Important Info! If you plan to hunt the Pokémon accessible via the void glitch, note that, shiny or not, they will NOT pass Pokébank and transfer to Gen 6 and 7. That is because the Locations were accessed through glitching and not through the legitimate event items, so subsequently the Pokémon caught using the glitch will not have the event flag necessary to mark them as legitimate. If you use an AR to cheat the Member Card or Oak's Letter into your game (not Azure Flute though because that was never released), Darkrai and Shaymin will pass through Pokebank just fine since now the event flag marking them as legit has been activated, shiny or not.

Gen 4 seems to really like me when it comes to random Shinies. In Soul Silver, I randomly found a Shiny Magnemite in the Safari Zone. In Platinum, I found a random Shiny Roselia on the route with the mansion. In Pearl, I randomly found a Shiny Buneary in Eterna Forest while with Cheryl. I did catch all of them, and I used the Magnemite and Buneary on my teams in those games.

I honestly just love how excited you are when talking about these hunts! If I wasn't stuck hunting this Tepig in White, I would definitely be dusting off my old brick for some of these.

I’d like to see one for HGSS. The Johto starters are so easy to shiny hunt for. Just save in front of the machine and press the A button (or tap the check button that’s located in the bottom right hand corner of the touch screen) . Then soft reset if it isn’t shiny. Some games require you to check the summary screen. If I remember correctly, that’s not the case in HGSS. I believe the image of the starter Pokémon on the top screen will have the shiny colour if it is shiny. If that’s the case, you know when any of the starters are shiny. So if you wish, you can check all three starter Pokémon. If you do check all three, it could end up being a phase hunt.

I'm really happy you decided to do a Gen IV video and I'm even happier you picked Diamond and Pearl since Pearl is my favorite game of all time!

9:30 you have to talk to 30 indeed. But some ninja dude one a route gives you a odd key stone, there is one hidden behind the small water at your home town and you can find them digging for treasure.

Awesome hunts! Lately I have been getting into chaining shinies using the PokéRadar, although I must admit it is not quite as exhilarating as encountering a full odds shiny!

For the honey tree hunt, there is a website you can use to calculate two of the four munchlax trees using your TID since 2 of the trees are based on the secret ID and the other two are based on TID

like riley and cheryl there is an other trainer like that name mira in the Wayward Cave just below the cycling road and sad that i won't be able to utilize this video because a couple years ago i sold all my gen4 games except heartgold (i keep that one to be able to transfer my pokemons from my gen3 games to my lastest games and HG is my favorite gen4 game)

My first ever shiny hunt was for Giratina in Platinum a little over a year ago. I started playing with Pokémon Blue so many years ago and lost interest until a few years ago and then because of content creators like you. I actually never saw your Giratina video until after I got mine but it was well worth it. Thank you for all of your videos and I am extremely looking forward to doing some of these hunts!

That was so cool! I'm just doing my first playthrough ever of Pearl and it's been my luckiest game EVER! I encountered a shiny Starly on the second route and added it to my team! :D Then, only yesterday, I encountered a shiny Pikachu... but KOed it with a critical hit T_T I was so mad!

There are a few more double encounter trainers in these games too. Under the cycling road there is a cave where you can find a girl with pink hair called Mira that needs escorting out of the cave. Inside Victory Road on the path to the secret Shaymin garden there is another girl called Marley that you can encounter two Pokemon with. And I think you can do double encounters with Buck in Stark Mountain.

My original shiny hunt in Platinum way back when was for Cresselia. Boy oh boy was it tedious, and I raged a lot, but it was worth it for that beautiful blue shiny~

Yeah!!! I love DP they were the first pokemon games I played and I still love them. Even so much to the point that I'm hunting Manaphy on them RN. Really hope it's a quick hunt so that I can go and do some of these amazing hunts. Especially the double hunts and dongle hunts look like fun.
