Question of the Day: What roll and write board games have you been enjoying lately? Is there any you're currently looking forward to? One that we haven't covered that you would love to hear our thoughts on?
Great list! And I was very excited to see a new roll & write video since I love them also. I have all the games you mentioned except Retrograde. I also love how different Take a Seat is; it's very clever. Dice Thrones of Valeria is SO combotastically satisfying because everyone gets to do so much every turn! One odd little game I found one day is Insert Coin to Play - have you seen this one? It's also old-timey video game themed and you start by drawing the outlines of three video game creatures you'll need to fill in during the game. That in itself can be challenging for some, but I love it! The rest of the game is filling in polyomino shapes to complete your shape and some cards give you special abilities and there's a tiny bit of take that, but in a fun way. I appreciate the b roll images for the games you discussed - thank you!
Thanks so much Lisa! Glad we could share at least one new one for you :) We have not heard of Coin to Play! That sounds really interesting will definitely check it out. Thank you so much for watching and your kind words!
Great video with a nice variety of games! I will definitely happily watch a top 10 re rolled ! Even though I am not too much of a roll and write player myself I just have twice as Clever which I enjoy to play on a train or at the beach in summer because it is so easy to carry around.
Have you guys played Welcome to the moon? Forgot if that was on your 50 list video. I played once and enjoyed but friend didn’t as much. Like the multiple scenarios.
Oh. Loved this video with so many new roll and write games. Take a seat theme sounded really interesting. The dice in Retrograde look amazing, as does the theme. Love the sound of motor city. Get on board is currently on my shelf of opportunity. I really need to learn it and start getting it played. Question of the day. I havnt been playing any roll and writes lately. But 1 im wanting to play, which I think u have mentioned before, is floorplan.
Aren’t we all loving roll & writes these days? Joan of Arc looks excellent and I loooove Motor City. Longshot is another I am really liking and I want to try it with a big group.
We sure are! We have been DYING to play Long Shot! It was initially supposed to be a part of this video but we havent been able to find a copy anywhere!
Really enjoy your R&R videos and am always up for more. I enjoy Fleet the Dice Game and Next Station London. And then there's Lanterns Dice, the little game that no one talks about that I'm always up for playing. It's not complicated or flashy and for some unknown reason I love it.
I (Ilya) adore Lanterns Dice, I love the dice tray that comes with the game too! I feel like that game is not talked about enough. We also absolutely adore both Fleet the Dice Game and Next Station London. I'm excited for Next Station Tokyo!
@@kovray Absolutely. And find some new games to pick up. I commented various games I haven't seen in your vids, both to feed the algorithm and hear your take on them. :D
Haven’t played a ton but I do have Railroad Ink, Welcome to…(do flip & writes count?) and Super Skill Pinball. I am intrigued by Dice Kingdoms of Valeria as I learn more about the Valeria universe. (PS - digging the whiskers, Tylor!)
@@kovray Railroad Ink is probably my favorite. They all feel very different when playing though. The only other Valeria game I’ve played is Valeria Card Kingdoms. It is fairly light but I enjoy it. I want to get Shadow Kingdoms of Valeria. Worker placement as the “villains” of Valeria.
The only one i played from your list is Explorers and i think i wouldn't mind owning it. Our favorite one is Dinosaur Island Rawr'n write, but i got Three sisters recently and we like it a lot too ! Rustling leaves is a really good one too, fast and easy. I would like to try River Side, Demeter and Merchant of Magick !
Another great vid; love the work and care you put into your content. I have been playing a lot of 'Dungeons, Dice & Danger' lately. Also, I have Motor City on preorder with my FLGS. Looking for ward to it.
Looooveeee Dungeons, Dice & Danger! I can't wait to see if (hopefully when) there will be sequels! You'll have to share your thoughts of Motor City with us once you have the chance to play!
Nice list! I have many roll/flip and writes and would like to try Take A Seat. I hear there is no publisher/distributor in North America. Where did you pick up your copy?
I really love Twilight Inscription. I've only played it solo so far but would like to try it at 3 players. I've been wanting to try out Motor City as I love Three Sisters. I probably should first circle back to Flee the Dice game first.
They're all brilliant! Honestly you can't go wrong with any of the three. I really want to play Twilight Inscription at a full player count but I don't know if that will happen anytime soon.
I actually don’t like dry erase .. I much much much prefer writing with pens. Maybe you could consider ?? And write (with pen) or ?? And Write (with dry erase) ..
I have only heard of one of the 10 listed today. I have not played to many - but I enjoy Cartographers and Rolling Realms. Do most roll and rights allow one player?
Hiya, new sub here. Great vid, thanks for the list. Attempted constructive feedback, meant to be kind: it'd be better if Tylor looked at the camera more, his eyes are mostly everywhere else and it's a bit distracting imo.
