Oh wow. The Lord spoke to me through your video. I compare myself to others a lot. And I almost always come out on the bottom. Doing this caused me to quit journaling for 2 years. Thank you for being such an amazing woman of the Lord
Thank you so much for this video!! It helped me get started with Bible Journaling and now I've watched it again. I think it will be a great overview for a new group starting as you explain all the basics so well. Thank you so much!!
Was encouraged that you shared we don't have to do art in our Bibles. I don't feel confident enough to start there, so I was happy to have you share about other ways to do Bible journaling. I am excited to start. Thanks so much.
Absolutely! Sometimes it is intimidating to jump right in. But art worship can be just as powerful in journal or on a canvas or anywhere! God bless you in your time with Him!
I love how you color it still readable some tutorial are crazy that for me they are just doing it for more views and their bible look trash already like no respect already for the word of God
Dearest Monica, what blessing from God to bump into your video. Your have such amazing talent, such a peacefulness about you and such profound gentle words. I used to a few years ago do creative journaling in my scrap book, but unfortunately allowed the comparrison/jelousy rule and I stopped and began adult colouring books instead. Only the last few weeks I have began journalling again starting a war binder, but still picking at my work. Your video has bought revelation to me I need to open my heart wide when I am journalling to let all my creativity flow back out again. God bless you in copious abundance my dear lady. Thankyou.
Praise the Lord Rhiannon! This is amazing. You are very sensitive to the voice of God, I can tell! May He bless your time with Him abundantly! You're most welcome, of course, to join my Facebook group and share what you're working on there. We're a pretty small, but encouraging group. Love to have you join.
It was so fun getting to know you a bit better & learning about your journey. I'm afraid I don't do Facebook so can't join in with everyone there, but I think it is awesome that you & others have organized Bible Journaling groups there. As for me, I am trying to branch out from the margins of my Bible, where I have always done word studies or identified important passages & "loosen up a bit" with some of the techniques you've demonstrated. I love color & am fascinated with this whole process! Once again, thank you for all you do!
You are most welcome! Thanks for the encouraging words. Nothing wrong with margin-only journaling as well! All that matters is spending time with God and interacting with the Word! It's been a learning process and a life-giving journey for me, too! God bless!
Hi Monica, I love your ten journaling tips! All that you said answers the Who, What, When Where, Why and How! :) I love seeing all your bible journaling pages. I was wondering if you have done a video on the trees along the river at the beginning. Do you have this project in your etsy store? Also, what a great reminder that we aren't to compare ourselves with others. I think we can all say we've done that and that's one thing the Lord told us not to do. There was another one I wanted to ask about, but can't remember at the moment! :) God bless you! :)
Thank you Monica for this great video! I am just beginning Bible journaling and am waiting for an ESV Journaling Bible I've ordered. It's just like yours, but large print. I'm excited to get it, but don't know where or how to begin. I will pray about it and see where God leads me. I've bought several tools, pencils, markers, stickers, etc.
Keep up the great job you are doing. Love you sharing your talent with us. I will try harder not be jealous that I do not have the talent to draw a straight line but with the help of google images I am gaining confidence in journaling and getting more in the word which is great for this grandmother.
Thank you, Betty. It is hard for all of us on to fight jealousy. And it's so good for each one of us to grow in our love for the Word! Thanks for your encouraging spirit!
Monica, your pages are so beautiful! Thank you for this video, I'm at fault on #6, thank you for opening my eyes so that I can rebuke this sin. God bless you fully! 💚
Such a great video! I thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish. You truly made some awesome pointers as I found myself agreeing with you more times than not. Shaking my head yes, and saying to self, "right / exactly" !! Going to join you on fb. xo
Sometimes I google image things that I want to draw. you can always print something out and trace or transfer it. You can type text and do the same thing. Or, just use the God-given talent and handwriting He's given you. He's faithful, and I believe He blesses us when we give whatever we can to Him in worship! I hope this helps?
Your artwork is truly a gift from God that you are giving to him in his book of his words. I have the inspire bible NLT it has drawings on most pages so all im basically doing is colouring. Sadly my handwriting would spoil it. Looking forward to sharing your journey
Thanks so much for your encouraging words. Be sure to check out my "freestyle lettering" tutorial. There's a great tip in there for using your own handwriting to create beautiful words on your page! Here's the link: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-83CqhqmQToo.html
Very nice video and you have a beautiful video! I have always wanted to do Bible Journaling for some years now but never have wanted to spend so much on a Bible to draw in when I just got a new Bible in Giant Print so that I can see it! I had thought about using it but did not know if I should since it's not a Bible to journal in so I have not started doing anything with it yet but I want to so bad since I have such problems with reading and remembering I thought this would really help me out!
I always comment on your videos because they are so good. I love the idea of bible journaling being an act of worship and a way to interact with the Lord. My heart leaped when I heard you say that you homeschool. I have homeschooled my son since birth. He's 11. Continue in His Word and grace. Do you have a process video of the Gen. 1? I love the garden like picture.
Thank you so much! I do have a video for the Genesis garden. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-WtLgvs5PYT8.html Hope you enjoy it! And yes, homeschooling is super fun. Blessings!
You said in this video who you are in this, I don't know who I am. I do know I love Bible journaling, love it. I can't draw stick people Please give me some ides. I love what you do!!!
the problem I turn myself to other people say I'm not good not to draw or this'll my beautiful or your work it is so beautiful I love to draw I love the pain I'm glad you're feel like I'm good enough that's the problem and I know I'll drawing and paint my happy place .
Hi Monica, thank you for the journaling tips, It will help me. Your Bible is amazing you are a great artist. I am not good with drawing I will practice. My Bible is the Inspire and I can color the image in it. I did some scrapbooking style in it. Thank you again for the inspiration. God bless you and your family. xo Francine
You Bible is beautiful! I also homeschool. Do you do this with your children at all? I have trouble finding time to pull out all the supplies. Thank you for sharing!
My 7-year-old daughter is getting into Bible journaling. I got her the Inspire Bible for her birthday. My 5-year-old son likes to see what I do and watch the process. I definitely utilize nap/rest time!
What I don't understand though is why people actually draw over the words. If one wants to do a whole page, use a piece of paper and make a tip in out of it or something... I don't know I kind of find it disrespectful to draw over scripture...
hey guys i found out that Christians need to keep the sabbath Saturday not Sunday check out the amazing facts youtube channel and they explain the reasons why you shout keep the Saturday sabbath
