I’ve been doing the ab series since November. I do this video three times a week and today was the first time I made it all the way through, no resting. It was a great feeling. Thanks for this channel, it’s doing a lot of good.

Hey man , just finished this workout! Although I have a few questions. 1) You mentioned to keep the lower back grounded , which I consciously tried doing. However, my butt touches the floor and after that a sort of arch is forming , so I can't completely get my lower back to be grounded. 2) While performing ab exercises like crunches or it's variation, I have observed that my neck is getting involved and sometimes after the workout my neck muscles get sore too. Thanks👍🏼

Thanks for the questions. 1. Lower back. You want to keep the lower part of your back (between your butt and lower back) pressed into the mat. Think of it like pressing your belly button through your back and into the floor. 2. If your neck is getting involved that means you are leading with your neck instead of your abs. Move your hands behind your head OR place your hands under your butt for more support while keeping your head on the ground. Once your ab muscles are strong enough then you can move your hands to your sides or in another position.

Perfect lower ab workout Dan. Had a really hard time with the leg cross lift, especially with the right leg crossed. Will have to work on that. Hitting one of you8 upper ab workouts now. So great!

Hi guys - is it advisable to do the following routine using your videos: Day 1 - Upper Abs, Day 2 - Lower Abs, Day 3 - Obliques, Day 4 - Rest, Day 5 - Upper Abs, Day 6 Lower Abs, Day 7 - Obliques, Day 8 - Rest....& repeat. Is this ok or will I risk injury from overtraining?

Tiff and Dan, another great workout. A little bit of history. In March, 2021, I weighted 350 pounds. My wife took a picture of me and when I saw it, not sure what happened but I had had enough. I changed my diet, no more fraps from Starbucks, no sugar soda. At my annual physical in June, 2021, I was down to 255. Just by changing my diet. So, I started walking, added pushup progressions and core exercises to my workout and by August, 2021, I was at 209. Fast forward, I am now 170. However, the dirty little secret about weight loss that is usually not discussed is the loose skin. Thankfully, my loose skin is smack, dab on my belly. For this reason, no matter how much core work I do or how healthy I eat, I will always have that loose skin. Now, I suppose I could have skin removal surgery but why. I will never get that six pack but I am sure as heck alot happier not walking around everyday with another person strapped to my back. I lost a total of 180 pounds. No drugs, no shots, just a lifestyle change. Sorry for the long explanation. Thanks for listening and I look forward to more of your videos.

why is training lower abs so much harder than any other type of abs

Body fat stores there easily and is much harder to burn off. And to train lower abs you're usually adding resistance to the lower half, which isn't easy.

I weigh 92 pounds and only have 6 percent body fat with a good diet and my lower stomach still has a lot of fat on it. Any advice?

It might depend on what your good diet is and the foods you are eating. But building strength in your core will help a lot as well. That comes with time.
