*I'm working on content for my own channel* (I'm stocking up videos so I can lauch them simultaneously with a podcast) Excited for 2022, thanks for the awesome tips
What are your thoughts on Maya in this space now? Blender is increasingly becoming the defacto go to. I would've switched awhile ago if the Blender Navigation didn't hurt me so much :)
Blender is becoming more popular among the signifcantly more casual, non-industry individuals and indie spaces because of its accessibility; these are areas autodesk doesnt care much about, which is why their products are priced the way they are. If blender ever became competition for autodesk in regards to autodesk's target audience then we'll quickly see a change with either blender or autodesk's marketing and/or pricing structure. Like i wouldnt be surprised if autodesk saw blender as a threat then decided to buy blender like it has a number of other companies that encroached on it's territory.
Are these paths by any chance getting more difficult as an artist, because of the spreading popularity of AI, that will be soon or already able to create 3d products? The new incoming Adobe video editing program will apparently be capable of adding AI created 3D animation, thats why Im concerned.
Damm this was such a good, informative video, I didn’t know that there were so many things you could work on! Giving me ideas to start something. :) Thank you!
Good information. I've been fumbling around with Blender for a little while. I'm just trying to figure out the best direction that my old pea brain can handle. Maybe Blender videos for old farts is the place to start. Bite size pieces with some repetition.
Why is Trip from Enslaved: Odyssey to the West is in the thumbnail? Last time I checked, there are no 3D models of Trip in existence. Unless you have a modeler yourself, which I would humbly ask for their contact page.
Wow ! This is really great . I love 3d animation and love to learn that . I am in Zambia how can I be helped. I can't wait to see myself reach that level
it just tears my eyes man the way you are trying to help us , i watch this channel for a long time and i got a lot of positive energy alot of knowledge, and also some cool wise advices , and seriously i am searching for ways to improve my life with some extra dollars and this video just came at the right time , thanks i really loved it .. i cant but say thanks i really appreciate your efforts so much wish you all best luck in the world
yeah man, I get tears in my eyes too when I watch his Videos about how to get followers on insta. "Just get out and socialize" . Man, just do 3D Stuff maaan 😂
🤣🤣 it's a problem for 3d nerds we love to stick in our dark rooms and stay away of ppl , but getting out of comfort zone is essential to upgrade i guess
This is an interesting, eye-opening video. After 25 years of working as a web developer I was recently shown the door and... I felt it was about time to tackle something different, so I'm now learning 3d and Blender full time. My greatest love keeps being traditional illustration and comics, however I see 3D as a more in demand, salable skill to have, and a way to keep reconnecting with my artistic roots. And the irruption of the metaverse concept just can mean more demand for custom virtual products and people willing to pay for them. There's a whole universe I'm just becoming aware of. This may well be my biggest career drift before retiring, haha, so I want to do it right. Thanks again.
10 "Creative" Ways to Make Money with Blender: 1) Sell your art (as Thumbnails) 0:33 2) Become a popular enough RU-vidr. 2:16 3) Sell your art (as Mock-ups) 4:01 4) Sell your art (as 3D Stockphotos) 5:27 5) Sell your art (as 360 Music Video) 6:19 6) Sell your art (as VJ Packs) 7:12 7) Sell your art (as Video Presentation Packs) 7:56 8) Sell your art (as Personalized E-Cards) 8:47 9) Sell your art (as Small CGI Commisions) 10:10 10) Sell your art (as VR Marriage Proposal environments) 11:16
I bet we could come up with 10 more realms to sell your art in, here in the comments. 1.) VTuber Models & Rigs 2.) Interesting 3d prints & replacement parts 3.) Maps for shopping areas, towns, and campuses 4.) Walkthroughs for apartment complexes and airbnbs 5.) Educational models (or videos) for schools that's what I got so far...
@@almas4663 Bro I don't do thumbnails, I do motion graphics and 2D animations, I literally e-mail content creators I like and you'd be surprised to see how many are willing to reply and consider your offer.
@@GremoryPTN thats kinda going the opposite direction you want to lol. Of course more people wil pay if the price is lower. Especially with NSFW commissions, where both clients and artists know the price should be higher because of the nature of NSFW content. And artists and especially hobbiests selling their skills for cheap devalues themselves as well as the entire profession, because it creates and reinforces in non-artist's minds what pricing should look like when they approach other artists. New freelancers already have a hard enough time trying to gauge how commissions should be priced and how they should price themselves based off their skill and pacing. And people frequently try to get over on artists already.
I have spent a lot of time watching tutorials for blender and after a while there was still something missing...and this content that you make is exactly what I and many others needed. Thanks a lot!
This is honestly perfect for someone who can't do traditional work bc of health issues. I have always been more interested in 3D art over 2D art. I customize dolls and make sculptures from scratch but they take a lot of time and finding someone who would buy them from me is difficult. So dipping into the digital 3D world is incredible. I started learning Blender in school way back and recently was introduced back into it. I'm currently learning how to import existing 3D models from Games and rig them for unique pictures and scenes. I would love to go further into it and learn the process of making an entire Character from scratch. It is so fun to learn all these things and grow familiar with them, I would love to be able to make money with this in say a year or two. This is like a tiny hope that I may be able to support myself and not rely on others bc of my sickness. I am not expecting much bc I'm still a pessimist at heart. But sitting at home for about 6 years now and doing nothing is extremely frustrating. I'm a very creative person and I love art, It would mean the world if I could support myself doing something i'm passionate about.
Your comment is golden and perfectly encapsulates why I also love Blender. Just the creative freedom and finally mastering stuff after some time. The sheer potential of it is beyond incredible 💜
Breakdown: 1. Make Smoothies (duh) 2. Sell For parts 3. Start a RU-vid channel 9Blending things in slow motion) 4. Puree ingredients for resturaunts 5. There's really not much else you can do than make smoothies 6. Make soup (if the Blender is powerful enough) 7. Sell the Blender 8. Make baby food 9. Start a paper shredding company 10. Make more smoothies
Already on the wedding one, lol ;) My friend is a RL wedding dress desginer. Been in a collab for some years on a way to bring her brides their dresses in VR and I was thinking of a way to bring an environment, but I like the proposal idea too. Could make some BEAUTIFUL things that way that people just love.
You can also create 3d printable models and environmental objects for wargamers and tabletop roleplayers, either by commission, subscriptions, or sell them in an online shop.
I only tried 1 point of this list so far, the RU-vid channel. But i don't have enough experience to make tutorials ... 😂 Thanks for the advice and creativity! 😀
Make tutorials! The only way you're going to get better is if you start practicing now. Art and youtube creation are two different skills, so i'd recommend starting early :) if you wait until you're a better artist you'll waste a ton of time learning how to make tutorials.
It's so profitable, he's not doing it.,,, Rather he hopes you will make him money bye watching his video on how to make money. The money isn't in doing the job, rather the money is in telling people about how they could make money 🤑💰
I've just purchased a new pc around 2 months ago because I wanted to start gaming but had a terrible laptop. Shortly after I started gaming, I found blender just from a youtube video and thought it looked pretty cool. I thought that no one could ever make money using something free and so easy to use, but now I see that I am very wrong. I'm only 14 and blender has changed my mindset on life so much, and I think starting it was the best decision I've ever made. If you're watching this and you are wondering if it is worth the time commitment or not, here is a simple answer: Yes! Just start! You'll get frustrated but it's so worth it!
Hey it's me reality check, there are only two ways to make living money with blender. First - make videos about making money with blender... Second - be actually good and proficient with blender and let your portfolio speak for yourself.
These are some really good ideas and you make it sound so easy to get some money. It does get me thinking (and dreaming of what could be) that's for sure! Great video as always!
I made the world's first 3D printed prosthetic shark fins with blender. The amount of money they are paying vs the amount of work I am doing is quite disproportionate.
Start your RU-vid channel and work for FREE so RU-vid makes money with your content until you get 4000 hours of viewing and 1000 subscribers, that you will need to dig and find social media. Then you will start monetizing. RU-vid is not a real job. I already tried... twice. Channels scheduled to be monetized in 20 years.
as a begginer i dont think i can make tutorial and as a student its difficult to manage both school and blender... do u think that youtube channel will work for me ??
WHOOP! Here I am just chilling watching along and I see my tutorial! :D! Thank you so much for featuring it! Thank you for the video, it was very insightful!
I am happy you did this video and it have given me ideas on what you talking about for a side hustle. What I like is idea number 1 and 4, 3D Stock Custom photos looks interesting and it can be 3D model renders of any product like a HD Tv or latest game console. Also on 3D thumbnail looks good and you just have to created using a combination of any image manipulation and Blender programs. Pose characters in certain ways. The only question it’s to how to sell or where to sell ?
Outstanding video! Appreciate all that you share out here! I've been on the fence about Blender and Unreal Engine but now I'm seriously going to look at hopping feet first into it.
the thing about “rappers” asking for work a lot of them don’t wanna pay😂 especially on instagram. There are definitely ones that do but a lot of ppl try to take advantage fr.
Hey thanks for the informational video. I was a patreon to Ducky and had a problem with blender not loading colors from the paid for projects. Asking Ducky for help I mentioned I think the problem was with the version of DirectX not being compatible with the GPU I was using which was one version lower than what was needed to run with blenders new render features and Ducky said "I don't know what DirectX is" Anybody who has ever installed a 3d software and/or a graphic card researches what needs to be installed with it or it may not work at all. People that have little knowledge about 3d software such as blender will come across this information when first setting things up wanting to use their computers GPU to render and those that are knowledgeable for years like Ducky WILL KNOW 100% what DirectX is but Ducky had no idea what it was???? That means he does not setup his own computer software or he reads from a script and the video is prerecorded by somebody that doesn't like to be on camera which is possible for anybody to do if we do not see the youtuber in control we only see them talk about the video. Not saying he is doing that but as a patreon member to Ducky or anybody that is selling you their knowledge and offering help you expect some help and if they don't know the basics they could at least research and help you instead of not helping and saying they have no idea how Blender rendering works with graphic cards. I like Ducky and the content he provides but when you admire somebody for his knowledge and content to hear from himself that he doesn't know anything about the software that is needed to run his GPU to use blender it is a big surprise
Public Service Announcement. New users please stay away from ANY AMD GPUs for content creation and specially blender. Besides the performance being terrible compared to NVIDIA, AMD does not even support features such as raytracing and will drop support for hardware whenever it feels like. Buy NVIDIA , besides their hardware being way faster, their software support is WAY better.
Misss! Please stop speaking from your intellect esp to the Body of Christ. This is double minded speech and ultimately false. This isn’t spiritual sound nor Biblically accurate. The spirit transforms us not humanity- there’s a difference between our flesh and our body. We are ALL born into sin! Wrapped in flesh. Yet still Our bodies should be vessels for God by the power of His Holy Spirit. (Romans 12:1-2) It sounds like new agism and natural medicine are idols for you and I rebuke them in the name of Jesus ❤
Where do I find jobs? I live in NZ and it's very hard to find anything here and it's harder to find jobs that accept WFH And with not much work experience it seems impossible
Such a good a video! Might I ask if you could possibly do a tutorial series starting from the user interface to knowing what each tools do and how to use them, to the bare minimum basics and so on but in short 10+ minutes. I know it might be a lot to ask, but most tutorials online are done in long 1 or 2 hour videos which honestly is kinda hard to get into, sometimes you just wanna know a certain thing but if you have to go through a whole 2 hour video to find that info...it might deter some people. Also some of your tutorials require people to know and understand what you're actually talking about.
The best fast bare-bones tutorials for specific features of Blender is on the official Blender youtube channel, the Blender Fundamentals series of videos. 3-5 minutes per feature, such as basic navigation, adding & deleting objects, material basics, rigging basics, etc. There are some longer videos there, where they cover all the basics of a certain feature (like sculpting or eevee lighting), but those are still quite fast, e.g. 25 minutes for sculpting.
I just came from Benji 3D's video 'This is How You ACTUALLY Make Money with Blender (Full Guide)' doing the whole promising high profit if I pay for his 200$ course market scam, and i just found it so ridiculous that people in the industry are not wanting to create more competition, by actually sharing real helpful guides (like this video
Best way to make money with blender, to me seems to be, teaching people how to use it - because it's a never ending story and somehow mission impossible.
