It doesn't sell. It's uncomfortable with loads of blind spots. The base C8 Stingrays MSRP is closely priced to the $70,000 ZL1 Camaro. It's time to go for the 3rd time
FUCK NO TO ELECTRIC CAMARO FUCK NOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AND I MEAN IT!!!!!!!!😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠👿👿👿😠😠
They don't care what we want, they want us to except this as innovation and force us to give up our freewill by controlling the powerlines to our vehicles
That is a silly statement. You may not want one, but the demand is certainly there for EVs. It’s also a lame excuse for killing the Camaro. Dodge will be putting out an EV Charger and it will be insanely fast and fun.
YOU (and a couple dozen ppl on this thread) don’t want EV’s. Yall probably want trump as potus too. 🙄 You’re getting old, and new generations want connected vehicles that don’t sh!t on the planet. Change is inevitable and whining about it is pointless. The future is not ff gas powered vehicles, it’s hybrid, hydrogen and electric. Buckle up bisch.
No evidence that anyone with half a mind wants EV's. More government propaganda aimed at enriching those involved including the raiding country of China. China be damned.
@@gamefather9105While the US holds some of the largest known reserves of lithium, the only large-scale US mine producing it (located in Silver Peak, Nevada) makes less than 5,000 tons annually, which is less than 2% of the global supply.
I am a 48 year old die hard GM guy. I DO NOT want EV anything!!! PERIOD!!! If this is truly the GM initiative I will be buying a Challenger. End of story
Most people don't think about coal, hydo or nucular power on the other end to charge your EV. It's not free and produces emissions just like an internal combustion engine. Plus the battery technology is not advanced enough at this point in time to allow long distance runs without a recharge.
No We want better gas mileage on V8s not EVs. High level people dont know their target customer. Another disgusting decision by that woman in charge. Also. How about making cars look different? Many look the same now.
Evs will cost too much and resources will limit there production . Cost factor and lack of charging stations will limit sales , not to mention the cost . Ev's will be a fad , once companies and government see the auto industries crash .
It's hilarious to think people believe ev are more environmentally friendly but do not realize what it takes to source and build batteries as well as sustain charging stations, some of which run off of petrol.
Who says the world wants more e.v.s? Other than media like you and certain state mandates shoving this down our throats, I'm not sure this is entirely accurate. It seems GM themselves didn't want this car once they started to develop the C8. They never marketed the car, didn't care to do anything to improve it other than slight aesthetic improvements. I couldn't get passed 3 mins before posting just as a disclaimer.
Man screw EV's I don't want some silent piece of crap that can easily be controlled by the government, I want a roaring V8 and one day V12 engine that makes it FUN to drive, EV's also suck in the winter btw, cant hold a charge for nothing.
Wait till car companies find out the production of the EV car batteries and the mining of lithium is arguably more dangerous to the environment 🤣 idk a single person who’s ever said they want a fully electric car
They should never discontinued the Camaro ever I can think of a bunch other crap. We probably should’ve discontinued, but not Camero. We should just make it better make it better kind of keep a classic styling of it to a degree increase invisibility increase in performance make it a standard pretty simple I did that then they would sell a whole pile of them. It would definitely be worth of time and effort.
People think EV's don't pollute. What a joke! It takes the energy equivalence of 60 barrels of oil to manufacture an EV, AND you have to drive it for 60,000 km (37,282 ml) before it becomes carbon neutral compared to a diesel engine. I'll take the ICE Camaro any day. Infact I have just bought my first CAMARO GEN6 ❤
If there is a decline on sportscars, why is everyone including Toyota, Dodge, BMW, and the list goes on racing to produce new exciting coupes and convertibles?! No one cares about EVs or SUVs.
I owned 2 Camaros before and both electrical bays got bad. Camaro’s PCM and cables are TERRIBLE, lots of electrical problems. IMO it’s a shame they getting discontinued but at the same time I’m glad they did
I also say : the World does not "want more EV's". Governments and Environmentalists do. But, there is nothing "Green" about EV production, especially the batteries.
I'm from the future (2024).... After the numerous embarassments of EV during their cold winters.... and incredible expense to even begin purchasing one... coupled with long charge times vs gas pumps.... The EV Market has stalled / hit its peak.... and is actually beginning to trend down.
Chevy disappoints me, and Im sure many others. They have such a rich history of badass cars they could pull from and all of them have been killed or nutered. Nova, Chevelle, Impala, Caprice, Monte Carlo, now Camaro. Its sad really. They've completely forgotten what true american muscle and pony cars are all about, and its not just because of the current ev movement. No wonder Ford and Dodge sell more than double Mustangs & Chargers/Challengers. The Camaro deserved better than becoming the Corvete's lil brother sport coupe with zero visibility.
GM is doing the wrong thing we are not ready for a world with only ev's. Like do they actually look at customer data or are they just assuming everyone wants an ev?
I’m not too worried. The Camaro has been killed/almost killed off how many times now? And EVERY single time they bring it back when they see how well Mustangs sell. So people just need to buy a bunch of S650 Mustangs and it’ll be back
I’ll tell you why the cameo wasn’t selling. It was to dam expensive. At that price point you might as well get a corvette. And the were to late to the game with the LT edition.
I WOULD NEVER BUY AN EV!!!!!!! I will STICK TO MY GAS GUZZLING VEHICLES!!!!!!!!!! 😂😂😂😂😂😂❤❤❤❤❤❤The Camaro is my DREAM CAR❤❤❤❤❤❤and I'm GOING TO BUY MYSELF ONE!!!!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
There is no "growing consumer interest" in EVs. Anyone who ever wanted one already bought one. Either techno geeks or those wishing to make a political jesture. What do you suppose is going to happen once people realize there is no used market for EVs? With unacceptable battery replacement costs...expensive tire wear. Whatever. Ever see a Camaro ad on TV? GM chose to sacrifice the Camaro because its performance is too close to the Vette and considerably less costly. The chassis...even in the convertible handles fantastically. The 6.2 runs great and makes all the right sounds. Was still available with the manual trans. The ZL1 1Le is essentially a track car. The interior is a bit cramped. Austere... but its a sports car. GM is driving off a cliff. The governments and globalists keep pushing EVs. No one wants but the Chinese. They will end up controlling car manufacturing after U.S. car manufacturers are bankrupted by politicians and terrible leadership. Ill keep my Camaro and my F250 until they cut off the gas.
They say that everybody wants electric vehicles. That's not true. Everybody I know and I know quite a lot Of people over the years, they do not have any intentions of buying a electric vehicle . first off. They're not reliable in the sense of you. Can't drive distances without Recharging. It takes longer than just filling up the gas tank and going on your way again. Plus nobody understands. What do you think's gonna happen when they all have electric vehicles? Just gonna be free, no of course, not. They're gonna start changing you high prices to charge your vehicle just like buying gas again. So when they all have electric vehicles. You're gonna have to pay a A $100 or more. or more to recharge your battery every time.Nobody sees this coming. Why is everybody Not that smart you think it's not gonna be like that. And what do they think they're gonna do with all the old batteries when they do wear out And how much are those gonna cost? Almost as much as a new car.. They don't explain how long a battery last. Is too many if's about electric cars. Somebody I know that has an electric. He says it's a pain In the ass Going anywhere because there's not electric plugs everywhere like gas stations. I went to Hampton beach New Hampshire. And I couldn't find no place to park my car to charge it so I couldn't even go there. So no I do not desire or like electric vehicles.
