I've been picking up all of my favorite shows on physical media to avoid the purged episodes of funny shows. It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia is a satire about horrible people. When they scrubbed the Lethal Weapon episodes and have totally eliminated Dee Day from Amy physical media by making it vanish before even hitting Blu Ray. So I want to laugh at these bad people and the terrible shit they do knowing that if they do racist shit, and call each other out for it, because there are layers to all things.

I could have sworn that Piper had the liquid needed to wipe off the body paint from his body ready after everything was over, but Andre the Giant, of all people, swapped it out with water, so Piper had to spend quite a while with the paint on.

Most of the Rock concerts are just about neutered on the Network and it’s just due to Rock doing covers. It’s the same thing with licensed themes for certain wrestlers (Hogan with Voodoo Child, Victoria with All The Things She Said, etc.).

It's important to have actual records of events. When you have more and more consolidation of corporations, it puts records in the hands in very few. They can rewrite history to suit them and if we don't have the original documentation of anything, we won't know actual history.

The fact that Muhammad Hassan is given the Benoit treatment is the true injustice ! As I watched his entire run recently on the Network, there are so many great moments, promos - don't get me started on vignettes - that you need to dig out yourself. That character and story had legs and pulled so many strings, in hindsight, it was everything you want in wrestling. Disclaimer: I'm a White Christian man, but still felt everything in those promos about the American struggle. Edit: Arab American

2/20/03 edition of Smackdown cut from The Rocks heel turn a comment about Larry Bird having a big head and a part of the Rock Hogan segment where The Rock dropped a water bottle tossed to him and told the guy to then “Hand The Rock some water or he’ll have you back on the corner turning tricks for beer money.” I loved this heel turn and this version of The Rock is my favorite. I remember watching this live and I don’t want these parts to be forgotten.

Never erase history. If anything, preface anything that could be considered sensitive with a warning to "cover your ass." The only one on this list I could understand being cut is the Rock Concert because of copyright/legal reasons

It's really strange to me to delete things and pretend they didn't happen. It's not logical to apply today's values to yesterday's content. If we continually do that everything will need edited every few years and we learn nothing. We shouldn't try to edit history.

Roddy has spoken about the Bad News thing. Bad News was a legit tough sod, challenged Andre to a fight over a racial slur (he would have been crushed but that didn't stop him) and a Canada territories icon and Rod respected him and wanted a bigger push for their Mania match up. Vince asked him to help do something to get real heat, Roddie said OK I'll do Blackface, and Vince replied "I love you".

The Trish/Mickie match was edited a long time ago, to be truthful. Those segments were edited out of the home video version of that match as well. The only way you can see that match in its entirety is if you watch a home-recorded VHS tape or TIVO'd version of the match.

One of my first shows I watched as a kid was Wrestlemania 6 on VHS. I absolutely loved that promo with Piper! And it was that promo that really made me a fan of his. In 2022, I literally cannot find that promo anywhere unless I did out my old VHS's

Don't forget the Wrestlemania 17 gimmick match. The entire entrance of Fabulous Freebird Michael "P.S." Hayes has been scrapped...from the first beats of "Badstreet U.S.A." to him actually in the ring. It goes from The Goon directly to the Iron Sheik. So what if he was wearing a glimmering Confederate cape, doing the Moonwalk? It was all part of his gimmick, especially in the old Jim Crockett Promotion days where 80% of the guys were "good ol boys".

Not for censor reasons but a lot of stuff before peacock wasn’t on front pages you had to search them like the wrestlers top 5 favorite matches n old wwf music videos which both have been removed entirely also a few house shows are cut to main matches only like Andre vs Kamala cage match wwe 24/7 showed whole show by the time classics came out they cut out dark matches

While I dont agree on editing things that happened I can understand the reasons for most of the edits. But to this day I don't get the edit of Mickies Finger licking. Especially as it was cut not only for the network but for DVDs too and Vince got angry at her right after the match for doing it. It was a great move that totally fit her character and matched the story. She played a psychotic and obsessed lesbian that got rejected.... (lol, that sounds so stupid.. :D ) There have been way more offensive things before and after.

@@FragItAll my problem with Paper using blackface isn't Paper using blackface, but my problem instead is I just didn't feel like it was worth it for this feud against Bad News Brown in a match that wasn't really that good, and the blackface wasn't that's really entertaining to me, but instead it felt like a wanna be soul man instead. But if Paper had use blackface in the Mr T feud I think it would have been a fantastic used of blackface. But that's just me.

It hasn't aged well...tooo many sexual references and lil wrestling...at least on the USA network...the other channel had excellent wrestling and an amazing storyline with the nWo...and i was a teen during this time... I was WWF all the way but looking back holy shit...i remember getting too excited when Nitro got started lol (when it started an hour b4 WWF) 5 of hours from good too damn excellent show's (some RAWs were awesome especially 98 and 2000...lets 4get bout 99 k??)
