I used to watch you EVERYDAY when I was in high school. I am now 25 and it feels so special to watch you cook again. I adore you thank you for inspiring me to cook❤❤❤
thank you laura! if anyone wants to, they can also add things like chinese black vinegar, sichuan peppercorns, cumin (like the cumin lamb noodles from xi'an famous foods), maybe a jar of chinese chili oil, there's a brand called lao gan ma. you can find these at places like 99 ranch or h-mart which are chinese and korean supermarkets respectively. if you don't have stores like that near you, you can find those online. and if you don't want to, that's totally fine, this is a great recipe!
"Wow, this recipe is a game-changer! Love how simple and quick it is to whip up these delicious garlic chili noodles. The flavor combination is spot on, and the step-by-step instructions make it super easy to follow along. Can't wait to try this out for dinner tonight! Thanks for sharing such a fantastic recipe!"
As a Hongkonger, I must say that you hold your chopstickes way more elegantly than many "native" users. As for the noodles, if you want to them to cook faster, soak them in room temp water an hour or so ahead and then bring the water (with the noodles in it, of course) to a boil, and they'll be the right texture to eat.
Omg I have not look at your channel for a while and I loveeeeeeee and predicate that you linked kitchen items, posted recipe and added extra links. Thank you
Oh my, so good! I made it tonight and added some pork and stir fry veggies and it was better than any take out. Thank you for the recipe! Definitely a new staple meal!
This looks really good. I wish I was good at cooking. If like me you are allergic to soy, then try using yeast extract instead. A small amount of Marmite or Vegemite adds those glutamates for the umami flavour enhancer.
I love this recipe, Laura. Thank you for the tip on the mortar and pestle with the red pepper flakes and paprika 👍🏻 I love the wide rice noodles as well 😋OMG thank you so much for this recipe, Laura. This just pops! Thank you, You're the Best.
This looks so good. I actually have chili flakes so I would use them but I love your recipe. Thank you for posting. I think I will add some dice shrimp or ground pork to it and maybe some extra veggies.
Laura, Put your 1st cookbook on the brown board and your NEW cookbook against the white tile!!!! I feel they would pop against the contrast better and really see them in the background of your videos!!! just a suggestion.😉 I have your 1st book and cant wait to order your new one!! Love your recipes!
yummm as always, yumm!! Does anyone else notice that canola oil has a flavour? I really dislike it but I’ve never heard anyone else say that, it's considered a neutral oil. I use peanut oil usually as my neutral oil, sometimes avocado if colour doesn't matter
Look delicious and hoping to try this soon… Also, do you have a recipe for a “Lemon Garlic” pasta sauce??? Looking for alternatives to tomato sauce for my pasta meals…thanks 😀😋👍
I bought these exact noodles on Amazon and went to make this, and there are absolutely no cooking instructions for how long to boil them. Try googling and get so many different answers. I am afraid to make this. Anyone have a clue?
This recipe was good, but not great. The red pepper flakes made it bitter. I think it would be better with fresh red chili peppers, so I'll use them next time. It's definitely worth making again!
do you really run so exhaustive on your own recipe that you begin to appropriate Asian authentic recipes? One, we don't put ginger in our noodle. Two, the spiced oil is for flour noodles. Three, fresh garlic and spring onions don't go into the ACTIVATION process and you can't pour the boiled oil directly on the dry powder without waiting for 30s to 1min. Four, it's really offensive to not mention it this is NOT YOUR authentic recipes. IT's SOOOOO misleading.
Actually, she said it was not her authentic recipe. And I think it’s quite nice that she is introducing her take on a generally popular Asian noodle dish to her audience. You might check out Yeung Man Cooking channel for his version of this recipe. He added ginger to the noodle. Is that a no no?? Looked delicious to me. I might try his version as the ingredients are more savory for my personal taste.
OF COURSE it’s ‘offensive’!! Because, why not? Everything is offensive it’s ridiculous! If you were paying attention, you woulda heard her say ‘this is by no means an AUTHENTIC recipe’!! Good lawd!! Get a grip it’s not that serious; it’s FOOD 🤦♀️. I’m German and don’t take everything so offensive if schnitzels aren’t being cooked EXACTLY the way we cook them. Cooking is supposed to be fun, and we all should be exploring and trying out other people’s versions.
