwards.
I thought they were awful, but to each their own! I'm glad you liked them! As for my 10/10 games on the switch... I'd go with Three Houses, Mario RPG (like yourself), Animal Crossing, Link's Awakening remake, and Xenoblade 2. Tried to avoid multi platform titles, otherwise Stardew and Hades would be on there!
Great video! My 10/10 games are definitely BOTW, TOTK, Mario wonder, Metroid dread, Super smash bros but there are so many more I have enjoyed. I agree Harvestella is really good and unique but I just wish that epic story was delivered in a more interesting way. Getting through all that dialogue with no voice acting was brutal. But the characters were honestly some of the best! I loved that each one had there own quest line so you really got to know them!
I love your ranking videos. So much that isn’t on other people’s list. Also I hate them because it makes me want games I didn’t consider before, I have 4 expensive children so it’s not a good combo lol. Good stuff. Thanks.
Paige, it’s great that you enjoyed these games so much. As for me - some of my peak experiences among Switch games would include Streets of Rogue, Tangledeep, and Into The Breach. I guess I often gravitate to “indie” games! But I still enjoy some of the marquee first-party releases as well. I think I’d also include Super Mario Odyssey as one of my standout Switch experiences.
Paper Mario The Origami King is definitely on my 10/10 list as well,I loved that game so much,so I was very happy to see it on your list too. I am going to make another post about my 10/10 games too,but wanted to say this first.😅
Paper Mario Origami King is definitely in my list too. The start of the series set an exceptionally high standard (apparently, I’ve never actually played them but can’t wait for the thousand year door remake! Played the Wii one and all after) I was bummed by the reviews thinking it would be like sticker star but I got it second hand on a whim ages after it came out and I ADORED it!
Great video. Let’s go Eevee is a nice relaxing game to play specially after finishing a game like Dead space or Alan wake. Origami king was my first paper Mario game and I didn’t think it was bad either.
The battle system for Paper Mario was super fun, creative and challenging. Plus, as a stationery fan, what greater delight than scissors and elastics as bosses? To paper objects they are genuinely terrifying, which added a horror element we don't normally associate with the genre. It made me a Paper Mario fan.
Great video. And I totally agree with ur opinions towards dragon quest! I had very similar experience when I first tryed a jrpg game. Went to original nes game, loved it n grinded hard and found I much enjoyed the mobile version of the game. Excellent work and game insights. Happy to subscribe and join ur chill community 👾🎮💜
It may be controversial to say, but I think the Let's Go games are the definitive Kanto experience. This is coming from someone who grew up on both the original and FR/LG. They did a beautiful job with the presentation and the music, and I think the catching mechanic is fun, even though I really don't like Pokemon GO.
Totally agree with you about Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu/Eevee. Had a blast playing those games when they came out! Wish they would make more Let’s Go games for the different regions. Also, remember you mentioning it in a previous video, but I also enjoyed Pokemon Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl. So much better than Scarlet/Violet, which i never finished…
Nice list of games! I still personally prefer Three Houses over Engage, but I do agree that Engage is visually gorgeous and incredibly solid with its tactical gameplay!
I'd like to see more videos like this but with good solid 8/10 games. Not every game is going to be amazing but some float under the radar enough despite still being fun. For my tastes sakuna rice and ruin was a solid 8. Not going to beat Mario Wonder but still a good time. Just a thought.
Harvestella? I'd never heard of that one, but it sounds like it floats my boat really well. I love the sound of the depth to the story where it twists things up, and a wee bit of farming suits me. Sounds pretty good for replay too. Count me in. As a genral rule, I LOVE the fact you are not afraid to say that you're not into difficult games. I'm an old git, and I really dislike when people posture and try to be elitist and say things like "you're not a REAL gamer unless you submit to the challenge" or other stupid stuff. Gaming should be relaxing if you want it to be. I wish more people had the self honesty to embrace what THEY wanted rather than trying to appeal to what others think.
@@femtrooper I've already took the plunge and bought it :) Would be rude not to. And yup, I'm a BIG fan of openness and honesty in gaming. Far too much elitism in many hobbies. Don't need it in something which is meant to be fun. Keep up doing what you do .
Bought hollow knight digital a while back and never played it. I finally just recently got around to it and it is definitely a 10 for me. I loved it so much I bought the physical copy to have in my collection
Dq 12&3 amazing 1 is great for the time and totally playable still number 2 you end up going back to the map one 1 and it's cool to see it all again, Then in 1&2 you keep hearing about this guy that was legendary and you play as him on the quest you were hearing about in3
yeetube brainrot made think at the beginning you would say "before I get into my list, let's have a word from my sponsor" I really dug origami king in the beginning but the battles did start to wear me down w/ the lack of incentive, feels like the only thing you get out of it is coins and confetti which you can just get by exploring around, so I tried to avoid fighting since it just eats up time and I even started to groan if I did enter a battle, if this game just had an exp and leveling system with traditional battles, it could've been sooooo good, but it ended up falling flat to me (make whatever paper pun you can)
I haven't got around to it but I have the rom with the English translation patch of Super Famicom Dragon Quest 1 + 2, I think that's how I'm going to play it. Me and the first Dragon Quest game are the same age lol it came out the same month and year I was born
Ok that's long ways from ft.worth tx but I see you are really having fun with your video games and that's cool 😎 so keep gaming on and I swear you and I have so much in common it's cool to love games better than doing drugs frfr!
Ok, you sold me on Origami King. I love puzzles and each combat encounter looks like a puzzle. I was just on the fence because it is much different from The Thousand Year Door. 10/10s? Monster Hunter Stories 2 (soon to add Stories 1), Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate, and Rise/Sunbreak. Yeah, I"m biased.❤ Vampire Survivors is surprisingly addictive. You just move around, but there is strategy because you also need to avoid enemies and how you choose the upgrades as you level up will shape how you play on the same map. You even unlock the ability to turn off things you don't want to make it easier to get a build you like. On that note, Hades is also amazing and I hated roguelikes that came out before these. Guess they just needed to be the right genre combo.
People are often so hung up on their expectations of a Paper Mario game, that the newer games rarely get a fair chance to be seen as what they are. I really liked Origami King, too. One of the best games in the series. Harvestella is one that's been in my "backlog" for quite a while. Heard good things about it, but I just didn't get to it yet. And good call on Theatrhythm. That doesn't get enough love. My 10/10s on Switch? Obvious ones would be Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom, Mario Kart 8, also Hyrule Warriors (the first one) is excellent. If the Dragon Quest collection is fair game, I'd also nominate the Etrian Odyssey collection. All its games are amazing and they play better than expected on Switch. Same with the Aleste collection. GG Aleste 3 alone makes that a 10/10. Crimzon Clover is on Switch. That's an easy 10/10. And since Dragon Quest was mentioned, DQ Builders is a lot of fun. Fatal Frame 4, Project Diva Mega Mix, La Mulana 1&2, Trials of Mana, those are all great games. I guess it depends on how strict you want to be with your 10s. But this is about having fun, so they all qualify. And finally Ys Origin. Old game, but damn that might be an 11.
I love all of these games but I have a very special place in my heart for dragon quest 3 as it was my first game I ever beat! and thank you for saying yeah, who cares if they are mobile ports?! lol super fun games
A kind of unrelated question, is your husband also a gamer? I'm just curious to know if you both share video games as a hobby. Thanks for your content, it gets me psyched to finish Xenoblade Chronicles and the other suff on my backlog!🙏🙂
Harvestella keeps looking better and better the more recommendations pop up. I was really excited on announcement but quickly lost interest, the farming wasn't for me and then there were the lackluster character customization options with the male, female and singular they/them pretty much looking the same...
Cool games. I noticed the games you like a lot are more for women. Males can play them as well but these games are more geared towards women with the cute things in them etc.
@@femtrooper and the dq phone games (at least DQ4 which I played on iPhone) don’t let you use a controller even if you connect one to your phone, and they don’t even have a mode to play in horizontal orientation. Just put them on switch square enix!!!
I'm surprised you like Dragon Quest 1-3 if you don't like grinding and you don't like frustrating games. I found DQ 1 painful. Did you use a walk through for those early DQ games?
Maybe I'm just too hard to please but I don't have any 10/10 games on the switch, maybe some are 9/10, those being Dragon Quest 11, Chained Echoes, Xenoblade 1 remake, Octopath Traveller 2, Trails to Azure, Trails of Cold Steel 4
Harvestella was such a hidden gem of a game for the switch ❤ I actually preordered 2 copies because I was so excited to play it, I was not disappointed at all❤❤❤ Loved seeing your list of games thanks for sharing, I’ll have to give fire emblem Engagement a try as it dose seem appealing and interesting ( I’m just miffed my girl Camilla is only a DLC after thought in the game😈) I liked three houses however I honestly felt it was missing a fair amount to make it a truly amazing game🤔 ( and for the record my favorite game in the series is fire emblem fates conquest) 10 out of 10 switch games mmm well for this pirate it would definitely be these Harvestella Unsighted Ruined King: a League of Legends Story Dust an Elysian tail Atelier Ryza 2: lost Legends & the secret Fairy Atelier Sophie 2: the Alchemist of the mysterious dream Fairy Fencer F: Advent dark force Haven Shantae and the pirates curse❤ Star ocean the second story R The legend of heroes trails from zero Dragon Star Varnir
I love Let's go Eevee and already beat it three times, but the game has issues. The catching mechanic is fun; for the first playthrough. At the second and third it becomes really annoying as it pretty much the only way to level up. And you can't even ignore that and go under leveled- the game forces you to be on a certain levels at some sections of the game. Still, love the game, but it is not perfect. Perfect for one playthrough maybe. And part of what makes Pokemon Pokemon is the replay value.
I actually own Origami King, but it felt like an impulse buy more than anything, not even sure if I'll like it. I might try it out eventually. Might play Super Mario RPG and 1000 Year Door first, I'll view Origami King on it's own merits, I really don't care for, "comparing games to it's own series" shit.
Out of what I have played on the Switch, I'd have to go with the Crossbell Duology as a 10/10, though I must admit that I have a fair number of Switch games on my pile of shame, including a couple on this list (Harvestella and Paper Mario: The Origami King). On that last game, this video is three years old, and you may have seen it, but you will get a kick out of it if you haven't. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-zCXrspb-qLg.html
Glad to see Fire Emblem Engage getting some love. It's my favorite game of last year, my favorite Switch exclusive and in my top 3 Fire Emblem games (with Path of Radiance and Fates). A new contenter for my 10/10 list is Unicorn Overlord. It's so good, Vanillaware just doesn't miss.
How does Engage have a better story than 3H? I haven’t played Engage, but 3H was incredible to me. Do you not like the grittier feel of 3H or something?
You got it! 3H is in a school setting which is typically not my thing, a bit darker and had a multiple story-line thing going on. It just wasn’t my thing personally…and that’s okay! I just enjoyed Engage WAY more.
Engage feels like a children game story wise, and I dob't say it negatively. It just cute and at the right mindset it is great. I played it right after beating Yakuza Ishin so a simple and cute story was what I needed honestly.
FE Engage really was incredible. I still think I enjoyed three houses more, but the story was pretty good IMO. Especially the twist where you lose the rings and have to work with limited rings was a good way to shake up the gameplay via the story. also, I never played Origami King even though I loved the other Paper Mario games I've played.
You sounded so stressed with some of your picks! Relax girl! You are entitled to enjoy whatever you want! I have to say it was an interesting selection. I lip synced mario RPG when you introduced it lol! Here is my list of my favourite games: Shin megami tensei 5 Persona 5 royal Ff7 crisis core Mario odyssey Kingdoms of amalur re reckoning Ys8 lacrimosa of Dana Dark souls remastered Luigis mansion 4 Ori collection Streets of rage 4 The takeover Dragonball fighterz Eastward Cotton fantasy Dusk diver 2 Ai the somnium files Diablo 3 ultimate evil edition Super mario wonder Hollow knight Dragon quest ix Fire emblem three houses Lego star wars the skywalker Saga Kirby and the forgotten land Nier automata Valkyria chronicles 4
