He has said that he is not chasing 700 and is definitely retiring at the end of the season. If he is a man of his word, then this is it regardless of the number of home runs he has. And you can bet that the coming pitchers will keep the ball away from him and his walk numbers will increase. The reality is that this season against righties he's batting a out .180, but against lefties he's batting about .344. Though emotions are running high, the numbers don't lie.
