www.flippingfi... This 10-Minute Deep Core Activation for Women Over 40 targets the lower abdominals. Will it give you a flat belly? No. But these core exercises will strengthen the 5 core muscles and the actions you use them for daily. When you have a strong core, every exercise becomes easier. Learn to brace your core, stabilize, rotate, and do lateral flexion and back extension in a way that doesn't provide stress on lower back or the cervical spine.
In 10-minutes you can feel the lower abdominals and refer to this video regularly while you're buiding strength, then just for tune-ups as needed.

Great workout. I found I did not have the strength for the shoulders to hold the straight legged side plank. I will keep working on that

I can do all these but I have osteoporosis and worry about doing the ones that involve flexi on of my spine ie. the forward crunch. Is it safe for osteoporosis or should I skip that part?

Forward Flexion against resistance is discouraged ( and wasting time you could be doing a better exercise) - that is crunches, sit ups that work against gravity are not your friend.

Just did this for the first time and am committing myself to this daily. I have to perfect my moves which will come in time. Question - is it normal that I got sick to my stomach while doing these. Is that from activating the deep core muscles?

Hi- what a great question. When you say sick to your stomach.. I have a question about .. as in how? Throwing up.. definitely NOT normal or expected. Diarrhea ? or having to go? possible that you have activated muscle (moving created moving or peristalsis) that supported evacuation that needed to happen. LMK

@@Flipping50TV I felt like I was going to throw up, so much so I had to run to the bathroom. After I stabilized myself, I returned to my mat and finished the workout to the best of my ability. I have a lot of weight to lose and have been eating a keto diet with intermittent fasting. I was in a fasting state while performing the workout.

This was super challenging for me! I am just starting at age 48 and boy oh boy!!! Side plank was a no go for me at this point. How many reps of these sets should we do? I am tired after just the one round via video!
