Only reason why I wouldn’t recommend baking before letting the dough is because the butter has not gotten a chance to harden back again so put in the refrigerator for 30 minutes if you’re not in a rush way better cookies❤❤
Ingredients: 110g unsalted butter, melted 150g light brown sugar 115g granulated sugar 1 large egg 1tsp vanilla 200g plain flour ½tsp bicarbonate of soda ½tsp salt 200g chocolate chips 1) Preheat your oven to 190°C/ Gas Mark 5/ 170°C (fan) 2) Add the melted butter and both sugars to a large bowl and whisk until fully combined. 3) Add the egg and vanilla and whisk them in. 4) Add the plain flour, bicarbonate of soda and salt then mix to form a dough. 5) Fold the chocolate chips through the dough. 6) Roll the dough into 1tbsp (15g) balls and place them on a cookie sheet. 7) Bake for 5-6 minutes, then let them cool slightly. 8) Enjoy!
Thank you for posting this. I love a thicker cookie. I can't wait to bake some after I get out of school today. Should I swap 1/3 or more of the sugar for the additional chocolate? 🥰
This recipe is perfection. Ive been struggling with cookie recipes for months until I tried this, because I was always ending up with cookies that were too soft and cakey. I followed the measurements almost exactly, but made bigger cookies so they took longer to bake, and used all white sugar. My advice is to take them out when they get a little browned on the edges and leave them to cool. Next time I will try browning the butter beforehand for more depth of flavor.
For americans Mini cookies 1 stick butter melted 3/4 cup brown sugar 1/2 cup sugar Whisk 1 egg 1 tsp vanilla Whisk Roughly 1.5 cup flour 1/2 tsp baking soda 1/2 tsp salt Mix to form a dough Fold in 1 1/4 cup chocolate chips (or as wish) Scoop up a tablespoon of dough onto sheet into a ball Bake at 375° F for 5-6 minutes Edit: I made these and I ended up adding about 2 tablespoons of milk because the dough was pretty crumbly. Also, make sure the dough balls aren’t too thick
Made these with my 2 1/2yr. old 45 years ago. They were wonderful then and fantastic now. My Nanna gave us the recipe for simple but good cookies to keep the kids busy. Keep baking girl🤎🍪❤🍪🇨🇦🍪
Used this recipe so many times! Instead of chocolate chips I usually put in some peanut butter and cinnamon powder. If you turn them off when the edges start to brown, and leave them in the oven for 30-40 minutes they come out real nice!
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted 1 cup light brown sugar 1/2 sugar 1 egg 1 tsp vanilla 1 1/2 cup flour 1/2 tsp baking soda 1/2 tsp salt 1 cup chocolate chips Set oven to 375 degree F
I just want to say, I made this recipe and that same day, without missing a beat, my brother told me the cookies were good. He had never complimented me or my baking. Thank you for making such an easy and delicious recipe!
I came back to this comment because I wanted to tell you how l dealt with it. I finally went to God about this toxic treatment, all of my life. God said to pray for them, and l did. He revealed to me as to why the person acts the way they do. God Bless!! 🙏🏼
@@SnailHatanwell seeing as you have to get all ingredients together to the table and get the mixer mix everything preheat the oven and bake them . Then cool them . Yes that's more than 10 minutes 😂😆😂😆😂😆
It look so delicious🍪💕Surely they'll take at least 30 mins give or take. I don't understand the deception.😅I would gladly spend time making these. They def seem worth it.
dude what…. It’s literally just regular cookies but smaller portions??? What you said made no sense. You don’t need a different recipe for the same thing but smaller…. Just use a smaller ball of cookie dough..????????
@@kaytin101 what I’m saying is there is no such thing as a “small cookie recipe” it’s only about how much dough you put on the cookie tray and how long you bake it… that’s it.
These cookies have really brown edges. Make sure the melted butter is cooled (10min) and the eggs have come to room temperature (just put them in a bowl of warm water for a bit) Makes all the difference in the world; the look and texture. Good luck!

@@danamarcelo4200 in what world is prep and cook time for this less than 10 minutes even just eyeballing? You don't even need to try it to know, in my honest opinion.
OMG I CAN TELL U IT DOSENT TAKE 10 MINUTES BUT IT IS STILL THE BEST!!! I always look for cookie recipes and non work how I want it to, but this if definitely the best 10/10 would recommend!
Another great recipe to follow is the doubletree recipe! It just calls for a few extra things. Salt, Lemon juice, And a pinch of cinnamon- TRUST ME THESE COOKIES ARE AMAZING
A cool thing you can do is add 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder and replace chocolate chips with peanut butter chips to make chocolate peanut butter cookies.
I just made my own recipe, I feel like you should take the credit cause you made me start baking🍰. You are my inspiration❤. Ingredients: M&M's cookie mix M&M's 1/2 cup milk 35g melted butter (doesn't matter if it is salted or unsalted, but salted is recommended) 100g plain flour 2 eggs 1 cup sugar (there is sugar in the cookie mix already, so 1 cup max) 1 tsp baking power I didn't make it with icing, but you choose😉 How to make the cake: Preheat oven for 150 degrees Start by putting the cookie mix in a bowl and then add the eggs. Add the milk and mix until smooth Add the baking powder and flour and butter to the bowl, whisk until smooth (add more milk if it isn't smooth enough) When you are done, add it to your mold and add more M&M's for the topping. Add it in the oven for 13 - 15 min Cut it out and serve😁 Enjoy! Hope you make this for your channel, if would mean the world to me🥰🥰 fyi it taste sooo good😊😊
I made these! Very good, crispy edge with a soft chewy interior. It was a little sweet, but overall delicious! I would suggest melting the butter on a stovetop in a sauce pan.😊
Double the brown sugar and thank me later 😊 I sat at home for hours, one day working out the best cookie dough recipe, and mine taste like toll house. You just reminded me of this! ❤ Amazing how the scientific process can help you. My little brother told me I was trying to fatten him up like Hansel and Gretel because I made him the taste tester. 😂😂😂😂
Might I make a suggestion? If anybody wants to improve this cookie recipe, add vanilla pudding mix. It's been in my family's cookie recipe for years, and they taste AMAZING. Another tip is making them bigger, into a very thick ball. You will have less cookies, but it's completely worth it. Also make sure to slightly under cook them :)
I tried this twice, the first batch didn’t suit me well because they were hard and too cakey but the second try came out amazing!! (For my likings) I prefer, super super, chewy with slight crisp at the edges…. The second batch: - I browned my butter instead of solid - I added 1 cup flour instead of 1 & 1/2 - oven was on 350dgrs and baked for 7 mins. 8 mins is fine if you want that extra crisp - they will come out looking unbaked but you have to trust the cooling process. DONT WAIT TILL THEY LOOK BROWN, they SHOULD look unbaked and the bottom slightly brown
