10 Reasons to Play a Miqo'te in FFXIV 

If only we had an emote that allowed Miqote to knock a random cup or vase off of a shelf.

I think whats funny is, the lore says Miqote's are supposed to be rare, coming from a continent during some kind of ice age and crossing a frozen land bridge, hence why moon keepers are only found in the dense forest canopy as poachers, and sun keepers seeking dry desert areas to make tribes.

You didnt even mention the default male sit. That pose is a frikin goldmine. Hiding in a bush? Perfect. Up high in a place you shouldn't be in? Sit. Want to roleplay getting a closer look at a lalafell or minion? Squat time. I unintentionally managed to convert a sprout to male miquote simply by sitting in a bunch of random places.

if you want to feel less basic cat, pick moon cat Because everyone is a sun cat and bonus points if you pick darker skin color :D

I think my favourite catpun is Pawblo Escapurr. This fabled Miqo'te was said to travel around Ul'dah, giving people coke while whispering: "The first one is free".

when I started there was no doubt in my mind. Cat girl all the way. I also just love love love all the lore surrounding Miqo'te. I like to imagine my Miqo'te being so confused in Ishgard when the talk turns to bastard children and cheating. Just turning to Y'stola like "You had one Nuhn and like 5 mommies too right? What's the big deal? I really don't get their hang up about this." and Y'stola just laughing at my WoL and shaking her head.

I, too, made the basic choice to start Miqo'te when I began. Even before I knew a drop of lore, I picked a Mooncatte. Fast forward five years, and... I'm still playing a Mooncatte. But not the same one. Fantasia is a helluva drug... Cattes and Lizzers, man. Cattes and Lizzers.

So glad you mentioned the femiqo ear wiggles when they drink something! Not many people notice and it's SO IMPORTANT! On the hats tho, I wish newer hats still had ear pockets/holes but instead, we get our ears squished now >_

I started as a Xeala Au Ra cause i find the Au Ra just as appealing as the Miqo'te and i didnt want to be "too basic" just a little basic lol, but i have to admit i couldnt resist the draw of the Miqo'te, i had to see what the hype was about. Au Ra and Miqo'te are just perfect.

As a mihoe’te i feel like i can really express myself via emotes better than other races in the game

I started as a Seeker of the Sun Miqo'te and through Fantasia, I have been a female Elezen, Femroe, male Elezen, Au Ra girl, Lala, and a Bun girl and Bun Boi. I've been all over the place but I always go back to being a cat. I'm most consistently a Miqo'te, but I've settled as a Keeper of the Moon. Thank you for the bonus points for white hair. Actually, I started with purple hair and eventually black with blue highlights (my cat Sable passed away so I decided to honor him in game by having the black Coeurl kitten follow me around and changing my in game last name). The reason I keep coming back is because of how cute and expressive they are. They just have the purrfect energy for me!

my warrior of light has gone a long way, starting as a hyur, then an au ra, then a viera, then into miqote then finally back to viera where shes sitting comfortably today and likely will not ever change i feel happy with her being a bunny girl, she looks absolutely awesome when i play dark knight and she swings around her gigantic sword

My Miqo'te actually has white hair, although I gave her some black highlights. I made those highlights darker and deeper late last year, to give the impression that she's grown a bit older and more mature after 2000 hours of game time. There was no deeper meaning to it, I just thought the combo paired well with the keeper of the moon's darker and more desaturated skin colours.

I have 7 female Miqos (all sun), and 1 female hyur highlander. She is for fanfic purposes and crafting. I like the aesthetics of the female Miqo'te form.

With the character configurations and an eye for aesthetics, you can make just some of the most beautiful male character in this game as Keeper of the Moon Miqo'te. I should know I have one myself :D

Started out as a Miqo'te, but as shadowbringers went on, and my character was more and more corrupted, I changed into a xaela Auri. Although now I somehow look depressed while using mage classes.

14 character player here. Got a couple of miquotes. They're probably the cutest I agree. I sort of fell for the bunny girls once they were introduced. But to be honest the race I like playing the most is maximum height, biggest boobed Femroe. You don't even need to attack some of the mobs when you're a GAX swinging giant femoroe MRD/WAR. They run away in FEAR!

I've played miqo'te since they were called mithra, in FFXI :3 On Balmung alone I have 6 fem'qotes, one male'qote (the brother of my main character, for this RP story I ran), and a random fem highlander (we all feel the draw sometimes.. I wish my kitties had more muscle~) And that's not counting my cattes on other servers... Miqo4lyfe

I was really new to FFXIV and knew nothing about the game. I picked Miqo'te because I basically like characters with fuzzy Ears and tails, aka Kemonomimi, and went with them. I learned about all the other stuff like emotes and lore later and wanted a lore accurate name so I changed it! XD Basically Miqo'te are my forever race that I will love to the end, they are too adorable! I especially love the ear wiggles the males do as I play as a male Miqo'te Xd Edit: Oh someone else who also like the ear pockets they are so cute! >v

I don't care if a majority of players play as a catgirl. I chose to be one when I started playing because I haven't played one before in other mmos. So for me it IS original. I was a Dark Elf Dragonknight in ESO, a Human Paladin in Lost Ark and an Elven Sorceress in Neverwinter. Now I'm a catgirl of the moon who punches people and I'm proud of her.

I feel like out of all the races, Au Ra have hands-down the most fascinating lore, tying in as it does with the Zodiark/Hydaelyn story arc, and naming conventions that tell stories in and of themselves. I'd agree, though, that their animations don't quite measure up to mi'qote's, which genuinely are on another level.

Secret 11th reason: several popular NPC's are Miqo'te (e.g. Y'shtola, G'raha Tia).

I honestly don’t have any issues with people as a Miqo’te. Cats are an invasive species sure but, cats are cute, and often are a nice sight for sore eyes.

I'm a Miqo'te because I just love them, I'm a male Miqo'te so it can represent myself in game. I made mine darker and more like getting in a warmode stand. I don't really like cuteness in my character other than races like Lallafell. But hey that's just me you know haha. But I love that sit animation, it's like going into stealth mode for me ready to jump.

My WoL is a Miqo'te but my WoL is a moon Miqo'te i love how big and round their eyes are they are so cute and pretty and i also love their lil fangs too!... X3

I started as Miqo'te but I am a fantasia addict. In other MMOs I am an altaholic but since this game you can be everything on one class I instead....fantasia a lot. I don't know what it is but I've only been Miqo'te twice. Something about it bothers me. like, they are adorable but when I am a Miqote I'm like...nah. I think my brain is trying to be edgy or something because I love being a Duskwight Elezen and a femroe. But now I am a bun (training myself to not rely on hats since I wanna go femHrothgar) so I have no idea. Maybe I'm so used to seeing them as other people that when I am one it feels weird?

I started out with M!Miqo, I eventually went for F!Highlander and while I wouldn't go back, I can't say I don't miss his /sit being positively adorable

i started as a Miqo'te female switched to bunny girl for reasons but now ive switched to Au'ra female as i really love their pretty scales that can mesh well into many glamours and adds that bit of extra detail

All true. I initially had my doubts about playing miqo'te, but there was this fantasia begging to be used.

Started out as a male Hyur. Then while chatting with friends online I got really drunk. Woke up and my character was a Moon cat in and school girl outfit and one less fantasia. Didn't ask questions, just rolled with it and haven't changed since.

My main started as Miqo'te, fantasia'd into Viera, but now waiting for female Hrothgar

I've been playing for a year and a half. 2 years in June. I've been playing the same Hyur Male since day 1 and have never fantasia'd.

Forgot to mention that Voice #5 is the best voice in teh whole game, lol

Team Highlander 4 life! Started as a Highlander and never looked at other races. She's just awesome and bad ass. I just love her slightly annoyed expression she has in cutscenes. I used one of my two fantasias (the one that came with a deluxe edition and the level 50 one) just to make her taller. And i love the emotes, as the Highlander is the most expressive one. The only thing i don't like about Highlander? Their Version of the Hempen Camise. This stringy nothing... i love the Miqo-Version of that Hempen and just wish i could wear that as a highlander. I'm not into overly "sexy" glam, so i really miss a "basic tee" for Highlanders.

I played hyur middie for 2 years, then i decided the animations, the shorter height, and overall cuter-ness of the cat gorl was just better, i do miss middie me but this change was for the best

seeing miqote players with lore accurate names honestly makes me jealous cause my dumbass couldnt come up with a name at all. I ended up being the most basic keeper miqote with the name Cinder Bella- I wish i had a lore accurate name- anyways, cats are an evasive species on earth and Eorzea is no different-

My first and only character started as a male Moonseeker called Solaire. I've thought about using my fantasia before but after doing the entire campaign with him.. He has become too stuck in my head as my character.

I'm a new player, usually in mmos I don't want to create a race with animal features so I was like "I will probably create a hyur..." Then I downloaded the game and I created my main. A miqo'te. Then I create an alt because I'm altoholic, also a miqo'te (from the other clan because yes). Actually I'm really fascinated by the lore and miqo'te lore is really interesting, I would never have said! And I know like 1% of the lore so can't wait to discover more about this race :D Thanks for the video

I use my ears and tail in RP alllllll the time. Its not something I see very often, but would love to see more. One of my RP cattes does it more than the other due to being blind, but both are pretty expressive

When I was trying out the game I was gonna be blm because I'm usualy always a warrior in mmos, didn't like it so I tried lancer... oh that's better, but then settled on warrior. Was gonna be an old grizzled grandpa, start doing limsa and... I saw the miqo'te outside the sanguine siren's pub. "I'm gonna be a catgirl pirate!!!" And have been so for about a decade now, MIQO'TE WOO!
