I took down my tv. Turn off my WiFi at night and read to go to sleep. Now a week into completely off facebook , turned off notifications. Working on decorate ring and exercise. Gave up anything made from grain or sugar which resulted in 20 lbs gone. So much I'm trying to accomplish before my 60th birthday this year.

I’ve been trying the ⏰ *5 SECOND RULE* and it is definitely a game changer for me as a former “procrastinator.” It’s crazy how quickly our same brain that created an idea, can just as quickly destroy it and get in the way of us ACTING on that idea. 🤯 A mantra that helps me snap out of that is, “ *Get out of your head, & into your body.* “ Thanks for always sharing such great tips, Sophie! 💚🙏🏾
Good morning. You mentioned that for a while you were not sure if you should start your RU-vid channel. You were concerned with failure. You were afraid of failure. Know that people like me are so very happy you did. Your thoughts and insights definitely help people like me plot those points in our future. Love ourselves. Remember who we once were and traded off because of the journey life was taking us through. Thank you for helping us be vulnerable, accept where we have been, and look towards the future with endless possibility. Where we are in the driver seat.
I am also an INFJ ! 😄 It's so rare to find another person with this type aha ! I loved this video, your content is always so inspirational and relaxing, thank you! 🌞🌻
I love watching your videos in the morning, because they always put me in a productive, calm and happy mood for the day. For me watching your content is like doing yoga or meditation. It calms me down and reminds me of what I really want in life. Thank you so much for that reminder!
*I love doing things that leave us with beautiful memories instead of buying things, planning to go wakeboarding for my husband birthday in February. The 5 second rule is one of the things that helps me to set my day; love this video Sophie.💕 I want to learn more plant base dishes in the future, the only time Arvin and I eat fish is when we catch it ourselves.*
Happy New Year!🎉 Love the calm, peacefulness of your video to start the year! I am an INFJ too. An intention I set for the year was also to be present, in addition to keeping my heart open to the way my life unfolds according to God's will. Thank you so much for sharing.🤗
In the past I've said that I'm gonna get in better shape for the summer or study and aim for a big career or move or buy a dream car.. and so on. But now I just couldn't care less about those stuff. This year all I'm gonna do is to live a minimalistic, zero waste and slow living life. Focus on me and my mental health. Life. Not money and material stuff. Thanks Sophie for inspiring me and many others around the world!
Sophie I just wanna thank you for your last video of decluttering. I said I was gonna declutter for the new year and I did it! I now have multiple bags in the garage waiting to be donated. Thank you for your inspiration. For the new year of 2022, the change I’m gonna make is to be more minimal! Own less stuff. Also, workout more. I wanna be healthy physically and mentally
I am also an INFJ! So nice to see how others with the same personality type live. I will be trying the 5 second rule! Thank you! Also could you share the orzo pasta recipe please :-)
Your video's are very comforting and the background music are very relaxing . I just love all of your video . Hope to hear more from you . Bless you always
Yes, I am an INFJ, as well. Your choice of words in these presentations attracted me as I could sense your caring, teaching, perfectionism, and genuine concern for others. I have learned, as you have, that our challenging childhood was the learning ground we needed to become what we are today. My heart wishes you health, happiness and more great expectations. Along your way, be careful. Narcissists love us.
Hello from a recent subscriber and fellow INFJ. 😁 Curating my social feed has had a huge impact on my life too, and it's something I want to continue doing. Not only does it make me feel better but I spend less time scrolling online. Fewer accounts = fewer ads = less time/money wasted.
I absolutely love this. I think we don’t realize the power that we have. Not to mention me and what I do, but it’s such a great example. A few month ago a client reached out to me so discouraged and so lacking any confidence, she trusted me and got rid of her old habits and started new ones that I suggested, ( plant based, a very strict cleaning process)and in less than a month the changes were miraculous or at least incredible ( I actually put up a Before&After about a week ago). She said she never thought she could feel this good about herself and it really motivated her to change other things. My point is NEVER give up and get out of your own way. Have faith in someone you admire or in a master in what you need. Keep your environment peaceful and know that today really is the beginning of the rest of your life. Happy New Year M and everyone here. I hope it is the beginning of the very best years of your life!🙌🏻🍑🧡Lisa
I am going to slow down my thoughts and be thoughtful when I speak. I am going to appreciate ordinary things in life and grateful for what happens. I am going to love deeper because there is no second moment. LOVE WHAT I DO AND DO WHAT I LOVE.
Hi Malama, I enjoyed your videos very much. I am INFJ too~ I have difficulty in journaling too. So starting this year, I am combining journaling with my tarot routine at night time, when I reflected my days with the tarot cards that i have pulled in the morning. Small changes are important. I have my morning, evening fitness and night time routine. They are simple but need discipline to turn them into habits. Step out for my dream is hard for me. It will be my main focus this year. I will do my best to achieve my dream step by step even though I might be slow.
I actually quit my full time job in the medical field , I dealt with a lot of poor management which led me to ask myself what I wanted . I took a whole different career path working with children from 7-12 close to home and Lower pay but I couldn’t be happier . It’s amazing how it happened obviously it took some surrendering to what people would think , and to trust my decision . I have more freedom while still getting paid and being present with my family and not being hostage to a desk
Thank you so much for touching on a plant based diet 💖 Even just starting with one plant based meal a day, and working your way to 2 is just great- so good for the planet 🌎
Since I started watching you last year. It became really clear to me and my husband what we really want in life. You are very inspiring Sophie with all the lessons and learning you have been sharing with us. At this moment our debts are all paid in full just waiting for spring to come and we will be moving to our own offgrid home self-sufficient cabin I can't wait. Thank you
I'm soo happy for taking time reading my comments. I'm happy to see the white dog this time on your video. And looking forward for more videos on your personal channel. 😀 God bless Sophie. 🙌
The 5-second rule is a handy dandy one! Great video clip, well done & professionally presented in a calm, relaxing way. Nice balcony! Thanks for sharing your life tips to the world. Wish u inner peace :)
I would definitely like to try the 5 second rule I would like to read more every day I would like to remember every day the things I 'm grateful for Thank you so much 🥰💖 Sophie for the endless inspiration Happy New Year 🎉🎉 to everyone Always be healthy ☺️☺️
Hello Sophie. I am too an INFJ . Recently just 4 or 5 days ago I found your blog , and from that day watching one video each day from your channel is becoming my mental therapy. After watching first video I felt a connection and calming vibe . Your blogs have become my source of inspiration and I am learning so many good and valuable lessons. I feel so blessed to know you. Thank you 😊. I am trying to incorporate the things in life by watching your videos. And just like you I am too starting a new life next month. I will be a PhD scholar from next month. I wish you happiness and prosperity all the way in your life.😊
I love this. Tomorrow is my 25th birthday and I have decided not to drink for the entire year of 2022. I want to build out my van home, work in film and tv and live life to the fullest. Life is too beautiful to be distracted from it with alcohol.
I’ve been watching you over month’s now, And I’m clam as ever since. I have been watching you, you brought peace into my life by watching you calm my nerves a lot my mental health state. Love your video by the way it's relaxing.
Your videography skills just keeps getting better & better! Thank you for sharing Sophie ❤️ This year I intend to give more value to my time and make sure to spend it like a finite resource 🤗
I was waiting for your first video of 2022! Happy new year ✨ your videos were such a source of comfort and healing for me last year as I was struggling with a personal loss. I hope many more people watch your videos this year and feel the same. ❤️
Another INFJ here. Great content, your posts hit me like a guided meditation. Your voice and cadence are soothing and they relax me. Thank you for the knowledge.
Good vid Malama! I always think; 1 is better than 0. I might suck when I start (even fail), but that is better than nothing. At least, I will do something. Good luck to everyone on 2022!
This year, one of my goals is to be more mindful about how I interact with RU-vid. It is the only social media I participate in, and there are some channels like this one that I love and truly enjoy, and others that I used to enjoy and still follow because of that. Sometimes I find myself just clicking on videos because I want something to watch, not necessarily because the video interests me that much, and I want to be more aware of that. RU-vid can be a wonderful platform, but sometimes I, like everyone else, can fall into a "watching for the sake of watching" mindset, and I feel like it isn't the best use of my precious time. I also have a bad habit of watching RU-vid videos when I wake up on weekends and breaks, which I don't like. It can be hard to break habits, but as you said, you are in control of your own change, so I see so many opportunities for positive change this year! Creators like you are the ones that inspire me to try to make my life as positive and enjoyable as possible, so I can't say enough how much I appreciate your content. Thank you so much for what you do and I wish you a happy 2022!
This is so relatable Anna! I also turn on RU-vid videos while I'm getting ready because it's comforting to hear someone's voice in the background. But you're right! I don't want to fall into this habit of just having "background noise." Something I really want to mindful of as well. Wishing you happy 2022.
this year, I'm conducting an experiment I just wanna know what will happen and how my life will change if I commit to my good habits, I might fall off track but I wanna keep coming back to them and showing up for myself the habits I'm committing to are waking up early, working out, learning dance, yoga, meditation and studying!!
I changed my life routine, when I decided that after being retired at the age of 55 I decided to study Literature and teach, I'm graduated and teaching. I love sports. I love life and I love God.
I love your channel very much. I also like the book Atomic Habits and have adopted the strategies from the book. I practice mindfulness from movement and apply it into my life. There are many parallels I see in your videos that resonate with me. Plus seeing sunny and warmer scene is quite refreshing for me who lives near Seattle. Thanks for your videos!
Through the video I listened to all the things you bought up. But I also thought of how beautiful and peace ful this video is, how well made it is!! It's like a clip from a movie!
I’m trying to read more. I find it hard to sit still and just have time for myself. I worry that reading is not productive enough and that I should be ‘doing’ something; of course ‘reading’ is doing something. I used to use audible and knit while I listened to a book so that I did two things at once. I’m not sure that’s always a good way to be. I feel a bit overwhelmed by all the things I should do or could do. Does anyone else feel that way?
Yes, definitely. I'm trying to slow down and not be so concerned about productivity, but I find it hard as I'm a type-A personality. I never feel bad about reading, though - it's my way of relaxing.
The key quotes are: "If you work hard enough and assert yourself, and use your mind and imagination, you can shape the world to your desires" and "Happiness resides not in possessions, and not in gold, happiness dwells in the soul". Growth is present, trusting my intuitions, not limiting thoughts, and sincere. As a youth, it is hard to see the change in the beginning, but I try to be patience of the upcoming result:)
Hi Sophie! I wish you a happy new year! Thanks for starting the new year with such great tips. I think tip number 7 is the most important one: choose what makes you happy. I often made wrong decisions because I couldn't say no to other people. It's hard and I'm still struggling with saying no, but it's getting better.
This was so beautiful and inspiring to grow as a person & have a better year ❤ and i knew you're an infj Sophie ! 😀 Because i'm also one ! I've always seen the similarities in how we think , value things and the way we prefer to live in general ! I aspire to become more grounded like you 💕
Happy New Year Sophie, wonderful video as usual. Your content is spiritually driven with simplicity. I look forward to your videos each week. Blessings ❤
Thanks for the calm and peace 💛 I’ve found this thought motivating: if I want to learn a skill or pursue a goal, for sure I’d probably not be good at it in the beginning, but what about in 1 year, 3 years, 5 years or even 10 years time? Better to make all the mistakes NOW when there is little at stake 💛
Love the idea of spending money on experiences with family and friends rather than on material possessions. I try to relay this idea to others. Unfortunately the way the world is right now it makes it extremely difficult. In Canada we are going through some more restrictions. No more than five people per household so it makes it almost impossible to connect with others even in our homes. One of the things we love to do as so many others is to go on vacations. I would much prefer to spend my money on going away with my family than anything I could buy. Being in Canada during the winter it really decreases outdoor activities so unless you ski or enjoy outdoor sports there isn’t a whole lot to do. Our restaurants are not allowing indoor dining and as I’ve said with the cold weather no one is going to want to dine outdoors. I’m doing my best to minimalize my belongings and will focus on that as much as I can during the winter months. I pray that things will get better worldwide so that we can resume a somewhat “normal” life and start to enjoy adventures with friends and family. Thank you for this wonderful video and I wish you and your family a happy, healthy and safe new year.😊❤️🙏
Praying that things will get better soon. I can only imagine when it's back to normal and we're able to travel freely and spend more time with people who are close to us. Stay safe and stay warm Debbie ❤️ big hugs from Maui
Happy New Year! I've already practiced some of the habits but is good to have this video as a reminder and yes is so important for me to be GRATEFUL. ❤
I found this helpful today. Thank you for putting it out there. The little green lizard at the end also brought me joy. :) I recently found your channel and have been enjoying it.
Inspirational and wonderful Needed all the changes in my life...living life day to day... Have to set those intentions too...Too have more gratitude and less judgemental
This year one of my goals/intentions is that I want to value the little things (especially not materialistic things) in life while also finding joy in them! I think life will be much more meaningful and enjoyable then and the realization came from watching your channel, so thank you!! 😊
Hey, thanks for another great vid! I've been doing that "5 second rule" thing, but haven't had a title for it til THIS vid. Haha! I like it, perhaps having a title for it will help me remember to keep to it. (maybe). Oooh, I went whale watching last fall, 50 miles of coast of Maine! Was WONDERFUL!! Constant breaches, pec slapping, tails out of water... also saw puffins, sharks, and seals.. SO cool! Experiences over stuff, indeed! Have a nice day! #Anole =)
Hi Sophie and thank you for this great video! All the small things you mentioned really resonate with me, very much inspiring! Your videos are always so real and heartfelt, truly appreciate all the effort you make! Blessings and all the good and positive vibes your way! Alessandra

I love your soothing voice and it just helped me to get sleep nicely....since I am breastfeeding mom I really couldnt have a sound sleep but I am overcoming it..
Good morning, I hope you are having an amazing day. This year I am renovating/decorating 2 bedrooms, 3 storage cupboards, and changing the bathroom from a wet room to a standard bathroom with bath instead of a shower. But I need to take better care of my mental health so I will be walking through a local park every morning when I first get up (excluding Sunday which is my relaxing, reset day) and doing at least 15 mins of meditation every day. Also, having a mug of hot chocolate to calm me before I go to bed (I have insomnia at the moment).
I feel so much peace and serenity watching your videos. Sometimes when I need to slow down, it really helps me get aligned on my life. Thank you. You are an inspiration.
I have lived like this for the last nine years. It is good and calm until you are ready for a bigger change! But, on the bigger shange exists a risk and stress.
Im currently going through a breakup right now. And I just found your videos yesterday. They are so calming, your videos are helping get through it. Thank you 😊
Thank you for this. I was so relaxed just listening to your voice. :) Be intentional! I love that. In a world where everything is Go Go Go and it stopped because of the pandemic..it is such a privilege to actually be mindful about all the blessings we have. I am grateful that I subscribed to your channel. I am in my 60s all the way from Manila 🇵🇭 Philippines.
Putting my phone in my pocket. Listening to you. Is a therapy. I wish to be more present while I work for my goals and not to keep think about if it's going to happen or not. Not lingering on to the what ifs and being vulnerable. To truly work with whatever time I have. If i don't have sufficient time required for the goal. I want myself to do the best I can ! Which in the end will lead me to be more vulnerable of a human! In case I fail. Looking forward to hear from you soon ♥️
I just come across your channel. And I must say that I’m absolutely in awe with how you present yourself. I love that your voice is so soft and inspiring. It’s refreshing to watch, almost like listening to an motivational meditation ☺️
