My ex and I were smelling fragrances at Macy’s and came across this a couple months ago. She absolutely loved it, I didn’t. I got it to wear for her and in turn, I fell in love with it!
First time I smell it at the store didn't like it at all, two weeks later I gave it another try and I was like wow, bought it, now is one of my favorite out of my small colletion.
The Le Parfum is definitely a winner for me. It's sexy, richer, slightly darker with the right amount of sweetness that's beautifully refined while still preserving the DNA of the original 🔥🔥🔥
I picked up the EDP around a year ago, and really like the performance. However, after picking up the Parfum, I think it projects louder and leaves a scent trail that lingers longer than the EDP, I like them both as they are fantastic fragrances. My vote is for the Parfum. It wasn’t cheap from FragranceNet either but it sells out quick so grab a bottle while you can 👍
I've been considering this for awhile, but you're the first person that made me think I need it. I love the EDP and people tend to talk like this is completely redundant. But the versatility you talked about got me. I don't mind if the scent is real similar, but I too think the EDP is too "playful" for certain situations.
I just bought le parfum after having Givenchy's Gentleman. Le Parfum is the winner. It perfectly fits my personality. It is an amazing scent. I don't if it's because Lenny Kravitz is the face of this line but it definitely rocks! It classy and rebel...I love it!!
Bought it almost three months ago for 400RON (100$ in my country). It became my Fall signature scent. I find the sage note very similar with the one from Aqua di Gio Profumo, so I find it easy to alternate between Y Le Parfum and Profumo, since they combine well on my clothes. I still put Aqua di Gio Profumo on the first place in my personal collection, but the second place I can easly say that it belongs to Y Le Parfum. You described it perfect: a fresh-sweet refined versatile smooth bomb. Glad I bought the 100ml bottle from the start.
I love Y Edp, but I don’t like le parfum after testing it at Nordstrom. I’m glad I didn’t blind buy. Just ordered a back up bottle of Red Tobacco though 😁
They’re both great! I was on the fence between the two at the store and decided on the EDP. But… I did also sprayed the Parfum on my skin when I left the store and it grew on me more and more in the dry down. So now I definitely want both lol. Still happy and love the EDP though so don’t regret getting that one first one bit
My brother got YSL Y Parfum and it sticks to the skin even after a shower. Strong scent and projection. I thought EDP was strong but Parfum beats it. A great evening aftershave IMHO
I've had this for about 4 month! I just can't get into it but it works great for Jiu Jitsu. I don't smell too funky after those long training sessions lol
I just tried this at a store yesterday. I really like it. To me it also has a grape note … which is weird as that it not an official note. I get the similar grape note vibe from Sauvage Elixir. Perhaps it is a combo of grapefruit and lavender. Not sure. I haven’t really heard of others mentioning this note before so perhaps it’s just me. Regardless I quite like Y Le Parfum and I also really like the EDP. :)
@@chriscampos7217 i wonder why people take the time to diss on fragances they havent smelled yet, no one who owns both fragances will ever dare to say that they smell similar or that if you own the the edp "the parfum is redundant", just like sauvage elixir smells nothing like the edt, same here.

I have edt 2017 & 2022, edp, eau fraiche, edt live, edp intense and le parfum. Le parfum is my favorite, so smooth and leans towards unisex with the lavender but the woods at the base cleans it all up for men. FIRE!! ill catch the elixir on sale, wasn't sold at first sniff.
I like Y Le parfum, minty, woody with sweetness from tonka. Great scent, ofc its nothing like my more expensive frags but still a good scent everyone likes and more safe than something like TF - Tobacco Oud. :)
Good video, I’m new to the world of mens fragrance, but I now find myself as an “older fella” shall we say more intrigued by them. Been looking for a place to start and the y series by Ysl seems to be the place for me.
I have u y edp and and just got in y le parfum. First day with it so I’m not really sure about. I don’t find it stronger than the edp. They smell very similar as they open as they dry down they definitely differ. It’s very subtle
to me this one smells nothing like Y edp, this one is like a mix between chanel allure homme sport eau extreme with a mild versace EROS kind of a drydown, is it better than the edp? cant compare them, they both smell like total different fragances.
Just got today, smell like a mix of Y EDP and Invictus. It's not bad, i think i would love more if i didn't have already Invictus and Y EDP but still a very good fragrance, i just for people who already have Y EDP it's redudant.
It's nice but IMO this and the EDP are overhyped, Y Live is the best IMO, still a bit overpriced though and there are less expensive and just as good alternatives.
Had it. The sage notes were too much for me. Smelled like department store "green" type of bar soap. Like a darker Irish Spring soap. Tried it for a few wears and ultimately traded it away.
I know you said the projection is cut back compared to the edp but about how many feet of projection does this give ? If I’m shaking someone’s hand and talking with them would it be smellable?
It's very like strong shower gel smell. Is it exciting? No i don't find it exciting at all, I wear it to work, yes performance is very good hence the reason but for casual and out and about there are nicer more inspiring choices also there similar fresh smell fregnances so not really unique.
I'd say both. They both give me that "creamy" vibe. Something smooth not loud and rich smelling. They both don't project like their EDP's but when someone is in 2 feet of you, they can smell you and also when you walk pass, they both leave a trail. Now if you can't afford both just go with the Chanel and maybe get a decant of the Y Le Parfum.
Own both. Smell so so similar. I prefer edp. Way way stronger better projection and last way longer. I listen to chaos and got this one already having the other. Imo smell too close to own both. Lesson learned
I blind bought this after testing the other Ys in my store and I don't regret it. It is the most sophisticated and sexiest bubblegum scent. And I can even see this dressed up. Formal setting? No. Nothing serious. But neither is this too playful so I would not see this on teenagers. This is basically Montblanc Individuel but actually great. MBI is synthetic garbage.
I'm not the happiest with this scent. I have the le parfum and it is a weak performer. I'm happy I bought used and cheaper, it does smell ok, just nothing special.
