Watch Dogs had so much promise as a franchise, Never underestimate Ubisoft's ability to screw things up

Sleeping dogs is an absolutely amazing game. The combat is so slick and smooth. Epic fun. Sad that we'll likely never see a sequel or even a remake/remaster.

Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood has one of the best single player campaign in the FPS genre. Yes, it starts really slow, but after 3 out of 15 episodes it gets waaay better. Also it's one of the not so many great western themed games and it was released before RDR was a thing

People don't talk enough how realistic and good the character movement in watch dogs 2 is.

I honestly love the first watch dogs. How gritty the crime was, rainy chicago, an amazing soundtrack, the hacking, escaping the cops by messing with streetlights, bridges and speedbumps. The whole thing felt awesome to me.

They really need to bring Stuntman, Road Rash, and Burnout back!!! Some of the most fun Ive ever had playing games. Destruction Derby 64 would be amazing to bring back on Next Gen as well 🔥🔥

The first Stuntman was one of my favorite games growing up. Very frustrating to learn the levels but I always enjoyed the challenge on learning all of the levels and driving mechanics to get a good score. The game was ahead of its time a bit in my opinion especially with the realistic driving physics which made it even more enjoyable to folks like me. There really wasn't too many other games during that period that encompassed the physics the game had.

Titanfall 2 was the one available on multiple platforms as well. One of my most memorable gaming experiences.

i just really hope the Watch Dogs franchise isnt dead, i love WD2 so much. ill always remember getting sleeping dogs by accident (i was young and got it confused w the first watch dogs lol) but i loved it so much

I really liked Titanfall 1. I know it was missing a lot of things, but it had the things I wanted on a game and I loved playing it. I even reached Max Level on the Multiplayer.

Mercenaries was SO MUCH FUN. One of those games you pick up and did not at ALL expect them to be that good. VERY unique and definitely one of a kind. Needs a remaster.

Stuntman was amazning. Completing the level was a great feeling, but then seeing the playback of what you've done was a nice icing on the cake.

FEAR still has the best implementation of Bullet Time i've ever seen/felt in a game. The way it looks and feel is just off the charts.

I had sooo much fun on watch dogs with my friend. Especially since we both were born and raised in SF, it just made it that much special to us. So much fun

Watchdog 2 got the mood that makes it great! Fun and relaxing while exerting. My favorite is still the first one. The story resonated in me and i fully understood the emotions. Would love more games where you are a vigilante (not superhero but more john wick) but it seems like it isn't the mainstream thing.

Mercenaries was one of my all time favorite games at the time and still holds a top spot in my heart. I wish they would make a good new one.

F.E.A.R. did have a console release on XB360 and PS3, with expansion missions and multiplayer. And I think there was also a horde mode. Personally, I feel Trepang Studios deserves more credit for their spiritual successor Trepang2. Hardly anyone’s talking about it.

I liked the first Stuntman a lot at the time. And I love Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood, wish there were more games like it

I have to say I really enjoyed Mercenaries 2 the destruction mechanics was fun and dropping massive bunker busters on a small tank was just enjoyable.

Call of Juarez Bound in Blood was awesome. Easily one of the better first person games of it's time and it was a heaven for Western movies fans

I enjoyed Crackdown 1 and 2, I recently beat both games again. I really enjoyed the jumping around every where. The first one was interesting with the infiltration of the big skyscraper, lots of enemies in there lol

Fear 1 was amazing. I kinda liked fear 2 story not the gameplay, and fear 3 was fun to play, more action. Fear 1 did come out for console though

Titanfall 2 will always be one of if not the best FPS games ever made. I'll remember all the good times in its prime and the movement and streamlined gameplay. Yet to find another game that comes close.

I honestly liked Watchdogs 1 far more than its goofy sequels. Aiden is still the face of the franchise.

I LOVED mercenaries 2! Had so much fun with that game. It did things I haven’t seen a an open world game before or since. I loved the destructible environments.

My theory about sleeping dogs is the main character was going to be the guy from the first true crime but like you said they cancelled it and just made sleeping dogs which is probably one of my favorite games to date. P.s. merc 2 isn't that bad in my opinion I kinda like the whole gameplay loop of it. I played it a couple of months ago and it held up better than I expected.

Fear did have an Xbox 360 port for the first game, but ive ever only played it on PC, definitely a timeless classic, especially when they still make games like that today like Trepang2.

This video is really interesting to me. It's just Falcon talking about his disappointment with certain franchises, which is honestly a good video article. I wish more people would do this because it can really help those of us who want to know about games that might not be on our personal radar

I really enjoyed stunt man 1, because of how infuriating the difficulty was, passing a mission was such an achievement and the world creation thing was awesome

i enjoyed very much watch dogs 2, i tried playing watch dogs 1 after and i just couldnt, didnt even tried playing legion tho lol, sleeping dogs is a freaking masterpiece, too bad we didnt get a sequence but happy it did happened honestly

I loved mercenaries 2 but mercenaries playground of destruction was a comeplete masterpiece and i hate how its not on pc or never got a full remaster

As a kid I vividly remember seeing the original mercenaries in a magazine and waiting and thinking about it every day. I still have and love that game so much. I was heartbroken when I played the second one, it was okay and I liked the pirates but man it was not even close to the same level as the original. Still my favorite game of all time.

i grew up with many of these "bad" games, Fear 2, Call of Juarez: The Cartel, Mercenaries 2. I loved every single one of them.

Watch dogs 2 is really a peak for Ubisoft for improvement and immersion of the game IMO

As an 11 year old I had so much fun playing Perfect Dark Zero's multiplayer with my best friend. Using the shield and smashing it into each other was a vibe. I remember freaking out from the glass flying everywhere when the shield broke. Just looked unbelievable for a game.

Infamous second son. graphics, story, side quests and DLC. Still one of my favorite games to play through

The original Stuntman was one of my favorite PS2 games of all time. Yes it was hard but young me was able to complete it and enjoyed the stadium builder mechanic that it also had

I love you guys; but mercenaries 2, fear 2 and true crime streets of LA & NY were fantastic games man.

Titanfall 2 was amazing. I never played the first one and fully expected to only play the campaign to get up to speed on the mechanics for multiplayer but I was hooked, such a good story.

Stuntman: Ignition is a game that I REALLY wish they’d port to Steam or remaster. Some of the most fun I’ve ever had on PS2. Even got 5 stars on every mission when I was a kid.

I had Final Fight 3 on SNES. I actually enjoyed it. Got to where I could beat the game on Hard Mode without using a continue.

Don't forget that Perfect Dark Zero initially received a few perfect 10 scores from reviewers on release. Virtually all of them had to walk those scores back "upon further review," and give more middling marks. They _claimed_ to have given Zero such high original scores based solely on the graphical and tech upgrade as a launch title for next-gen hardware, and their updated review scores were "a more accurate representation of the actual quality" of the game compared to the growing list of next-gen competition, as opposed to comparing it to previous-gen titles.

Perfect Dark was an amazing game. It is crazy when you really see all the features they packed into that game.

Titanfall 2 had a good resurgence recently with a lot of populated servers that actually worked without the need for third party matchmaking or modded lobbies

i recently bought sleeping dogs after just forgetting abt it for years and let me tell you i dont regret spending those 3 dollars, its such a good game, the story is fun but has some weird cuts that might get you disoriented but the fight system and the overall charm of the game makes up for it. its short but not too short and its really fun i would recommend it to everyone looking for a break from the current games lmao. 10/10 for me

Stuntman Ignition was a great game, I played it so much as a kid. One of my favourites so many memories with it!

Fear 1 actually had a good Xbox 360 port that I still occasionally play with backwards compatibility and is basically the same as the PC game other than the fps

Perfect Dark Zero was a good game when you got into it. Once you got the mechanics it was fun and you could multiplayer with a lot of bots for practice and they had pretty good AI difficulty settings.

Never heard anyone call crackdown 2 a botched game before, that was my entry to the series and by far my favorite. I still remember playing it non stop. Lost track of how many times I beat it, absolute banger.

Mercenaries is so underrated that it actually annoys me that it there isn't Mercenaries 3

I loved Stuntman! It was uber tough like a soulsborne driving game but when you completed the level with minimal errors it felt great.

Man I'm so glad sleeping dogs was mentioned, I couldn't find it on the PS store on my ps5, and this vid reminded me of the game so I looked it up on google and it actually popped up and I was able to buy it, besides the wordle puzzles, its one of the most fun games I've ever played, so glad I was able to get it

Mercenaries 2 was my first open world game, so it has a special place in my heart.

I really liked Call of Juarez Bound in Blood. Good story with the bickering brothers, and something different with the western theme. Yes it was grey-brown, but so was every other game at that time. GTA4, Far Cry 2, and so on. Gunslinger was undoubtedly the best, but Bound in Blood was up there too.

I never thought I would like Titanfall because COD and their exo suit jumping stuff, but when i finally played it I had a blast. My friends and I had the best time and funniest moments in the game.

I really wish the Driver series would return. I had so much fun playing 1 and 2 as a kid, and San Francisco was a blast. I still play it to this day.

I only just played Titanfall 2. I bought it 3 years ago but when I tried to play I had some issues running it, so I kinda forgot about it instead of troubleshooting that. Was looking through my library for something to play and it actually ran fine this time. It was awesome, but I beat the campaign in like only 5 hours on normal difficulty. Was hoping the threequel would be coming soon but I don't see anything that they're even thinking about doing it yet.

I LOVED Bound in Blood's multiplayer. I wish I started earlier though. It got hard to find a match pretty quickly.

Perfect Dark Zero alongside Halo 2 and 3 were my favorite local multiplayer games to play with my uncles

Mercenaries is still cemented in my brain as one of the most fun I've ever had playing a video game. I treated it like GTA back in highschool. 😂 I still remember the Pyongyang tower and the dreary color palette. With that said, I was a kid back then so I don't remember anything about the story.

WD2 had so much personality man, I love that game so much.

Em, excuse me, the original True Crime: streets of LA may not have been the most polished of games but it was certainly a good game. I enjoyed the heck out of it a lot, even years after it came out and played through it way more times than I care to admit, even doing alternative missions after playthroughs to make sure I didn't miss a thing. Great game. How dare you good sir! Great video though, keep it coming. 👍 Edit: I will also fully admit that Sleeping Dogs is also just a better version of TC:SOLA, it's phenomenal and I played the remastered version a lot.

The Watch Dogs franchise stands out in Ubisoft’s catalog as it consistently brought fresh elements and innovation with each new installment, unlike their other successful franchises that often rely to the same tried-and-true formula. It’s absolutely pathetic that many casual gamers overlooked this game due to Ubisoft’s perceived lack of innovation and the false belief that it’s a GTA clone.

Watch dogs 2 is one of my favorite games of all time, just cruising through SFO seeing sights listening to music, climbing the bridge

Excuse me Mr. Falcon and @gameranx folks. F.E.A.R. wasn't a PC exclusive, it was a port of the game on Xbox 360 and another one for PS3, and those ports are similar to the PC released. Specially; the Xbox 360 both ports have extra content that the PC didn't include.

Never played watch dogs 2 but the trusty gameranx comment section has convinced me to download it.

Off topic, but I have been trying to find one particular NES game I used to play as a kid. If anyone knows the name, please let me know! Game is a 2D side scrolling platformer. Had 3 playable characters - one guy doing hand to hand combat, one guy in a green shirt with nun-chucks and one guy in a black suit and top hat with a revolver. The arena was like a hotel room where you could enter rooms via doors. You progress to the next level when you climb up to the next floor. If your character gets captured, you can choose from the remaining ones to continue playing. You can even find and free your previously captured character behind one of the doors on a level, making him available to be played again. The game ends if all three of the playable characters get captured. Please let me know if you remember the name!

You missed the biggest one for me. "BLOODY ROAR" still to this day, it's the most badass fighting concept. Each fighting character has a beast/animal form. No other fighting game has attempted this, and I have no clue why.

Legion was going to be amazing. If you take a look at the gameplay reveal trailer, the recruitment and leveling system were so good. Truly something unique. Add to it the whole roadmap and additional content they had planned, it's just so gd sad. And even half-assed, the game is still very solid and super fun, especially Online. It's still something special, but it feels rushed, unfinished, and overall neglected. Blame the pandemic, Ubi's numerous projects at the time, or their shenanigans, the game's trajectory is a depressing tragedy

I know a lot of people don't remember but the first crackdown was literally just like a bonus that came with Halo 3. It had the least work put into it out of all three crackdown games and was somehow 10 times better than all others 😂

Perfect dark zero was mid but underrated because its meant to be a couch co-op. The memories of just having with bros at home and online on the late nights were hilarious and easy to pick up. The katana battles we setup are part of the glue that keeps us homies today.

The first Watch Dogs has so much potential. It had a protagonist with an interesting case of PTSD, an interesting couple of antagonists, missions like the one with the human trafficking are honestly good, etc. But they blew it. Thank you Ubisoft.
