I always knew Saturn's arms can be broken off without mods due to him being just an upscaled Loader but with the attribute to *disable* breakable limbs enabled. But here's a tidbit you might have never found out before: Saturn's lootpool title refers to a name "Talos". Potentially the name originally intended for the thing. Let's hope Hyperion doesn't ban his worship now!
I guess it makes sense. Talos was the name of a giant robot made by the greek god of forges and fire, Hephaestos. But I guess renaming it makes also sense, because Hyperion is one of Saturns moons
If I remember right, Talos was supposed to be a miniboss you fight in Opportunity as part of one of the side missions, but they ended up putting a Constructor in its place instead, and moved Talos (renamed Saturn) to Fyrestone

Fun fact after you beat the warrior then complete the game don’t save quit , exit to Eridium blight the head back to hero pass , then head all the way to the vault of the Warrior and when you get the you’ll see jack doubles , they will spaw infinitely
Hey Joltz, if you ever decide making a part 2 of this video, there is a weird glitch with the Mimic enemy's model in Tina's DLC. By using Maya's Thoughtlock on it, it will go back to its dormant state but freak out all over your screen. Since I discovered it on my own I don't know exactly how known it is.

A bit off topic since it's bl3 but I found some papers on a bookshelf that goes over the opening scene from borderlands 1. The bookshelf can be found at the lodge in the guns and tentacles dlc, so if you ever do a video over things you didn't know for bl3 maybe this can be a part of it. Overall glad you're feeling better.
It's been a long time since I've played BL2, but I believe for the 10th secret with Maya res, when you have to "revive" Lilith at the end of Frostburn Canyon, and you use Maya res on her, it also works, and says "Used Res on ." if I remember correctly
Yeap. I always thought if Maya's res can be used to other player, she probably can do to Lililth too during the Frostburn Canyon ambush, which is right. And other thing, you also can heal Handsome Jack on TPS when you first meet him with the Oz Kit's res, though it's only possible by editing your inventory with save gibbed to have early access of Oz Kit.

Something i "found out" with the help of temmy, on krieg, the different "types" of bloodsplosions (slag/fire/explosive/etc) differ in how fast they happen. For example explosive takes way longer until the damage of the bloodsplosion happens than fire does. I always just took this for granted and well known, because when i was playing krieg, i specifically chose my explosive fastball because of the timing feeling very good - but when i told this to mopi and chat a while back, nobody seemed to have noticed, and he didnt believe me at first, so i thought id throw this in as a lesser known fact :D
It’s been so long since I’ve learn something new about this game much less multiple new things. I’ve played this game since nearly launch as well as having watched this channel for years. And Joltz always has something new to show and teach us. I’m more than impressed about his level of dedication and love for this game and wanting to share that with us his viewers. I’m also really glad to see that while not being 100% that you’re feeling better from the pain from your injury.

Great facts Joltz. Only 1 I was aware of the sniper mod boost for all guns. Something I've noticed is that if you hold your drift button when you're accelerating a vehicle from a standstill, you seem to initially speed up faster. Maybe that's just my imagination, but I can't not do it at this point.
Oh yeah, I also noticed that acceleration too, I would always do that when farming the racetrack sidequest on the Torgue DLC with the Afterburner relic
The Sawtooth Cauldron/Canyon bit isn't a Mistake. The Sawtooth Cauldron is the area heavily occupied by the Saw-teeth, while the rest of the canyon is just the surrounding area that we cant get to. The rest of the Canyon remains, it's just not in the game.
I was farming a blockhead with Maya the other day and this glitch kept happening and wasn't sure why the game kept crashing. Figured it was an issue with my game so I stopped farm it. So good to know! Here's something you may not know which could be very useful, in opportunity if you don't kill the jack double, there's a platform where three war loaders will spawn infinitely. Great xp farm!
Just started playing BL2 for the first time and your channel has been an absolute gold mine. Not surprised this game is still seeing enjoyement from the community due to the sheer size of content. Keep up the good stuff !
this is crazy, man. I've played bl2 for thousands of hours and watched (almost?) all of your playthroughs, and i didn't know even one of these things. Great video!
The launcher didn't flip 180 degrees tho, it did a full 360, in the slowed down footage you see the back of the launcher stick out from the chest first rotating clockwise, implying that the back of the launcher is on the right swinging towards the player but then you see the spike on the front of the launcher peek out also moving clockwise and then when the chest is fully opened you see the back of the launcher is still on the right where it was originally, therefore it must have done a full 360, which makes the reason why even more confusing, my guess is there's some piece in the chest that rotates 360 degrees for visuals when opening and the launcher is just accidentally getting stuck on that piece
rocket launchers normally only occupy slots in the weapons chests specifically made to not do the normal opening spin animation. since normal guns are small enough to not clip out of the chests the spin adds a bit more flair to them, but since this chest forces rocketlaunchers on every possible slot it causes that to happen.
if you spam jump (= keep jumping as soon as you land) you'll end up confusing the pathfinding system of some enemy ai's like buzzards, goliaths (and maybe stalkers iirc). this causes them to keep moving towards the point where the player last stayed on the ground for an extended time, and keep moving in that direction as long as you keep spam jumping. this usually causes the goliaths to get stuck running at a wall or the buzzards to just fly off the map. i'm assuming this is caused by the players only leaving pathfinding markers for these enemies every second or so while grounded, which means that this timer can be interrupted by jumping. this trick can be used to avoid these enemies when necessary. even though the ones i mentioned are the main ones with the most noticeable effects, other enemy types are affected, too. iirc spam jumping causes ranged enemies to prefer to stand still (= making them easy to headshot), melee enemies to effectively do nothing while standing still or resort to their ranged attacks, and probably more. idk if this is well known or not but haven't seen this mentioned on any "did you know"-lists so here you go.
Talking of crit spots, the members of the Abbey of the Everyman in Dishonored are immune to headshots from the front, due to their iron masks, but, if you are willing to engage in truly dishonorable deeds, you can still oneshot them from the front. All you have to do is aim under the waistline. I always feel dirty doing it.
For the quest In Memoriam, I feel like one of the Echo's spawn inside a ruined vehicle near the fuel pump. Not sure though. I believe Sawtooth Cauldron is inside of a larger area called Sawtooth canyon; it can be hard to understand the scale of the map with the loading zones layout. Interesting stuff.
little glitch (?) in case u didnt knew if you get in a stair, look back and hold up untill you get to the top, your character will kinda glitch, then he will enter and leave the stairs non-stop untill you release the foward button or look straight again

For no-beard, I'm not a good enough marksman but it'd be interesting to see someone downpatch and do the bore stack glitch and see if a direct blow from chin to brain (suicide/psycho in bl promo art way) would actually stack the damage. I feel like since his name is no beard and they went far enough to put a 2nd hit box on it I wonder if the idea was having people (halo/mw2/moxxis panties style) crouching underneath him to check out his non-beardedness
I like to think Sawtooth Cauldron is called "Canyon" on the map because that's its actual geographical name, while "Cauldron" may be a coloquialism given by the relatively explosive folks that live there

You probably already know this about tps, but using a melee attack while reloading will cancel the reload for the character, but not the reload animation for the gun itself

I'm pretty sure the Creeper crash bug happened to me some time ago, but I never put two and two together. I remember it being pretty jarring because BL2 *never* crashes on me and I got worried heh

What initially drew me to Joltz's channel was the first "things you didn't know" video for BL2, and I was impressed enough at genuinely not knowing most of them that I subbed right then and went on to go check out the rest of his videos. Good to see the trend continues- I only knew one of these!
