I noticed after i filmed the video that i talked a lot of shit about Subaru's lol. That's because its the closest competition to Evos but I'm not saying Subarus are bad cars. I would choose a Subaru over hundreds of other cars out there. Evos and WRXs are both great cars build for different crowd of people
CZeroMedia Hey man awsome Vid, iv decided to sell my 10 for an 8. Whats your opinion on the 2 platforms and are the 8s with the acd better than the non acd tcase 8s? what to expect from either ? Thanks man
Sold my Bugeye WRX and bought a 14 Evo X. It's by far my favorite car purchase so far. Far more reliable and I can make the power I want on the stock block. The drivetrain is super stout on the X. I love it!
I have the 2015 Evo final Edition I bought it brand new from the Mitsubishi dealer and had it ever since and never gave me any problems! The evo is and always will be the best import of all times I really hope Mitsubishi brings it back
completely agree i own a evo 8 mr and my mate owns a uk type hawkeye sti i mean we disagree on some things but at the end of the day there both great cars
I got One to. But its a import from Brittain i live in Sweden. So we Drive One The left side and its a right side. So The value is $4000 cheaper than The left side Drive.
DSM community peeps are the friendliest, most open-minded, most generous people (with knowledge sharing) that you will find ANYWHERE in the US import tuner circles.
Making animated Photoshop illustrations and bashing my head against my desk synchronizing a voiceover with it. You'll see. I've got a fun one coming up next. :)
Jafromobile, lmao I'm still laughing at your comment. That community is fucking cancer. I've owned three mitsubishis and finally got rid of every single one because of that community, I don't know where you live but in cali Mitsubishi owners are a bunch of fucking lames right behind the honda peeps. Imho
Jsm madrid You’re hanging with the wrong people my dude. There’s always going to be sour apples. The dsm community has been some of the most helpful people I’ve met
Edgar Morales dude same. Was really thinking about selling mine off. Cops love it, literally anyone with a quick car wants to roll race, shit gets old. At the end of the day though, it's turned my daughter into a boost freak, and that cornering capability has me stuck
I've bough an red Evo X MR 2009 with 78,000 Km (48,000 miles~) ALL STOCK for 20,000 CAD (16,000 USD~) I don't wanna mod it.. just driving it put a huuuge smile on my face.. my dream car since 2008.
Your the reason why I'm getting a evo. I cannot wait to get one, I hope to build one just like yours. Your the man Czero, keep up the good work, your a great inspiration!
03 evo 8 been my daily for the past year went threw a foot of snow on toyo all season! Since then it is making 550hp on an for black absolutely love it!
I was seriously thinking about selling it off until I watched this. My daughter loves riding in it, I love it. It's the people on the road constantly trying to race me that have really turned me off. (Turbo impreza guys are the absolute worst) It's like a bucket list for every enthusiast to tell their friends they beat an Evo, rarely do I get beat but fuck man, it gets REALLY old.
Just got my first Evo, a silver 2008 GSR for $15,995. Needed a a new clutch, pressure plate, and flywheel before making the drive home from San Antonio, TX to Lawrence, KS, and now it just needs a new windshield and catback (already has metal piping and a tune). Got my dream car for under $20k, and I absolutely love it!
I've been daily drive my 2001 Evo VII since 2010 till now & still loving it, the ACD + AYC + AWD = AAA+. The car is so raw & so original, she's a real beauty, a masterpiece of engineering, she moves so effortlessly through twisty mountain roads like an angel. Evo might be old, but it still can sends goosebumps to lots of new cars owners. No wonder the Chinese love it so much, they called it 翼豪路神 Yi Hao Lu Shen(Wing Hero Road God) and 山道之王Shan Dao Zhi Wang(King of the Mountain). So start your engine, you must grab MitLanEvo while you still have the chance before it all end up in China, as street warrior & collection of course. Go for a spirited drive, it heals your soul. Drive safely. Cheers.
I have a 2011 MR, 45.000 mi. Stock, except for rotors and filter. The only car I ever bought new. Still love it. Runs great. Have fun finding one out there that hasn't been stomped on. That's why I bought new:)
Ever since I purchased my Evo I've made quite a few friends and Soo many people come up to me to talk about my car. I've never met a ride or stuck up Evo owner either. Love the Evo community!
I love the Evo 8 and 9. One of my favorite 4 door Japanese performance cars ever. Too bad I'm emotionally invested in my Miata! Maybe once I'm done paying for school, I'll reward myself with an Evo! Great content, as usual! I love these types of videos. Keep it up!!
Great video . I've even had STI owners admit tell me about how much more stout the 4G63 is over their EJ25s. If I had to explain the Evo case, I will forward this video. Well done.
I love the channel I watched all you videos about egos and what to look for with that guidance I found a super clean evo x a few months ago that I own and DD. The car was flawless when I got it 2014 evo X with 7k miles
Get more evo videos czero, just got my evo 9 not too long ago and your videos always help a lot, showing my support and just ordered the shirt but forgot the coupon code, damn lol
CZeroMedia not sure how to do that on yt but yeah just wanted to know if you could get those for a next year project. But I am looking for the three gauge pod for the center console right noww, havent been able to find it
I had an Evo 8 years ago. I sold it and have had a few other cheap cars. At the moment i have a gc8 WRX (non sti) and am looking into trading it in for another evo 8. Really hope that it all goes to plan because Evos are my fav cars. Give me 10 billion dollars and I'd buy an Evo :-)
I own an Evo X stock with a 23.319km! I have never tune it or modified.I like it stock! When i want to sell it, i will take more money than a tuned one.
Will get another evo at some point. Owned an X but didn't really connect with it, will be a IX next. All about that rotary life at the moment though, still in love with my FC3S.
I have an Evo Vlll I have my eyes on RIGHT NOW at a stealership... SOOO clean, 27k miles beautiful red. Downside, it's sitting on XXR's and they want 33,000 for it. Was thinking of trading my bk2 genesis 2.0T in for it but idk. Want it so bad but can't afford it currently. One day
i had previously owned a stock 04 sti and then i traded it for a 06 that i modded up to 450bhp but they were so hard to work on with that boxer engine also i always lost every race against an evo i raced my buddies evo 8 when it was stock vs my 06 sti and the evo took me by a car. i sold the 06 and ended up getting a powerstroke diesel truck that i dumped 14k in parts in but im so sick of driving a big truck thats automatic and not very fast i did beat a g35 tho lol but hopefully next saturday i am guna be trading my truck to a guy with a built evo 8 it has over 15k in parts on it already, the only issue with the evo is that 6th gear doesnt wrk but i never used 6th gear in my sti except for a few times i topped it out at 186 mph, but i cant wait to get this evo 8 im so excited to drive a manual i havent in 8 years but i know itll come right back to me like riding a bike anyways good video and very happy im guna be back in the JDM scene. wish me luck on the evo im getting cus im guna str8 trade my truck so i wont have much $ to fix big issues.
Albert's 6.0 Powerstroke take that car to a shop first bud. Drive it hard and make sure the trans isn't grinding, then take it for a compression test. That truck you got could be worth double what that car is worth if it's been ridden hard. Just looking out, that's a lot of money you're exchanging for what could be a bad build/bad driver. Be careful bud, don't wanna see anyone get dicked
So what stood out to me about this video was the part you began speaking about appreciation of evos. I financed a 2014 evox for 30k. How bad a choice was that?
You called it. Mint low mileage Evo's are going to the moon in value. The question is what will happen through the next decade as we move toward EVs. I'm finishing my Evo up to be a autocross monster and retire it from its daily drive duties as I don't plan on ever selling unless I'm offered a ridiculous amount of money.
At the place I live here .. the sti especially blob eye and hawk eye are starting to have a raise in their selling price.... evo on the other hand has become super expensive to own.... hoping to buy a evo 7 before the price explode into gtr price like the 9 mr did now
I'm so happy with my purchase of my Evo 9mr 55k miles on it and runs soooooo dam good. I bought the car cause I owned a lancer before hand and I knew the car from inside out thus making me get the evo 9 and honestly it brings me joy after couple of months owning it now
Seems to me the decent Evo XIII's or IX's one would want start in the low 20K range, slightly offsetting the relational value mentioned, but still, among the best AWD tuner value around, in conjunction with their practicality. Regardless, my first choice right now would be an 8J Audi TT RS, closely followed by the XIII-IX.
I would have bought an Evo for my first car, but I can afford paying $270 a month for Insurance. The funny thing, was that the STI costed more to insure.
This is only true for the US. In Australia you'll need to replace the rear diff with an RS rear diff. The S-AYC rear diff can blow at around 450whp depending on how you drive it.
Can't wait for you guys to get airtreks,(early outlanders).Love to see what you's will do with them.Cheaper than an Evo 9 wagon 28k second hand here ,Picked up a 2002 airtrek turbo model for $700.00 body straight as hell the 4g63 under the hood had some work done to the top end but the last owner f...d the bottom end no matter have donor 4g63 ready to go in . love evo's and sti's I'm past the family guy stage have grandchildren so a five door all wheel drive with a 4g63 turbo under the hood suits me fine don't get me wrong I would love an evo 9 wagon but the airtrek has a better looking booty and dosn't look like a cedia...and the cost of bringing them up to evo9 wagon level wont break the bank.
Not exactly true that Evo Wagons are Japan exclusive. Check out Mobile.de , German website for used-cars, you will see how much of wagons are there. But, great video as always CZero!
Nice video. Question: as u said, I have a 2013 Mitsubishi evo x gsr with 32k miles with volk te37rt. But, I also have an Elmer racing cnc forged 4b11t billet race block and head from Helsinki, Finland.. what would you do? The block and head are the only ones in the USA.. thanks Czero!
Anthony Quigley Evo will not have the same rumble with unequal headers like the Subie. Even a Subie with equal length headers has a hint of rumble because of the motor layout.
