I broke my Personal Best using a Texas Rigged BioSpawn VileCraw while fishing from a Kayak. What an awesome fish. Enjoy To buy the BioSpawn VileCraw click on this link - www.tacklewareh... The bed extender is called the T-Bone.
Incredible stuff, I had the same to similar reaction when I stuck my PB, granted it was about 4lbs lighter than that slob you've got there. I was super stoked to get my biggest fish but I wasn't overly dramatic about, I was just in pure shock and happiness; basically speechless for the most part. Anyways great video, looking forward to more yak bassin from the channel.
Haha awesome Gene. Happy for your PR. Catching such a bass is a life time story. Glad to see you took great care of the fish. Nothing less then what I expect from a great ambassador of the sport. I know too many guys that would have taken her and mount her for their own personal show. Congrats on a great catch and even better sportsmanship!
This is why I fish. You could be the best fisherman in the world but as long as you have line in the water you have a chance at a fish like this. Congrats on the new PB. Been watching your vids for years now. Keep em coming! I'd love some more kayak fishing videos! I'm a kayak fisherman myself.
Over the last year and a half I have been watching your videos (almost every day in the winter) Learning all I can to understand everything there is to know about this amazing sport and I have come so far thanks to you. I still have a lot to learn. Because of you're willingness to provide your knowledge I have also broken my personal best from last year, it was a 4 pounder from a kayak I just bought (nothing compared to the monster in this video) but for me it was a big step. I hope to get to 5 pounds soon. I know I will get there one day but the anticipation is driving me nuts. I am out almost every day I have off work. Fishing my tail off. Well done Gene. I recommend everyone I know that has an interest in bass fishing to your videos, and I make sure to tell them to subscribe to your channel. Most of all thanks for being an awesome teacher. I owe everything I know to you. Best wishes to you. Keep those lines wet.
Congrats Gene. There's nobody on the internet that I would be happier for :) ... I think it's amazing how we fish for so many years, and it never loses its fun. Beautiful fish Brother Gene...
9 years? Wow! Sometimes us viewers don't realize how special it is, for a pro, to get a new pb. One of your most heart felt videos I've seen. Thank you.
I know this is over a yr later but I just started watching your videos about a month ago. 1st off I'd like to say congratulations on catching your PB. it's an awesome feeling. and 2nd I've been fishin bass all my life, but I really enjoy watching your videos along with Rob, Jon B, AP and Flair. I feel like in the sport we love so much you never stop learnin. and y'all have helped me learn so much. thanks flukemaster! congrats again.
Thanks Gene, for getting back to me. I just wanted to let you know I love your videos they have taught me alot. Thanks again keep up the great job.Bill
Thanks for posting FM your PB. Very happy for you!!! Mine is 6lbs on shore, and the ten pounder I know is right around the corner for me. I watch a lot of your videos and love them. Your a big help, so keep doing what you do.
+Flukemaster I've watched this vid several times now and I'm always impressed at your humility. Thanks for all you've done to help me in my learning and all you are doing for the bass world. I believe guys like you, who really care about teaching and not just self promotion, are rare but a necessity to keep the outdoors important. Keep at it, and congratulations!
All serious note, i check in every day for a new video Gene, and super stoked you got to break that mark. Ive been saying it (we have all been thinking it) 2015 will be the year of the giants. So adding you to the list of giants along with guys like Tim little and Matt Allen from tacticalbassin . I have also been finding giant eastern shore bass for where i live and i think ill get my PB too. Ill be checkin in, tight lines and claps around.
Don't really understand how someone could dislike this video. Congratulations man! I can't imagine catching a almost 11 pound bass! Biggest bass I ever caught was a 7.5 pound bass on a dinky little kiddie pole. Sucker was bent like the Gateway Arch. But anyways, great job on your new personal best! :)
Great moment, thank you for sharing. I caught my pb yesterday, 5.31 on a popper from my paddle board. Did not sleep last night thinking about how that fish smashed my lure. Fishing gives us this moments full of satisfaction. I have learned a lot from watching you. You always say , tach some hot too fish. I fished for years on and off with little success. But this year when I got the itch I had the Internet (I'm 45). With the help of you, tactical bassin, bamafrogs, Mr. Roland Martin and Bill Dance I have had such a blast in the water.
I live in South Jersey and my personal best bass is a 9 lb 14oz caught at my local lake on the Stockton college campus at 4:30 am with a weightless 10 in curly tail and a 4/0 or 5/0 hook.... it was awesome feeling at the time but I didn't have a camera and it was spawning so I let it go....I wish I had a picture of it but I wasn't going to kill it just for bragging rights. Now I feel like I'll never catch a fish that big again at least in the northeast. I caught an 8 lb-er last summer but those 2 extra pounds are a huge difference. I still relive the memory but I really wish I could see and picture when I bring up the story. I still fish the lake and throw the same rig that got me her.
You can see him just soaking it in; just taking in Life man...crazy. This dude deserves it too. His videos are always great, he's given back a ton to the bass fishing community, and he always seems like a genuinely good guy. Congratulations to you sir. You earned it. Respect.
HOLY CRAP!!!! Nice catch Gene! Man I couldnt be happier for you. Really appreciate and enjoy your videos. You have a real down to earth personality and are sharing your knowledge with others and it has paid off. I personally have learned alot from you amd just want to say thanks. Looking foward to your next video and agian, awesome fish!
That's an awesome fish... very happy to see you get a new PB! It's interesting to think that the likelihood of sharing something as special as this with so many people was almost nonexistent just 10-12 years ago. For that reason, I'm pleased to see that you were able to share this experience, which obviously means so much to you, with so many people who can share in your joy. For this reason, I'm glad it took so long for you to catch this one.
Gene its been a while since i've last commented. Just bought a Hobie and i love it. Keep them lines tight my man. Thanks for getting me into bass fishing, you got a follower for life. -Justin
Wow!! congrats Gene! Enjoyed seeing that big girl! Enjoy all your videos. I'm 29 yrs old now but when I was a kid me and dad watched Bill Dance, Jimmy houston, Hank Parker, all the normal ones, but now there's very little on t.v and its guys like you now that the younger generation is watching. I'd be very proud if I were you. Keep up the good fishing sir, Jamie.
***** Thank you Jamie. That means a lot. I really feel like this is what I'm supposed to do for the rest of my life. It gives me so much joy to see people succeed using something they learned from me.
Congrats, Sir! You have been my go to person for fishing videos. I have learned a ton of tips from you including teaching me tips for fishing with a Baitcaster (which is now my go to reel.) Glad to see you catch something this beautiful. You deserved it !
Great video man love all your videos I've been watching for about 2.5 3 months and will continue to watch I'm pretty new to bass fishing I'm 22 but your videos have been a fantastic way for me to learn new things and different rigs and baits I'd like to thank you for the time you take to make these videos man and congratulations on that bass truly awesome have a good day
Congratulations on your new PB! Your videos get me through the weeks when I can't fish and the sometimes months I don't catch one either. To see someone with your experience and knowledge continue to improve and learn embodies what this sport is all about and inspires me to keep at it.
Great Catch Gene,,, Welcome to the 10+ Club.An Thank You for sharing this moment with us all. Took me 15 years to break the double digit. I know how you feel. Again, CONGRATS..

Thank you and again congratulations!!!!
Congratulations, I bet I was as happy as you were. Up here in Northern NJ we feel all excited for a five pounder. I think I'd have a heart attack if I hooked into one of those. Way to go. You sure have put in your time. And how great to have it all on camera to enjoy forever. Way to go man!
Congrats man! That is an incredible catch and even better (in my opinion) from a kayak! Btw you have an incredible channel and you always have awesome tips and products to showcase. I really think that you have the best fishing channel on RU-vid! Once again great catch, you deserved it! Thank you and tight lines!
Great Fish!! My brother and I are hooked on your channels! Your vids are awesome and informative, and we have learned a lot from you! Looking forward to more!
I was watching your channel today and saw this fish. Goodness, what a great fish!! Your instructional videos are excellent and your videos and branding are great!!
Great fish Gene. I've caught the 3 biggest bass of my life from a kayak. It's a whole different experience when you're right down there at their level. Can't beat the adrenaline rush. Congratulations. Bye the way, I've watched all your videos, appreciate you sharing the knowledge.
Congratulations, Gene.... That is one big LUNKER!! A close friend of mine introduced to Bass Fishing last summer here in Arizona. Needless to say I have fallen in love with the sport... I found your videos on-line and have been taking and practicing your great advise and suggestions... Just a few weeks ago I caught my first lunker at 7.5lbs ... Once again - Thank you for all that you do for the sport. John
Feel your excitement brother.. all the way in Chicago. No better feeling than days like that. All the best! Love your vids. I still learn a lot. Thanks, Dom
Wow that's really amazing fish, congratulations! I'm mostly into pike fishing, but really enjoy your bass fishing videos. They are taught me a lot about different fishing techniques and rod actions, thank lot about your vids man. Maybe some day I will try bass fishing too, it seems really interesting. :) Greetings from Finland!
Congrats Mr Gene on PB couldn't happen to a better fisherman you and LFG are my favorites I been fishing a long time and caught three 9 1/2 pounders love it dude
That was amazing! Congrats on your PB. We don't see bass that big here in Connecticut. Again amazing. Thanks for sharing that moment with all of us dreamers.
Congratulations!! As a new Wilderness Systems 115X owner, I'm glad you confirmed that size does NOT matter when it comes to what you're sitting on when you catch fish.
Congratulations!!! Im still fishing for 5+ I have missed some 20+inchers this spring. Need to be more patient and set the hook right. Have had trouble with small bass getting gut hooked, so I'm used to a quick set. Feel like I missed two 5+ this week alone. Ripping bait or hook out. Went back to what I know best. Soft plastic yum worm, no weight, on a 4 off set. Watching you and Chad have really inspired me to get out and try and learn new things. On my Cuda HD every other day basically! Thanks for making these videos and go get that 12+! THAT'S AWESOME! NICE BUCKET MOUTH!
That was freaking awesome man. I just started this year in bass fishing, and I watch a lot of your videos to figure out what I'm doin wrong. Yes they have helped a great deal. Thank you sir and keep you up the great work. IF YOU AIN'T BASS'EN, YOU AIN'T LIV'EN..
Congrats Gene. I have a lot of respect for your fishing knowledge and prowess. Really cool to see you catch you're pb, out of a kayak. I just started kayak fishing myself, this year.
This is an amazing moment for both of us! CONGRATULATIONS! I say for both of because 1 u caught it and 2 I've learned so much from u and this moment defines what I put to use Everytime I fish... congratulations again God bless and thank u for sharing this moment
That's SO awesome!! Congrats man!! Love the sound you made when you were weighing the fish and realized that you just set a new PB! That's an amazing feeling right there!!
The key to catching BIG BASS is stealth. Smart fish know what a boat is. They only grow to that size by being smart. I watch ur channel with my son regularly and all your tips & tricks help us. We live by Nick a jack Lake... And we keep fishing! Great catch , keep it going. This is what makes America great 😊!
Your enthusiam, knowledge and the quality of your videos make this channel my GO TO for anything bass fishing related. Congrats on the BIG catch. My wife is a Bulldogs fan so I can deal with the hat too...haha Don in East TN
Man that is a great job what fishing is all about. The feeling you get when you get the big ones is what makes you come back time and time again!!!!!!!!!!
Awesome 👍🏼 congratulations on your PB Gene I’m glad you caught the bass fishing from a kayak it’s an amazing feeling being on a lake or river paddling around searching for that awesome spot where you just know there’s gotta be a giant bass lurking around beneath you. I enjoyed watching your video !!!! Thanks for sharing your awesome adventure !!!! Danny
I'm so happy you're a catch and release fisher! Lots of people wouldn't do that. If we want big bass we got to release big bass! congrats of the big bass !
Congrats on an awesome bass, Gene! If anyone deserves to catch a giant like that, it's you! Thanks for sharing all of your knowledge with us. Keep it up!
How freaking awesome! Bet that was even more memorable pulling that big guy in on a yak. Happy for you and keep the videos coming they are always great.
Gene, you earned it. Gotta love kayak bass fishing. BTW, i'nm enjoying your vlogs and your meetups with the younger generation of bass fishing youtubers. Truth be known though, I'm older than you and and any one of them put together, so i feel for ya.
What a fish, just love the reaction and genuine feel of accomplishment. Welcome to the DD club! Man it feels awesome to see that extra digit when you weigh the hawg. Congratulations!
Going to school at Georgia southern in statesboro and I just helped my buddy Land a 9 pounder bank fishing. I had to jump half in the pond because he broke off at the last second, I landed her but I was shaking from so much adrenaline, love the feeling! Congrats
Awsome stuff gene if anyone deserves to catch a beauty like that, you do . There are not many guys out there that know alot about bass fishing that just want to share what they know with everyone . I myself would never be ablle to find the words that show how greatful I am to you for shareing your knowlege . I cant think off hand many people at all that I respect like I respect you . Cheers for the video mate
love the passion. i have watched this probably 10 times. great video. congratulations. i love that feeling and its cool you caught the whole thing on camera.
Yes, totally AWESOME! It was great to watch you catch it. It's interesting that with a bait with as much potential action as a Vile Craw that you caught that PB with letting it sit and a little twitch. Merry Christmas by the way.
Nice fish man, my step dad and I had one of our best days on the water on 04/02/15. I caught one 10 3oz and he caught one 8 6oz. We caught a total of 18 bass that evening. That was my third double digit bass but my first on a public lake. We were fishing at Lake Victor in Holmes County Fl. You can really do work out there on any given day with a watermelon seed trick work Texas rigged with 1/8 oz bullet weight. I really enjoy your videos sir!
