I remember playing Sarasate - Malaguena at a competion a year ago and this pizzicato part was my favourite part of the whole piece. I remember even the judge said he was impressed by my pizz.

I really loved these "10 levels of..." videos and was waiting for the pitzz video so that Brett can have his perfect pitzz boy moment, and boy did they both deliver! Eddy has improved and so has Brett. Knowing that they posted these even when they probably wanted to practice it more to get everything more clean, it's still impressive the amount of time they put behind the scenes for a video that last 4 minutes! Great work, yall are an inspiration

I adore them both, but Brett will always be my favorite LH pizz boy, and I wish he'd done the Sarasate-Zigeunerweisen pizz in this video. Some time ago, I watched that sweet SoHyun Ko perform that piece as her 2018 Heifetz Institute debut, and her performance of that LH pizz was a thing of beauty. (I think B&E reviewed her in their "When a 12 year old plays better than you" video)

Did anybody else notice how Editor-San chooses to play Air Varie No.5 at the end of the video which is ranked as level 2 in the video. (I think) the piece choice is based off of the name of the channel. Edit: I just found Editor-San does the same thing at the end of the 12 levels of Paganini where she plays cantabile at the end which is ranked two in difficulty in the video

(Incompetent music rant here by a music pleb. Ignore this for your sanity) Sorry for comparing our boys from one another but let me just express my fascination towards how easily Brett makes LH pizz appear? Brett's fingers does it so elegantly and if you're a mere music pleb like me, you wouldn't even notice he did the LH pizz until you hear it. Idk if it's because Eddy's fingers/hand is a bit larger than Brett's that's why you can easily see him do the LH pizz but I think it's also because I notice Eddy doesn't have a controlled amount of force when doing the LH Pizz. He kind of does it with too much force (imho which isn't of importance btw) and that the 'extra flair' that comes with doing so makes it not-that-smooth. I can imagine him cramping when he did Nel cor potato but then again, that may have only looked harder/more of a struggle to viewers but Eddy might not necessarily be struggling with his style. Brett, on the other hand, looks like he does if effortlessly. Just like how Hilary Hahn does Bach triplets so smoothly as if it isn't some kind of a rhythmic workout. Yes, you may see in Brett's older Pag 24s that his LH Pizz might look a bit strained but over the number of times he did it, sometimes you can see that he does it like it's a party trick. Also remember when they did a 3 fingered by a 4 in 4th/5th position (God Save the King was the piece, I guess), and Brett managed to nail that? Sure, his fingers may looked strained but so was Eddy's... but look at his 4 pizzing that 3 multiple times!! God! This man's LH pizz is truly one of the wonders of this earth 🤧 TLDR: Brett's LH pizz sexy af
