@Matthew Rider he really only had 1 bad year defensively. He is know for hustling and diving all over the field so idk what you mean by calling him lazy. Ig not running out a pop up once in a while? Griffey should be #1
@Rpaddy07
@Rpaddy07 3 года назад
cobes Ψ agreed, but the explanation here makes sense. Arod really had the best career, regardless of roids his production was still there. Plus he is one of the greatest third baseman’s of all time as a fielder too, Griffey was a great outfielder but was mostly known for his swing. It’s definitely a hard choice, but I don’t think arod even needed the steroids to succeed. That’s what he took when he got injured later in his career, that is really what helped him mostly at the end. But yeah Griffey is probably a more realistic choice here

As a 71 y.o. geezer who has closely watched baseball since '58, nobody compares to Willie Mays...I was lucky enough to grow up in SF watching him play...in my mind, never has there been a more entertaining player and a man who loved the game and the fans...I'd take Willie over Jr, but without the injuries (which you can't exclude) I rank him 2nd behind Willie...as it is, though, I'd take Aaron #2,

I saw Griffey Jr play early in his career as a child in the late 80’s at Fenway park against the Red Sox. years down the road in ‘02 I saw him play in his final years at Colorado as a member of the Reds. It was a special moment because I was now an adult. I stood up a clapped for him when he pinched hit in the 9th inning. I have huge respect for this player. I saw A rod too in Fenway as a Mariner. Ken Griffey Jr is easily the best #1 pick of all time not just because of the PED situation with A-Rod, but he saved baseball in Seattle. A-Rod rode Junior's coattails in Seattle, went to Texas and put up historic numbers for a crappy team, and went to New York, only to become 2nd fiddle to Jeter (I know he's better than Jeter but if he performed more admirably in the playoffs, then there would be no issue). From the beginning of his career to his 5th year in Cincinnati, it was the Ken Griffey Jr. show.

Funny thing: I like Topps Bunt. I had fun with it for a while. But I got so mad when I realized I was locked out of my Guest account collection after a phone transfer that I didn't go back. So... I don't know, maybe I'll give it another shot.

Five tool players are how I rate the greatest of alltime. Players like Willie Mays, Barry Bonds, Ken Griffey, Rickey Henderson, Mickey Mantle, Dave Winfield, Roberto Clemente ect...

I noticed Dansby Swanson before I realized you were talking about Strasbourg and I almost spit out my milk thinking you were about to say Dansby was the 8th best #1 overall pick.
