Eh. He made 8 strings famous but truth is Meshuggahs been using em for a couple decades now. In my honest opinion, the only thing he's done is make what's already been done appeal to a much broader crowd. Doesn't mean he's not talented, love the doom OST, just think calling him the progenitor of this wave is kind of a stretch. Definitely partially responsible, but that's it.
