I actually think Destromon could work really well as an Arresterdramon darkness evolution. An Arresterdramon that took it's job too far, it's gone from containing evil digimon to outright deleting them.

@@TheGolux agreed though the armoured mod could also be seen as a form of mode change, so from a digital code standpoint it's a champion in rank as it only gained armor and not a completely new form, but is stronger then it's base. Like how imperialdramon or galenmon can both get stronger forms without technically digivolving.

Mad Leomon being Champion makes sense in the context of when it is brought back as Leomon, although you don't get that until nearly the end of the 1st Xros Wars Season. The fused modes should be higher level though & this is different from Mega because that is generally seen as the highest level.

I always thought that MadLeomon could be a perfect gap between Adventure Leomon and SaberLeomon, instead of just a big black Leomon like the one we see, the possession of multiple black gears could make him digivolve to Madleomon and then purified by the kid's digivices to become SaberLeomon!

Yatagaramon and Karatenmon is another one for me. I also agree on the Mamemon line. Thunderballmon should be a rookie, Mamemon the champion, the rest of the Mamemon ultimate variants stay ultimate and the Megas stay mega.

So I think what gets lost in Boltmon being Meramon's mega is that the Frankenstein novel had the subtitle "The Modern Prometheus" who is the mytholgical character who stole fire. Meramon, being fire. DeathMeramon being somewhat undead ties Meramon to Boltmon quite well, I think, and the big hands and punk aesthetic carries over.

I adore Gotsumon, Icemon, Meteormon. All I want for them is a fitting mega. Perhaps BanchoGotsumon... or maybe the hardest mineral - Diamon anyone? I think having a one off line that stays nearly identical is a great gag and I genuinely enjoy them.

Great video, per usual, Karn EX! Especially interesting your choice of BlackTerriermon and BlackGaogamon, though strangely fitting a correlation now that I really consider it. Boltmon and Titamon also seems like a pretty cool concept for an evolution line, and a fair-enough transition, along with Cupimon and Calumon. Although not the same level, with all the talk about xros wars you reminded me of one of the weirdest digimon that look like they should evolve into one another and it’s baffling that only one has technically happened because of the card game, and the digimon in question is gaossmon into either allomon or deltamon

You think you can do a Xros war digivolution line. Since shoutmon can digivolve to omnishoutmon but it skips instantly to mega. It would be a great idea with the artist you work with to create additional designs for the skipped levels for other digimon within xros wars like shoutmon. For example, gumdramon, Damemon, blue greymon, and maybe sparrowmon.

I think the misconception that Terriermon is a rabbit must have been started by the anime. I just rewatched the Tamers dub, and they refer to him as a rabbit a lot, by multiple characters on multiple occasions. He even has an attack called bunny blast. I guess the dub people just never got the memo. Not sure if the original Japanese version does this too, I've never watched it, but I wouldn't be surprised if it did.

Lucemon Falldown Mode is Ultimate (Stage 5) according to the Wiki with the distinction of being the only Demon Lord that isn't normally Mega. Then Shadowlord Mode is Mega (Stage 6) if that makes sense.

For madleomon I'll just say it's reference book says it's supposed to be an undead variation of leomon, basically like skullgreymon and metalgreymon. Meanwhile panjyamon is an actual evolution but is just leomon without a tan.

I always felt Calumon was a Mega that has a unique ability to induce evolution at the expense of attacking power, which made it feel right that the swarm of mega’s could only be drawn in and evolved in tamers by Calumon calling and evolving them

I first saw the Mamemon family on 02 and just assumed Mamemon was the rookie, BigMamemon was the champion and MetalMamemon was the Ultimate. I'd even kinda add Giromon there, who I knew from a bootleg mexican card as "Counter-Attackmon" who ALSO looked like a Mamemon evolution, a dark one due to the more violent design. I also think Raptordramon kiiiinda looks like a Dorugamon evo, same basic body shape, but armored, if it was a different colour, it would fit even more. And speaking of Gotsumon, I assumed a more proper line for him was Golemon to Volcanomon to PileVolcamon...but I also still want a Mega recolour, I dunno, make it like a jewel and have it be Emeraldmon or Diamondmon(Diamon?) or something just to complete that Gotsumon to Icemon to Meteormon silly line!

I know this is a bit of an older video, hear me out. The the VB-BE newest Dim Card we might get a new Evo for Hudiemon. Heck yeah if so. I'm looking at Wormmon's Dim Card (Huge Wormmon Fan too btw), so I seen something. While you made a list of Digimon are the same list and should evolve. What about ones that don't feel right as their level. We know the bunch. I often have no idea how to make of Morphomon. I saw that Hudiemon can become Pucchimon. Which shame we never got in the old anime. Fingers crossed for the new Zero-Two movie. I feel Hudiemon just screams Perfect Level. All the way. I see these two and btw I love the idea of the Green Pucchiemon being Wormmon's Armor. (that's just me) Red being like the Variant. I see these all think. It should be Morphomon - Pucchiemon (red) - Hudiemon. That's kind of like the fun thing about Armor Evos is they can be either or, Adult or Perfect outside that aspect. If this just an idea to spark something cool. Like Digimon that should be the other way around in Evolution?

6:44 as a Gotsumon fan, I co-sign this. I feel like Meteormon and Icemon should be variations of Gotsumon instead of evolutions. Kinda like with Goblimon/Snowgoburimon or Agumon/Agumon (Black)/SnowAgumon/ToyAgumon

Regarding Arresterdramon Superior Mode, the art you're using from the Reference book is actually off-model (fight me on this) and the actual Superior Mode may work less for Destromon, having less yellow, and generally looking less wild & sharp. The form in the Reference Book is actually its Xros Up form (just missing the Brave Snatcher but with all other changes applie), which if you did count it, would probably be Mega. In that way, it could potentially work as an evo of Destromon in that way where a Mega becomes more compact a la WarGreymon.

I could see Icemon and Yukidarumon/Frigimon being champions of a new snowman rookie in a Digimon Survive sequel with maybe a hypothetical Ice Golemon being a wrathful route champion with the Ultimate having them thaw out into another Digimon like Frigimon thawing out to reveal Panjyamon for example, Icemon thawing out for a Jack Frost Digimon, and Ice Golemon becoming Frozomon. Speaking of Survive, imagine if a sequel added new Digimon, like if the next protagonist wasn’t the one with DemiVeemon and we focused on someone with Terriermon, Harmonious could give Kommondomon an Ultimate and Mega, while Wrathful brings us Dorulumon’s line complete with a new Mega.

@@Karn_EX I have several ideas for this alongside the aforementioned Terriermon and snow man Digimon * Penmon as the partner Digimon has Moral use the Xiquemon line while Harmonious and Wrathful give Tempomon and Fros Velgremon their own lines. * If going with Kokuwamon as a partner to the main lead, Moral ends with a new Ballistamon mega, Harmonious uses Trailmon Worm before going to Locomon and Gran Locomon, Wrathful uses Blade Kuwagamon and Metallife Kuwagamon but not Tyrant Kabuterimon and instead either a new mechanical Kuwagamon mega or Grandis Kuwagamon. * If Gotsumon is used as a lead partner, while Moral uses Baboongamon, Gogmamon, and Blastmon, Harmonious has Icemon, and Meteormon, and Wrathful has Golemon and Bancho Golemon with the former having a new Mega while the latter has a new Ultimate to fill the gap between Golemon and Bancho Golemon.

Hey Karn EX here is an idea for alternate DNA digivolve for 02. For gatomon and aquilamon I think something similar to guardian eatos but with feline features to bring out the Native American side of aquilamon. For Ankylomon and Angemon, I would say a heavenly golem to perfectly represent the Earth aspect of ankylomon and the Heaven aspect Angemon. And finally since exvvmon and stringmon have dinobeemon, a Mega I think that’s perfect for Dinobeemon is something similar to the kaiju Megaguirus just not as ugly. A good mode change would be changing to a form like Kamen Rider Shin. Hope you like this idea 😊

Big Mamemon not being a Mamemon evolution is even more weird because they actually explain why in the reference book: it's an *aggregation* of Mamemon, as in a cluster of them merging like rubber bands in a rubber band ball without any individual unit actually evolving. So if you have a Mamemon, I have a Mamemon, and a few of our friends have a Mamemon, we can just Voltron them into a BigMamemon and make it larger and larger with the amount of Mamemons we add. I love Digimon and I love Mamemon, but this is one of the weirdest and most interesting abilities Mamemon have access to and definitely one of the weirdest and most interesting form changes in the franchise. I'm also curious if a large enough Big Mamemon aggregation can hold its own against Megas, at least the lower strength ones like Prince Mamemon

I like the idea of Lianpumon evolving to Yaksamon because of the mask sharp claws but since Yaksamon is a champion equivalent it's not happening. I also think Reppamon into or from either of the prior mentions works to me as well

Arresterdrsmon superior mode in the new Digivice could potentially turn into Dynasmon. I do like this because one of Arrestdramon’s attack is similar to Dynasmon. Plus the white skeleton arm could turn his entire body into Chrome Digizord and is wings turning to yellow gold to purple

All of this reminded me of something out of nowhere: What happened to the colorswaps that served as normal enemies in Digimon World? Like modokibetamon, Sharmamon, the blue palmon whose name I forgot. Muchomon and so on. As time passed, they just faded into obscurity. I think Tsukaimon is the only one who survived as a rookie for like half the Demon Lords plus Devimon, and Dokunemon was used in Digimon Masters IIRC. Hot Take. I am fine with MadLeomon being a champion. Only cause I am old and my brain is like. Yeah MadLeomon is what happens to a poorly raised Leomon when it loses a heart in Digimon World 1. Just like angemon and devimon. Considering MadLeomon is a Frankenstein like Leomon.

I agree Boltmon is a great fit for the Ogremon line! I Like Ogremon X > Rebellimon > Boltmon, where the metal punk elements of Ogremon X become the Mad-Max cybernetic elements of Rebellimon, which then becomes the Frankenstein cyborg bits of Boltmon, while keeping the green skin. Titamon is a cool Digimon, but I feel like there;s no good perfect/ultimate stage to bridge Ogremon to Titamon: Digitamamon "works", but it's obviously a bit wierd, while Rebellimon's cyborg elements come and go out of nowhere in that context: Using Ogremon's X antibody and boltmon bridges it more logically.... One of these that bugs me that you haven't mentioned is Jokermon and Matadormon: I love evil demon jester creatures, so Impmon > Jokermon > Matadormon > Piemon was a line I liked, before Jokermon got officially confirmed as a Perfect/Ultimate stage rather then an Adult/Champion one: Impmon and Jokermon both have the jester head tendril things, and then Matadormon's blades and multicolor design builds on Jokermon's sycthe and more colorful elements, which then is developed further into the amount of colors and swords Piemon has.

I was hoping Jokermon was a champion/adult too because its profile says it's Piemon Digimon and Wisemon is a perfect/eng ultimate level Piemon Digimon. So we could have had a line of mostly Piemons.

What if the other 6 Digidestined from adventure had fusions that rivaled Omnimon and were also eligible to be Royal Knights. Like if Phoenixmon and Vikemon becoming a Valkyrie esque Digimon (yes I know Valkyriemon exists but I dont think it's Norse inspired to my knowledge) or some other character from Norse Mythology that is portrayed with fire and ice or was known for its love and "responsibility".

Thing about Mailbirdramon is that it Fuses with Xross wars Greymon to create Xross wars Metalgreymon it's quite literally a Champion + Champion = Ultimate

There's plenty other examples in Xros Wars of that same or similar setup not being the case though. Shoutmon X4 is made up of two champions plus a buncha Rookies and stuff and is still a Champion. Xros Wars just wasn't thinking of traditional levels and so after the fact things got weird.

I randomly thought a couple months ago about a White Variant Liollmon should have a line that ends in Baihumon or even Gatomon being the rookie to a Baihumon line instead of a white Liollmon. Both imo make more sense than with maintaining the feline aesthetic than Bearmon to Baihumon.

Thematically why dosent leomon evolve into andramon, think about it, a leomon who’s tried everything to become strong enough to protect everyone and be strong enough to beat his foe that turns to modifying his body to achieve that power, eventually becoming more parts than organs.

I’d agree with number two if the Xros between Greymon and mailbirdramon wasn’t already an established Ultimate/Perfect in Metal Greymon even though the two versions look nothing alike. Instead maybe Mailbirdramon’s rookie/child shoukd be given a form

I never confused Terriermon for a rabbit inspired digimon xD The only one I could though is Rapidmon tbh. But other than Rapidmon Terriermon's line has always been pretty dog oriented to me lol I mean, the names say it all.
