Let's just take a minute to acknowledge the narrator for these Underworld uploads. Very clear with excellent pronunciation of foreign names and NONE of that godawful blandness of AI voice synthesisers. No unnecessary waffle like some channels where totally inane comments are voiced over quite obvious events. Great job.

Looks like a Bailey bridge, which is an inherently temporary structure easily built. If not too much of it was damaged, they could've found it downstream, taken it apart, and rebuilt it somewhere.

The corruption in India is only surpassed by the corruption in China. Search for "Tofu Dreg" construction to get an idea how bad it is. The same kind of thing happens in India where corners are cut and inferior materials are used to increase the profit of the construction company. Officials are bribed and inspectors are paid off to pass inspections.

I do know of one case where it wasn't the driver's fault. (Not trying to rain on your parade, I just know of an oddity) The state and local HWY Dept. kept resurfacing the road in the vicinity of a bridge overpass, till the surface was some 18" higher than it used to be. The authorities never thought to adjust the bridge height limit sign. When the truck driver tried to run under the bridge - Bam. He took them to court and won.

The truck driver in video #2 should be TOTALLY blamed for causing that bridge damage. The person (or persons) who loaded the goods onto the truck had no idea of his route. The driver's responsibility is to double-check his cargo before driving off. Had he done that, he would have realized that the goods were packed too high, and he might have a low bridge (or two) to encounter on his route.
