What an absolutely phenomenal workout. I appreciate the attention to detail on the motions and building that connection between each part of the stroke. It adds an extra joy to the workout. In addition, the stretching afterwards is much appreciated and important. Just all around thank you for this gem of a workout. 🎉
I swear, without these videos I would get nothing out of my machine. Thank you Shane! I make all the newb mistakes you're correcting throughout! V grateful.
I love these so much! I have a request though... all your videos have such similar titles that it's impossible to tell them apart! Would you consider putting a bare-bones description of the contents?
I’m was having the same issue! 😂 I swear I open the same video at least 2-3 times in row because I forget which one I just opened. Love the videos too, but I can’t tell them apart 😂
I don’t mind. I just look for beginners, intermediate and advanced in the title and mix them up. They are all good so if/when I repeat them it’s all good.
I just ordered my rowing machine today and subscribed to dark horse as my friend advised me , I will be doing this with alternate day fasting , this is the year when I’ll drop the belly fat and get my life back
Sixty year old female here - I was quite ill for most of my fifties and now have clearance to work out. I purchased a rowing machine and am ready to go. My hope is to go into my sixties strong, fit & trim. You are speaking my love language here and I will utilize this video as my guide.
Thank you so much for these videos! My physical therapist recommended that I begin rowing to help with a work related neck/back injury. Fortunately my parents own a rowing machine so I’m able to get it done in the comfort of their house!!
Great workout! I was training on my Topiom for months then fell off late January. Yesterday I did 10 minutes broken up into two sessions .Today I found your video and followed your lead without over exhausting myself.. Loved it and felt really good afterwards. I’ll be saving this video. Thanks!
Great workout Shane! I needed a 10 min session for today and there you show up on notifications! Im still learning the mechanics of the movement so its great when you break it down into parts until it feels natural. 👍
You make all the difference. I'm 6'1 and have used attachment ligaments and tendons to do a lot of the "heavy lifting" in past workouts in yoga, pilates, etc., instead of learning how to isolate muscle groups to strengthen. Your videos have allowed me to retrain and utilize my true strength and flow through your workouts with better mechanics and better posture.
THANK YOU SO MUCH!! i was really feeling like i was a dingdong who didnt know the "row" technique. I LOVE that you expressed that its not about the speed, but about the technique...i will start again and use these lessons!
Appreciated the format mixing skill building and a short workout. Your acknowledgement that rowing is a learned skill and everyone starts with the basics resonated. I'm adding this and a few other of your "beginner" workouts to a rotation and using them to focus on form for my first several weeks on my magnetic rower. Warmup + cool down (and stretching) = improved overall workout!
This is really good, even if it’s not your “very first workout”! I like to mix things up, and can always learn something new. How to tighten all of those muscles to get more out of the workout? Um. Yep.
Hi. Thanks for the great content. Why do have the phone connected to the machine? Do you have extra data or it’s just for a different look and feel? Thanks.
Hello, which rowing machine is better in terms of resistance force and other properties; Nordictrack RX800 or Schwinn rower? Both are the same price, which one is worth it price? Thanks!
I been rowing now for about 3 years and I'm in love with it, but I notice when I watch form and technique the strokes come just beneath the chest where as mine come more mid section of stomach, am I doing something wrong?
I am just new to your channel. I’m an experienced rower, on the London Thames Tideway, but have been out of it for many years...hint...I have a 5yr old and a 18mth old. Please can you recommended a start of day rowing video of yours I can use to get back in the swing of things. My best time for erg rowing is 6am which I am loathed to do but such is the lockdown, full time employment, home schooling life. Appreciated!
