That's a lot of money I rather stick with the original vinyls of Elvis the outtakes I rather collect those on CD which I do but thank you for the information keep up the good work I enjoy it
awesome collection ed. if i had 3000 id take your spare ftd lps. but currently i only wanna get speedway, kissin cousins and easy come easy go (the upcoming 40th title). great to know the value. another super video mike i collect FTD cds. and some vinyls speedway roustabout kissin cousins i plan to pre order easy come easy go
This was vary Interesting to see this . I do have a bunch of the FTD and I do love them . I do like the vinyl but most of the time I settle for the CD . But yes I do see the vinyl going up in $$$ all the time . Thanks for doing this video and be safe out there !!!!!
I was late to the party as far as FTD’s are concerned. And I am a little annoyed with myself, as I missed out on some great releases. The artwork on both the vinyl and cd releases are fantastic. I have just noticed that Blue Hawaii is available on eBay for £300. Crazy money, but they are all priced that way because they are rare. Take it easy, Lee
The Only FTD vinyl album I have bought is The King In The Ring! Just dont care to be ripped off by EPE any longer. Now the CDs are a different story. I like many of the Live albums. But, most are nothing new. Just repackaging of other releases and alternate takes. There are reasons they are "Alternate" takes. But, Mr. Ed, I Love your videos and You are the best!
@@antonrichardson7774 You know, you are absolutely correct. Thanks for setting me straight! I guess I had FTD and vinyl on the brain. Damnit! Hate it when that happens. BTW. Nothing to be sorry about, Anton!
@@antonrichardson7774 Just not going to collect vinyl anymore. I have 45s, vinyl albums, some of the old laser discs, CDs. Just collecting things that havent been previously released. 63 yrs old now and am wore out with collecting. But, I do admire those that collect all things Elvis. It's hard to imagine what the world would be like without Elvis.
You have some elvis records I think elvis best songs are on that's the way it is iv the rainbow coloured cds I'd like to get them on vinyl and aloha from Hawaii which I have on cd and vinyl I have other vinyl but a lot are crap and only have maybe 1 song I like but the first 2 I listen to all the time didn't have the money for the new that's the way it is very pricey and with the p and p to dear maybe I'll pick that up but a lot of level albums I was buying and listened to them 1 time so I wont be getting them for the sake of it. Enjoy your videos ed.
Average offer price for Ed’s sofa according to Graceland auctions is $233 - low $89 high $466. TCB Ed 💥 some of these are up there in $. I only own a couple of em
I have some of the records mentioned. I also want to know about the different color records. Like yellow, red and gold. All are I perfect condition but have been opened
What I feel is my most valiable LP is a 1959 Elvis LP In Gloorious Mono first song is that's alright mama the last Blue suede shoes, another 1 I had but sadly lend out never to be seen again was the 10 inch LP from the film Loving you, But the one I got left luckily I left in my late sis loft so it was Never played on the old heavy weight Garrard T/Ts of that era and is my Best source of music when I play that record Elvis Is in my room now that I have good equipment, by 59 mono LPs where perfected B4 tey went to stereo but LPs micro grooves where Never able to reproduce two channels as well as they where one channel mono the sound is trully amazing is crystal clear all other LPs or CDs i have sound Dull in comparison, mever beenplayed with aanything lower than a Shure M75 ED cartridge after I lost my V15 III cartridge when moving house, bought2 LPs with old songs one was the Sun label collection in the early 80 n the other a rereleased but Non of them souund Nothing like me 59 original MONO
2 the sound that comes out from my AR9 speakers the originals but the improved version not the ones with the 12 inch side facing speakers but a 12 facng forwards n a 10 inch down facing speaker for the bass is Magic mid range is taken care of by an 8 inch driver tweeter n super tweeter for the top end, aout 55 kilos weight n about 4 feet 6 iches high, I realised early on for the kind of sound I love spealers n cartdiges must be made in America as European speakers n Cartriges all sound to thin for my liking,
Ed, have you ever played any of these FTD albums? Curious to know how the sound is since it seems all anyone does is collect them in shrink. Thanks love the videos and Elvis
"Elvis Is Back" FTD LP version is out of my reach so I thought "Hey maybe find the CD version?"... nope! Still not possible haha... certainly not at the moment!
very nice ED i love to buy more of there Lps but i think i stay with the cds lol but so far i have 6 lps on ftds but i think i just get there cds lol great video my friend..
@@TheKingsCourt1972 OK. I have the original pressings of Girls girls girls, Girl happy, Fun in Acapulco, Blue hawaii. Ok treated. do you know how much these are worth?
I had the Elvis Tribute To Canada yellow transparent L.P but it was stolen...It goes for up to $300.00...I bought a used replacement one lately for $50...I remember my mom bought the original for me when l was about 12 years old...I think she paid $12.00 for it in the 70 s
400$ is a lot of money for poor people, average for middleclass and peanuts for rich. " a lot of money" is how you look at it. for me it is about how you feel owning them and its has nothing to do with value. If you collect vinyl for value thats fine, but then it has nothing to do with music anymore . its worth as much the fool pay for it. Collect obligations or gold then, they are worth more
I would not spend the high value of any records 50 dollars I'd only pay for records unless it was really something I wanted or was signed by an artist or something other that that cds on discogs iv spent 20 or 25 that's it .
I have no interest in the ftd vinyl albums I didn't first was tempting but then obviously invoice inside saying rip-off rip-off which exactly they are so I don't buy them
So true, REMEMBER ELVIS CHOICE WAS THE MASTER SO these albums are only for die hard collectors OR TRUE FANS WHO STUDY HIS WORKS.. im not putting them down as it serves both collectors (stamp) and true fans who are MOSTLY OUTPRICED ON THEM very col parker.
I have 2 FTD albums in my collection so far and I would not sell them for a million dollars. As in any collectable the scarcer an item is the higher the price. TCB.
@The King's Court I just found it today in My Dads old stuff. I’ll definitely let you know! Need to do my research😊You where the 1st person I found in RU-vid and listen to and when you said that about this Album I was surprised!
I already have an original release Blue Hawaii LP. I need the Follow That Dream (FTD) label Blue Hawaii Special Edition 2 Vinyl LP set released in 2009. 👍✌️
