It's not a good idea to copy everything from MGS5 and use in a MGS3 remake. Unless you never really thought in the matter of a gameplay mechanics conversion, and is hoping in pure blind faith that the game would not get broken by unintended "alien" mechanics, like Twin Snakes was broken by MGS2's mechanics. It's absolutely necessary to leave some modern mechanics out of the game on purpose, even if they are better than the original MGS3 versions. Because the original maps and game design isn't prepare to accept all MGS5 mechanics properly.
@@carlosaugusto9821 I do doubt they will copy everything off of MGS5, but I feel like either the core gameplay or core feel, be it shooting or stealthing for example, will resemble MGS5
@@carlosaugusto9821 So Delta is going to be a horrible cash grab not worth buying like everything Konami makes? Go buy the HD Collection if you want to play Snake Eater. If the game’s being remade I want it remade, not given a fresh coat of paint and left with dated, clunky 23 year old gameplay mechanics.
It's probably going to be the same but with a more HD feel kind of like Big Boss's "monologue" at the end of MGS4. It's certainly going to be epic experiencing that cutscene again in full HD.
Seems to be the exactly same game and I'm beyond satisfied with that, as someone who grew up with mgs3 i'm glad we getting an upgraded version of it, no need to fix what ain't broken
@@Yeshua_is-Cool maybe they can do that with a Peace Walker Remake? That one is basically like TPP, is the only MGS that can go the MGSV route, i can't see it working on any other tittle
@@Yeshua_is-Cool Maybe they'll still do that if only to expand the gameworld and offer more gameplay innovation for fans who've replayed the original a million times to the point of knowing everything to be surprised with a mere graphical upgrade from the original PS2 game.
I don't find a good idea to leave everything the same in the maps. Especially because the gameplay is being changed. Im always reminded of the disaster of Twin Snakes's gameplay. Secondly, one thing was the MGS standards, and even general game standards, around the mid 00s... MGS3 is among the best games of the period. But those standards changed considerably. MGS3 feels lacking in content compared to the sequels and compared to many other excellent games for the ps3-5. I think the remake should add more spaces that you can explore in buildings, more hidden items, more trees to climb and other hiding places in the jungle, etc... And I don't know yet about more weapons and camo because the original has plenty already.
For the franchise i expect nothing _new_ out of respect for Kojima's legacy after his departure from Konami. For this remaster i expect a LOT of positive reviews which will convince Konami to continue the remaster bandwagon so that hopefully they'll remake the original Metal Gear 1 and 2 for the MSX as many wished they did a long time ago.
@@Slapnuts9627Unless they change the story and considering that fans didn’t enjoy the mgsv story (I personably think everything about mgsv is great and the story is very great) or most fans critiquing that mgs4 is very long in cutscene and portable ops has been mostly ignored lore wise then we will might be seeing changes in the overall world of metal gear but that would be highly unlikely since remaking a game is easy since the design and overall story is already set out so remaking a game would be easy task for Konami but anyways the only changes I can see is that Konami could change mgs3 story a bit and give skull face an Easter egg or his involvement around the story.
@@cantsuggestareasonablename9101 Most of the people who hate MGSV's story are guys who saw the game was popular in 2015, saw the videos saying it was unfinished, meat rode Kojima like he's a God and only played once before putting it down.
True, I was kinda surprised when playing MGS5 and seeing shit like "KJM-69420", instead of an overly detailed explanation of an actual gun, fully voice acted by a character
Really can’t wait for this to come out, when this came out my senior year of high school in November 2004, I skipped school and drove to GameStop to purchase this, me and my little brother had the house to ourselves, mom was out of town for like 4 days and I stayed up like 16 hours playing this 😅that first day, definitely will be using PTO for work when this comes out 💯
I was born 2004😭 yet when I recently started my metal gear solid 3 playthrough I got that feeling of nostalgia like I was a child again (I'm young but Ive worked full time since i was old enough to do so I feel like a slave already lol). Just can't get used to the controls so I'm excited to enjoy the remake
I know this is silly, but I'm so happy to see the return of spinning item boxes in Delta. I had mixed feelings during my first playthrough of MGS4 15 years ago, when all of the items were almost impossible to see without the Solid Eye equipped. As long as we don't get any Matrix-inspired cutscenes, this remake is gonna be incredible.
@@GreenSabre187 I meant I don’t want a repeat of TTS, when Snake was just as over-the-top as the rogues gallery of villains he faced, lol. Part of why so many people can connect with Snake, is because he’s historically been the “straight man” character, and I think MGS storytelling is at its finest when he stays in that role. I’m not so arrogant to say that MGS has always been peak realism, but part of why TTS didn’t work (at least for me), is because you can’t do any of those actions in-game. It creates a sense of ludonarrative dissonance that feels really out of place in the franchise as a whole.
@@thomasthedank6385 The “straight man”, in this context, is the “non-zany” character. The foil to the surrounding craziness. It’s a term mostly used in duo comedies where one character is very animated and full of energy, but the other is very reserved and level. Think David Spade’s character in Tommy Boy. He’s the exact opposite of Chris Farley’s wild, eccentric character. It has nothing to do with sexuality.
Doubt they'll do a demo, but if yes: I think they should pull off a Ground Zeroes and make a new mission, maybe even starring the Boss as the protagonist
@@NiCoNiCoNiColathat wpuld be cool itd be likely durring world war 2 with the last mission being the one to take down the sarrow on the bridge she tosses us off of at the beginning of mgs3.
Thank you. Before watching this, I wasn't terribly impressed with the in-game visuals for this trailer in comparison to MGS 5. But the subtleties that you've pointed out, that I should have picked up on, 1:11. Leaves 2:18 scars 2:34 fabric 2:38 - how did i forget that reference? 2:51 boxes 3:23 more boxes 3:33 🐸 Keen eye 3:50 - raindrops hawkeye 4:09 - snakes bandana
Camouflage is going to be phenomenal in this game!, And what if I have a certain camo like the rusty one, but I’m still covered in mud?. So many new ways camo can work out!.
It would be pretty cool if Snake gets too hurt and for an example lets say if you get hit with an arrow you see blood start to drip around you until the wound is healed and wrapped or if your in the sun too much and you get sun burnt you gotta put lotion on to get back stamina. Hmmm it be cool if the environment has special affects like in the mountains if your too active youll slowly loose consciousness and start to see black dots in first person pov and if its too hot you gotta jump into the water to cool off to lower core temp
I wonder if such a mechanic could also apply to Eva during the final track on Zaozyorje? It would make sense given her injuries after the bike crash and the Survival Viewer while providing medical treatment.
Great analyse as always! But man, do you guys think that they shouldn't change the item's appearence? Like, i can get used to it, but an object simply floating around definetely doesn't fit with a realistic scenario 😅. They could change it to look like MGSV, where items are static and only glow to indicate that they are items.
@@Marko-ij4vyspeak for yourself, but I never had problems with immersion when playing MGS3 On an emulator, as an adult man with half assed keyboard and mouse controls and still had my fun. Also, the game doesn't really allow to just drop things on the ground because of all foliage and overall more green colour scheme
A nice detail is that snake holds his weapon’s down whilst not using them but with them still equipped unlike mgsv where he always had them holstered which is nice 👌
Im so excited for this game. I really wanted mgs5 gameplay with it and they did it and the graphics are like the best to date for any game🤯🤯🤯 its crazy to see this level of detail without kojima but im happy about it
It looks nice but does it play good I'm wondering if changing the controls to a MGSV style will It make the gameplay to easy in certain boss fights like Twin Snakes.
The amount of detail added in with the Unreal Engine while keeping the OG MGS3 SE style is nothing short of masterful. This is what Twin Snakes should have done for the OG MGS1 instead of just making it a Shadow Moses mod for MGS2 SOL. Frustrations with Twin Snakes aside I can't wait for Delta.
Meh TTS is "okay" for it's time even if the Matrix-esque action scenes were over the top and the gameplay wasn't as engaging as it could have been compared to MGS2: SOL. That said if Konami were to remake MGS1 yet again with this level of graphical fidelity i would be more than hyped to see the original MGS get a second chance for a more "appropriate" remake compared to TTS.
The cuts in Snake's face reminds me the system of Metal Gear Solid 4, where every cut Solid Snake suffers leaves it's mark visible throughout the course of the game.
Bro I love your accent, how you pronounce the "r" the "ct" are really cool. Been a fan of the channel for years but it's the first time I heard you talk
Would be cool to have an MGS game where we play as XOF doing missions that lead up to the destruction of Mother Base and a game where we play as Foxhound doing missions that leads up to the take over of Shadow Moses 👍
I hope the nightmare sequence (or something like it) and related codec calls make it into the remake.. was sad that it got cut from the hd versions of the game
Wonder if they're adding some cut content from the original? In any case, I hope this is a sign of Kojima and Konami working out their issues and getting back together to either finish MGSV or even finish up Raiden's story from Rising
The remake: will bring back the kerotan dolls. Me, who remembers the ease of unlocking stealth camouflage and infinity face paint on the original ps2 release by connecting metal gear acid on the psp: You've got to be kidding me.
I'm also hoping they'll add the "awake enemy" mechanic from MGS4 onwards so that we won't have to constantly tap the circle button in order to do a combo kick that awakes unconscious enemies.
You know what worries me a bit? It looks like they are keeping level design pretty much the same. Which, some might think, it's fine since the original design was very good. But the original wasn't made for MGS5-like gameplay, and I'm not sure if that will work as well as it did.
I think they will only adapt the mgs3 control for the new generation of players, a mix of the mgs5 controls (without the sprint button) and mgs3, for example: The fire button will no longer be on □ button, it will be on R2. The first person view will not be on the R1 button, it will be on the L2 button. The R1 and L1 buttons will be used to switch between weapons and gadgets, respectively in that order. the only thing I saw that they will adapt is the gameplay a little, like moving while crouched (which was already in mgs3 on nintendo 3ds). Just like Kojima Productions did with the games throughout the series, the controls in MGS1 are different from those in MGS4, they changed over time.
Most Game companies can not pull off what Capcom did with RE4 remake, konami is playing it safe, that's why they using the same voice recordings from the original mgs3 game.
I wish they would make all the MGS parts with such graphics and it would be something one-piece, it would be something to play with such graphics and with such an engine.
Not playing it without the original camera. The areas were built for that camera and it's one of the things that makes the game so unique. If the expectation wasn't for the player to play it with the original camera, they would not have placed the buildings from south to north and made almost the whole progression of the game from south to north. The orbital cam makes the game much too easy.
This is gonna be a 1:1 remake with nothing more than new visuals, some animations borrowed from MGSV like crouching into first person and peeking, overhauled UI, tighter controls, and next gen features like RT. (god I hope RT doesn't tank the performance on PS5 seeing how this is Unreal Engine 5).
Fuck I can't wait for this release, I hope they won't disappoint people like most game companies do with "in-engine" sneak-peeks. MGS3: Snake Eater, was such a big part of my childhood & teen years that I'm down to build a fucking PC to play it & enjoy it to the max again! Ahhh I'm so fucking hyped!!!
Looks like one of those typical “What if” videos where they take a popular game build out something in UE5 only, this will actually be released as a game.
Only gripe I have is with the updated graphics I'd hope they would update the AI, Snake is making hellacious noise in that trailer that would have alerted every guard in MGSV.
@@javiervasquez625 Just concerned a tad bit about it I hope it has a couple of tweaks to it as I'm someone that can pretty much speedrun the game, not expert level or even good enough to stream but a majority of the areas I have 100% solved.
@@ChrisSantino It most definetly it's gonna have otherwise it wouldn't be a faithful _remaster_ to the original WITHOUT a difficulty setting and you can bet there'll be angry fans who'll demand a refund of their money once they'll find out.
@@javiervasquez625 I say might just cuz im cautious, not saying it wont happen. It would be weird not having it but you have to remember the last MGS game to have difficulty levels was MGS4.
Here I am watching this, hoping for any extremely sneaky details hidden by hideo, on a potential release to the whole "phantom pain conspiracy". This is the year, if we will finally see the outcome.
