Honestly none of these were that bad, most have already been covered in many other videos. I think the bit before when Mewtwo was still young was a bit worse, and the fact that a mind controlled celebi was turned into a 3D forest monster was kinda disturbing even more so. At least for me that freaked me out as a kid. Death happens a lot in Pokemon so growing up I kinda just thought it added to the story/development of the show/movies.

Wow I didn't realize how many of those actually do seem creepy. The ghost of the girl who turns out to be a English-speaking Ghastly. The whole Sabrina arc, haunter, Mewtwo blowing up an island killing at least 10 people.

I remember being scared of Sabrina from the anime, but also intrigued. Really wanted to see how she would be defeated since she seemed so OP. As for disturbing though, I felt one of the craziest episodes was "The KangasKhan Kid." Seriously I wanted to kill the father during the entire episode. Who the Heck does stuff like like that? The mother wasn't too much better as she's apparently insane enough to still be with that man.

Pretty much always, when I go back to something from my childhood, I see things, that flew right under my radar, when I was a kid. Kinda sad, that pretty much everything in modern media is so overprotective about the younger ones. I don't want to say that you can add gore and darkness everywhere because 'they won't get it anyway' but they throw away such a large chunk of possibilities and lore, only because of helicopterparents.

Hmm, despite number 1 being crazy weird because people actually die, I think the bit right before that in the uncut version is even more weird. The head scientist lost his daughter and tried desperately to make a clone of her. He was so obsessed with bringing her back, his wife LEAVES him. Afterwords, Giovanni made a deal with the scientist - for him to create the most powerful Pokemon in the world using cloning technology, and in return Giovanni would grant him all the resources he could ever ask for to clone his daughter. Then we see a clone of his daughter interact with mewtwo through esp. They become friends, but unfortunately the clone dies. This causes Mewtwo to become filled with sorrow. The scientists inject Mewtwo with stuff that both calms him and wipes his memory. Divorce, death of a little (clone) girl, I think you should have included that in the number 1 spot just because that part is also incredibly mindblowing. Not to mention, there were 3 other pokemon clones who also died.

I absolutely loved Sabrina's story as a kid because it was creepy and she's still one of my fav gym leaders. Same for Mewtwo, I loved him because of the movie and I got everything they did (Mewtwo was right, they deserved it)... I'm still into that kind of stories but I never realized that it was Pokémon who made me a fan of mysterious and creepy stuff XD

One thing that I didn't notice as a kid was the shape of Combusken

When it comes to Mewtwo, there's a lot of effed up things to unpack. Of course there's the previously addressed issue with the scientists, but on top of that there's attempted genocide of not only the human race, but also of pokemon he's deemed unworthy. And then there's the fact that HE KIDNAPPED AND BRAINWASHED NURSE JOY! (That bit was pure nightmare fuel for me as a kid.) Also there's a line that I think even a lot of older fans overlook, that's been bugging me since I was 12. "Humans, you have served your purpose, I am sparring your lives for the moment, *opens the doors for Joy and the trainers to escape, without any actual means of transportation* but you cannot escape your fate. Destiny is at hand." Wtf was he going to personally kill them if they had stayed on the island? Or have them be mauled by the clones? Or work them to death? Spell of the Unown and Pokemon heroes also have some pretty unsettling moments.

I love the "the ghost of Maidens Peak" episode! I even made an amv for it. The fact that the Gastly is that powerful can be explained by that it hypnotises all of them. That Brock and James fell for it was caused by hypnosis too. I think that it can talk is because it "talks" in their heads. My theory so far. (I'm sorry for the spelling mistakes I probably made)

Please I knew all this stuff. And Hypno is FAR from the only Pokemon said to kidnap children. There's Drifloon who will carry children away who grab it's string like arms, Lampent wait outside hospitals waiting for people to die so it can fuel it's fire with their spirits, Haunter kills people who walk by it, Phantump is possessed by dead children, and let's not forget the way some pokemon eat other pokemon. Like you think Gorebyss is all pink and pretty? Yeah well it inserts it's nozzle into it's pray mosquito style and liquefies the insides of it's pray then sucks it up like a milkshake.

Mewtwo isn't the strongest not only is mew the strongest Pokemon, but not including Pokemon that are always a dark type there is at least 2 different Pokemon that are literally immune to Mewtwo, in fact one of those Pokemon is man made.
