They don't care about the people granting them anything. Have you noticed how it's been flipped around? The governments grant "we the people" permits, licenses and such. A big part of the problem is the two-party system.

Sure we did. By living in this country, maintaining our citizenship, and not having the government pass a constitutional amendment, we agreed to the creation of gun laws, and the law supports that. It's called democracy. If you don't exercise your rights, that's what happens. Maybe it's not right, but that's the way it works.
I hate to say it, bud, but there’s a lot of people that have a felony over some straight up bullshit like a substance abuse charge having over an ounce of marijuana that is now legal in most states when the second amendment was written up, it didn’t say nothing about if you have a felony, you cannot own a firearm that right there is a violation of the second amendment
We do have a history though of disarming dangerous people though so it will pass the SCOTUS. just wait till the Raheme case gets decided on. But I'll agree it should be limited to violent felonies. There are too many things that hurt no one but are fellonies.
You have to add The Brady Bill and cannot purchase when visiting another State. I found some good deals and couldn't purchase cause out of state license. Also you forgot how one city is legal and five minutes down the road completely illegal.
We just got to agree to buckle down on exposing these paid to play politicians, senators and congressmen ya know. We have the ability and means of exposing them now and its happening slowly. pretty sure you can buy long guns out of state and handguns can be bought but have to be shipped to an ffl in state but i do agree its all bs i know for a fact that i can go from my home state of missouri to kentucky and buy a long gun same day granted both states have nearly the same gun laws
You guys both wrong I believe. I got a Nevada Drivers license. Visit friend in Texas and was completely denied Long guns or Pistols. Went to Gun show, pawn shop etc and they all said no.
If there has been an increase in gun violence over the last few decades, why can’t we talk about possible correlation? What graphs look similar? The demonization of masculinity? The increase of single mothers? The increase of gun laws? The increase of prescription medication? The foreseeable consequences of democratic legislation that we arent allowed to consider.
Funny you mention this, I actually did research on this last year. One factor with a high positive correlation coefficient is the increased availability and usage of social media and electronic information exchange. Basically "the internet," although that's a very vague term.

We don’t know all the complex/simple ways the internet, phones, social media, and access to every has/will affect us. We have to keep an open mind in order to really have a productive conversation.
You know how to stop this? ALL gun manufacturers stop selling in those states ..... INCLUDING POLICE DEPARTMENTS and government officials. But it would take all of them to refuse.

NYC is 1 gun per 3 months. After Bruen, NY passed CCIA (Concealed Carry Improvement Act) which made it a felony for handgun owners to bring their guns for inspection. NYPD continued to instruct gun owners to commit multiple felonies in order to bring guns in for inspection. After several months, they changed procedure to having gun owners go to FFL, undergo BGC, purchase firearm, take pictures of firearm and serial number, BGC number, and pictures of inside, outside, and receipt of a gun storage device and email all to NYPD. After waiting for BGC to expire, NYPD would approve purchase and mail to the gun owner an updated gun permit with firearm serial number printed on it. After receiving the permit, the gun owner would be able to go back to the FFL, do another BGC, and pick up their gun.

Then pass another one to get the gun then apply and wait 3-4 months to get a CCL (estimated on differing factors) . Then 90% of the places of business (in my city not Chicago or a suburb) have no guns allowed signs in the windows so they won't get my money unless they have armed security since I can't protect myself in their establishment. My life matters to me just like my money matters to them....

You should have mentioned the "clothes hanger machine gun"! You read that correct. According to the ATF if you have a piece of clothes hanger bent a certain way it is considered a full auto machine gun and must be registered as one with tax stamp. Want to fact check me? I wish you had added waiting periods for gun purchases - in the case when the purchaser already has possession of a firearm, which is the overwhelming majority of purchases. Even if you agree that there is some purpose for a "cooling off" period for somebody who does not yet have a gun, just what possible purpose does this serve when the purchaser already has a gun?
Micro stamping is a joke. Criminals already file off the serial number on the firearm. What’s another couple seconds to just give a quick sanding in the tip of the firing pin nullifying the micro stamped serial number left on the primer

I just had to get a background check and buy a purchase permit for a freaking Glock 19. Once I paid and asked permission for my 2A RIGHT I then had to get another background check at the gun store so I could get the gun I had already ordered and paid for online and had shipped to my ffl. When I got there they were like I need ID and a cpl or purchase permit. I was like purchase permit wtf since when do I need a purchase permit? I had no idea the law changed here in Michigan gov Whitmer passed the law in feb 2024. So yes the legal hoops suck I should’ve been able to walk in to my ffl get my background check and leave with my gun same day but no we have to jump through hoops and ask the government in Michigan now.
I as a German can only laugh about this whoe video and its topic. Look at gun laws in Germany and you wil realise how happy you can be to even have the right to have guns! Here in Germany? As a private shooter: 2 or 3 short barreled guns and 5 long barreled guns. When you are a hunter you may have up to 10 long barreled guns. All need to be registered with the authorities and the hurdles to get the permission even in the first place... you have no idea. Also NOBODY gets the license to carry a gun. Even policemen have only a special permission to carry a gun when on duty. Outside of that? A real gun license? Nope! So what is the fuzz about?
I’ve always advocated for universal gun laws…. That in saying, that means more power to the federal government. Yes I understand republicans want more power to the people and the state but as you can see certain states have different gun laws, a lot stricter than what the atf enables. Another reason, why do I need to carry 12 ccw permits to drive the lower 48 states. Federal issued ccw permits should be recognized by all 50 states. Americans think they are so free with their guns but let me ask a question. If guns are there to stop a tyranical goverment witch is there right now why don't you DO SOMETHING. you keep talkin about it but nobody gets a damn rifle and goes to work. Also since I'm about to be a gun owner in the middle of europe let me tell you something alltough we have about a year of doing paperwork before you can keep a gun for sporting or hobby purpouses once you have a license you can buy literally anything. I can walk into a gunstore take a 10.5 inch ar of the wall with a 30 round mag supressor and normal shoulder stock and a 1000 rounds of ammo and walk home like I bought a new fridge or flat screen tv. The sbr thing doesn't exist here as well if it has a stock it's a rifle end the discussion. So when you talk about stupid laws you let them make those laws you are the ones who didn't stand up and shot who would have needed to be shot and now you are crying about it.
