PayPal: paypal.me/frag... EDITED by @KillaFrags Subscribe to him! I swear on your nan's life if I find out you've bought any of these I'm calling the cops.
Luis Mendozza i mean dude, i just watched this video he did about clones -- fragrance houses ripping off other houses, disgruntled perfumers, corporate intrigue... i was mesmerized. it was legit one of the most interesting things i've ever seen in my life.
I appreciate the fact you're telling us what not to buy. Everyone just hypes fragrances on RU-vid, not many actually are willing to criticize frags. Cheers
Actually, Fahrenheit was reformulated again in 2018 and it’s the best version since appx 2005. The petrol is back and they removed the vanilla that was in the crap formulations. It’s not as potent or as good as vintage but I absolutely recommend the newest formulation of FAHRENHEIT and most seem to agree on the frag groups.
Actually, terrible post reformulations 》》 notice the plural term. My bottle from 6 months ago ( batch number on the bottom of bottle reads 8L01 ) horrible in longevity and sillage.
Yeah, I had it back in 2007 and bought another bottle this year. I’m 38 now and feel like my sense of smell weakened but still like the current version
Fahrenheit is my "scent for life". Sure it's not quite what it once was, but overspraying brings it back. I can still smell it 10h later if I'm liberal. I'm not sure what I'll do if they discontinued it. Sure, I'd be alive, but for what purpose?
Looks like he has Fahrenheit Parfum and not EdT. Considering that FA forbade us to buy Viking Cologne based more on its extraordinary cost rather than the scent itself, I don't think Fahrenheit EdT would provoke his ire.
@@KruBear Le Male Le Parfum is the most overhyped scent of the past. Yesterday I got my first bottle, which was a total disappointment. might be the lack of maturation since it was produced 1 month and 20 days ago. I am hoping it gets better with maceration. 10 sprays are needed to smell something, and after 4 to 5 hours it's not even a skin scent anymore.
YES. Vintage George has returned. With temerity. Sincerity, polarity and general hilarity. 😄 Appreciate the heads up on AH. Any thoughts on Interlude 53? 53% soot? 🏚
I've been in this fragrance "game" for just a few years. I just discovered your videos a few weeks ago. You are quickly becoming my go to! Love the content my man!!!
Pulled no punches. Loved the honesty. I don't agree with everything. I have a great 2016 bottle of Allure Homme, have a recent bottle of Fahrenheit that is decent though lacks some depth and I love my bottle of African Leather and have enjoyed a few others from the Memo line. Still to each their own. Keep up the good work!
I love the list especially the shot at Creed, Clive Christian and JPG le male flankers. Thank you for CDNIM sillage. Youre the first to review that flanker and the review you made really had some weight to it as compared to other reviewers who just seem to follow your lead but didnt really offer any new insight. Keep it up George!
Thé only honest reviewer I love you bro because of this video you have become my fav reviewer . Lot of respect for your honesty and courage Bcs most of the others they only make advertisement and lie abt many frag with the overhype
"...and save your emotional energy" - soo true! Even if I have some pricey vintage stuff (like tin can Rive Gauche) I tend not to use it because of the price
Current batch Fahrenheit is the closest yet to vintage. It’s good, just wears a bit light. Still plenty of vintage bottles floating around, though; I’d say they’re worth it.
Hope you’re right I just bought a new Fahrenheit batch code 1C01 (Production March 2021) Do perfumes get stronger after a few years? btw I’m new to the fragrance world so have no clue how it works
@@astagg5840 Should be ok. I find that perfumes *can* (ymmv) get stronger once you start using them. Fahrenheit isn’t going to be as strong as it was back pre-2012 or so. I find the scent profile of the current batch to be excellent, though. If you aren’t happy with it, let it sit for a couple of months and then go back to it. Keep in mind that our minds (and noses) are tricky: you think the scent is gone, and then a few hours later someone notices it on you, or you start getting some nice wafts from it.
I pooed myself when I see Oud Wood in the thumbnail😅 but I totally agree I’ve only ever brought it on AllBeauty! Glad you had good words about Royal Oud that’s one of my favs too aha
Appreciate your honesty and consistency Georges. Le Male used to be a beautiful fragrances when it came out (not the garbage sold today). I sampled some Memo leather frags, I don't understand the hype and would never moved in that direction. Lastly, I picked Cédrat Boisé (very good and was expecting more perf meanwhile) and Halfeti (really love it).
Great vid. Agree with the le male line. I've been on the parfum Le male train a long time. You did contradict yourself a little but it's not a big deal. Fleur de male is one if those discontinued fragrances. Have a great day
Fantastic video George! Sometimes I'm grateful I joined the fragrance community later in life so I don't have those attachments to so many discontinued scents.
Loved the video. I have no money for most of the frags here, but i feel much better about not buying them now. Also, i am new to this frag thing, but it seems to me that "reformulating" is a code for basically "add water" right? As for discontinued fragrances, they will never stop making drakkar noir ("reformulated"?) So i'm good 😜
sometimes reformulating is due to those FRA recommendations or whatever (i.e. they discover something causes cancer like oakmoss, or they see that something in high enough concentrations can cause people to have asthma attacks or something, so they lower it to "Safe" levels). sometimes reformulating means that the sources of some ingredients change and that changes the smell. but yea, i think most times it is a money thing and they just "water it down" (by adding a higher proportion of perfumers alcohol than fragrant oils)
@@DemonsCrest1 some reformuations also happens so that they can sell a flanker like bleu de chanel edp, versace eros edp, etc..they purposefully weaken frags & not tell consumers about it but still sell it at the same price..reformulation can be accepted if they come with a leaser price tag compared to the og formulation..
I look for vintage perfumes, there are still some left. Scents that I would never look at before, for example Ciara by Revlon or Ulric de Varens Varensia. But they are cheap, powerful and long lasting. How long they will be on the market I don't know, so I catch the opportunity. Once they're gone, they'll cost a lot. I regret not buying Masumi before it vanished, maybe it'll come back one day, reformulated and very expensive, it wouldn't surprise me.
Too bad I bought Fahrenheit 3 months ago lol. With that said, I enjoy it a lot, the Le Parfum is also gorgeous and I will definitely buy it in the future.
When I was in Coron I once slept at one house in the Barrio, at 6pm they burned this type of amber from a tree, they said to get rid of mosquitos and other bugs. The smoke it produce is dark gray and does stain but the fragrance it produce is definitely fit for a king, the scent is very relaxing and really good, I remember having a good night sleep. They gave me a sample of it but unfortunately it was lost. It is not agarwood I know that one, agarwood has a very sharp smell when burned.
