Nice comparison mate! I used to have the Lee filters but always thought they had a very visible blue cast. I thought these K&F filters showed the color more accurately that we were seeing on the video camera...which is shocking to me because I have never been happy with the quality of K&F products (especially tripods). But they gave you a couple of nice images of the cafe for sure! Great stuff as always pal. Hope you are doing well over there!
Thanks Paul, never owned one of their tripods but have a couple of variable nds for the vlogging camera and always been happy with them, so was only to happy to look at their magnetic system , I was also surprised how good they were especially against the much more expensive Lee filters, I know colour casts are easy to remove nowadays but even so , I wonder if this is a choice Lee make ? I didn't dislike the Lee image it was just a bit cooler. Things are good here thanks mate hope you are too.
I’ve always used Cokin filters but I brought a set of K&F concept NanoX filters as I’ve told you mine are the screw type but I do like them, that was a very informative vlog Lee and great to see that you are being offered items to trial now your channel deserves well done Lee
Thanks John, been offered a couple of times but by completely unknown brands and I can't recommend anything I wouldn't use or buy myself , like these filters if I felt they were that bad I would if just sent them back and not made the video. However I am genuinely impressed so far with these magnetic ones, time will tell how they hold up and what results we get with them . Thanks for the support mate 👍
Nicely reviewed Lee. I bought a K&F 10 stop to use with a lens I bought for my Nikon. I've not used it in anger yet but I'm pleased to hear it doesn't have a colour cast. I have been using cheap and cheerful Pig Iron filters, they were great in 52 and 55mm sizes but when I bought a larger one for my fz1000 it has a very noticeable blue cast to it so this time I thought I'd give K&F a whirl. I'm encouraged by your findings.
Greetings from Down Under.......thanks for your comparison of the 2 systems Lee. I use the Haida system with soft, reverse grads and the 6 and 10 stopper. Also the screw on Haida 20mm night sky filter for some astro. I have been thinking about the K and F for a while as it seems less cumbersome and easier to carry around.......not to mention cheaper than the Haida. Quite interested that there appeared to be little colour cast, like the Haida. Thanks again 😁
Hi mate , thanks for watching, yes j been using the Lee filters for years , they are good but very expensive. The K and F are far cheaper and little to no colour cast in the short time I have had them, far less than the Lee filters. I do also like the magnetic fitting, so much easier !
Thanks mate 👍 I really am surprised how good they are for the money , the Lee system is much more expensive but can't see where the extra value is warranted at the moment!
Been using them for a few months now, finding them to be great. Bizarrely, I’m trying to get hold of the GND8 filter but frustratingly, they don’t sell the magnetic one individually.
