Dan thanks very much for posting this and your opinion! Also very helpful that you included what the box looks like for the 2017 version. I just got it in the mail and could not figure out what version I had because there is little info on the box or bottle. I do like it quite a bit although I may like the EDT version more. Still deciding.
Totally agree with the comparison to Bois Du Portugal. I tried BDP for the first time yesterday and ESP was the first thing that came to mind. Great video Dan!
How did I miss this one? Tried it yesterday while Christmas shopping and bought it immediately, full retail price. As I get older my nose is changing and i seem to be enjoying the more classic masculine scents. This stuff is stunning. That fantastic myrrh and the dna of the original. Two sprays only for me with this beast.
I have this 2012 version and my girl actually likes it when i wear it. Im 24 years old and everyone who smelled it seems to likes it very much. You are right it does smell serious but if i can pull it as 24 i guess we all can :) i bought this one on Amazom for 90 usd last year.
I see the 2012 EDP as more of a "Woody Aromatic" with its strong Vetiver presence. I consider its discontinuation a travesty. Should have retained this as an "Evening Edition" with the development of the reformulated 2017 version. I'm firmly in your camp, 10/10! The scarcity frightened me so I finally stepped up and purchased a 200 ML supply of the 2012 version. Seems the new 2017 edition stays truer to the original lighter version. Thanks for the great review and the inspiration to finally pull the trigger on this classic darker version!
Totally agree on this gem dan , the 1st 30 mins are hard to handle then on me it softened and became superb , in fact this replaced my old friend green Irish tweed for nights out

the depth of this fragrance is the amazing sour Myrrh that every time i smell it, i get jiggly-eyed. and they took that away in the new formulation, i have 3 bottles and i don't wanna even touch them yet. I don't know when but, not yet.
Imo this and also the 2017 version which I don’t find big differences smell wise, could easily fit into Dior privee collection! Both are Niche quality perfumes! Cheers
I just picked up a 100ml 2014 original formulation 🙂 I had a 200ml bottle years ago and sold it when life threw a shit storm at me, I'm happy to get it back into the collection.
Could you please give us your review on Au Masculin Edp Intense by Lolita Lempicka. Simply Put Scents said it smells like younger brother of Dior Eau Sauvage Parfum, so I want to hear your take since Dior Eau Sauvage Parfum is one of your faorite ones
Great video! I love this one. But I'm saving my near-full 50 ml bottle for 10 years in the future when I'm in my late thirties. This stuff makes me feel a lot older than I am :-)
Lol at the intro. As for the frag, I gave a 2012 bottle. Haven't tried the 2017 formulation, but if it smells like an intense flanker to the edt, and you're not the only one to have suggested that, then I think I need to give it a sniff
Would like to see a review of the 2017 version. I'm considering getting one of the two, have onlt smelled the 2017 version so far and I'm probably looking into using it for work situations
dior eau sauvage parfum (the newer version) is an everyday type of scent for me. absolutely amazing stuff. this is what a man should smell like in my eyes. this reminds me of fahrenheit for some reason. obviously not the same smell
Really like the opening jock. But I also tend to hide perfume from my wife in locker as she also very rude spending money on perfume which she consider waste of money.

Farukh Ali It isa available on Notino, on 200ml bottles. They had 5 bottles of 100ml but it sold out in 1 week. I bought one of those 5. Tomorrow is should get the package.
I’d pick 2012 pre-reformulation 100% every time! I was horrified when I heard that Dior was discontinuing the 2012 version. I’m glad I at least have half a bottle remaining. 2017 is ok and I’d have to admit that it’s the closest to the 1966 version. That being said, 2012 exudes sophistication and says to others, "I got my s#*t together!" ❤❤ 11/10👍🏽👍🏽

Did you find out if they both smell the same,I have the first formulation which is N06387/A and I just ordered the next formulation which is a 2016 batch N0 08465/A are they the same?🤞
@Nicholas Korahais I'm not too familiar with the months they changed things but I believe that the rule of thumb is if the label is silver, it's the new formulation which is a bit brighter. But the black label uses the older formula
Eau Sauvage is a strange one for me personally I really like it but..... it’s too old fashioned for me. I like old fashioned fragrances like Floris JF and no 89 ,Aramis penhaligons lp for men or Karl Lagerfeld Classic but as someone who likes to attract women in their 20s to early 30s it’s not a great idea to wear something too dated
Fragrance Tattoo Dior says it comes in 100 ml and 50 ml bottles only. Do you think 200 ml bottle from Notino UK will be authentic? Is Notino authentic seller for this parfum? Should I go for it?
I wonder if these will go for high prices on eBay in the near future. I only have one bottle of it because there is no way you should go over two sprays so one bottle will last a lifetime. I am tempted to buy more bottles to keep in case they do go up in price.
Tried the 2017.... **NOT masculine at all.** After just 1 hour you're left with a vetiver and dusty rose scent. Smells like someone's grandma. I'll pass.
