Probably because it's still kind of dressing up and costuming to them, like dressing up as a pirate or a princess or such. And well, they play and have lots of imagination, while older kids want to fit in, be popular,.. and then yeh :/ So I experienced the same!

Once a dog was barking at me, I looked dead in his eyes and he stopped and just watched me walk by.

If my dog annoys me I growl. They always back away when I growl. They know what it means. They consider me another dog because I’m alway playing with him.

I’m more of a submissive type I feel, so when other dogs bark at me, I make myself smaller and they end up, like, growling or raising their tails like a real pack hierarchy!

So I can wiggle my ears and you know when dogs have like "woah" expression and their ears like go back a bit. Everytime I have the woah expression on my face while I'm in character, my ears move a bit but it doesn't really make a difference to other people 😂😂

Same. Sometimes I'll just look at people and wiggle my ears. I have a surprising amount of control on the movement of muscles on my head so my human ears will move when my dog ears move. People tell me I look like a dumb ass alot when I wiggle my ears but i cant control it anymore

so this comment was 2 YEARS ago, but a stink bug beetle thing was on my sink, and i went to flick it but it grabbed onto my finger and I yelped and flinged it so lound my sister asked if i got shot (as a joke)

I'm a questioning therian. I know I am one, think I'm a wolfdog, but MIGHT also be a cat? (Polytherian maybe..) and i LOVE pouncing. Try standing on your tiptoes when you walk. I have for maybe a year now, and it really helps for pouncing and making me feel more animal-like. As in, thigh being the big part of an animal's leg (the top), the bottom half of your leg as the actual leg, your foot being the bent part, and your toes as your paws. I walk on my tiptoes allll the time now. Just pretend you're wearing heels! It feels much more comfortable now that i have been doing it for awhile.

Mask the Wolf Sorry for the late response! It does feel better when I’m on my toes, it’s a lot more springy! About questioning... theriotypes can be hard to figure out! All I knew was I was a quadruped, I had a hunter instinct, and the most of phantom limbs I got were ears... so not a lot of clues. I used to think I was a coyote, but it wasn’t quite right. The clue I used to figure out I was a lynx was how I never howled or barked. I had a predisposition towards growling and yelping. I wish you luck, if you haven’t found your theriotype already!

My phantom limbs are normally a tail, I don't know what kind of tail because I don't know my theriotype yet.

I find it very hard to stop biting as it has been an automatic protect-mechanism since a young age and a 'general communication tool' I use in communicating. I want attention of my boyfriend? Give him a nom. Want that annoying friend to shut up? Bite harder in the neck or shoulder etc etc. Sadly it does get in trouble sometimes however. But I can't seem to get rid of it.

Zachary Trudell It's a really severe problem for me :/ as I really Constantly chew my lips. To the point I've timed and the longest I've been able Not to chew was only 4 hours. It's truely destroying. I hope your lip chewing isn't too bad and that you can handle it. I'm sorry to hear you experience it :/ tho I'm glad to know that I'm not alone.

I chew my choker (I use my choker as a collar) and I chew on pencils,my nails,my lips,my clothes,my hair,my jacket string,and I defend myself by biting people when they're close or choking me.

Me too. My dad brought dead frozen rats home so he can feed them to his lizard and I grabbed the bag and was fighting him for the bag of rats for some reason I just wanted to eat them(I'm starving). Then he let it go and I hid them in the closet(like a dog burying a bone) and ran up and down the hallway on all my fours and was growling at him.

who knows, you may well be a therian :) okay, the furry fandom and therianthropy are two completely different things. One is a choice, the other is not (to start with). But many therians have been, are or join the furry fandom actually.

I’m not sure because I identify with these things like having a connection with an animal and phantom limbs like when I was 7 I felt like there was something there but I couldn’t properly feel it and I don’t have a REALLY deep connection with the animal like I identify with those traits and I feel like I’m that animal when I act like it but it’s like not that deep of a connection so idk I’m a furry so it could just be that -v-

I recommend you actually to not tell them, as this will probably result in them looking up 'therian' on google and ending up with a lot of incorrect definitions and 'cringy videos'. You could link them my channel however or 'therian nation' as a youtube channel. But telling them would probably result in only more bullying which will only hurt more. You could tell them it's fashion as in 'I just like how it looks, dogs wear tshirts too right? It's made to be worn, no one made a law it could only be worn by dogs'. You can tell them it's an advanced chocker or a style like gothic or emo or even 'nature punk' I've recently heard, a gothic-like style but then around nature instead. I highly advice you to ignore as much as possible, as they want a reaction. That's interesting, so if you take that away.. it gets boring after a while. Meanwhile: plz tell your parents and go to the head of the school or a trust person (teacher) on your school. They should know so they can punish the bullies. If you have any proof, show it to them. hello, coal! i understand your situation, although i have not explicitly told my parents about me being a therian. i am a silver fox, chihuahua, and crow therian. i tooootally relate on the wishing for grass part.. where i live there are lots of streets and sidewalks too. the wildlife walks are far away, and im not old enough to drive there ahaha. i hope you and your other therian friend are happy!! i am not close friends with any other therians near me and that sucks, but at least im in a bunch of discord servers! wish you well, coal the black wolf 🖤 -iso

Talk to the kids and tell them that it's not okay to do so. Or if you are afraid of them reacting badly/pulling again, try to just stay away from them. If you really got hurt or are afraid of being hurt than I recommand telling a student 'trust person' or a head of the school about those kids as that would qualify as 'bullying'. I wish you the best atleast! Always try to stay safe, please.

Rayn Gibson there is a difference between something being spiritual or something being a spirituality :) ex: it isn’t that my neighbour is religious, that he is a religion. Ex: you cantreat an animal in a human way, but that doesn’t make the animal a human. I never said therians aren’t spiritual or that spiritual therianthropy isn’t a thing. Just therianthropy as a whole, is not defined as a spirituality but rather an (animalistic) experience of a non-human identity. In this experience, we have 2 types: spiritual therians and psychological therians. Spiritual therians think their non-human identity/experiences/internal feeling come from a spiritual cause or explaination. Souls or past lifes by example. Many spiritual therians note that their therianthropy is a huge part of their spirituality and spiritual experiences as a whole. This however doesn’t make therianthropy as a whole a spirituality but rather being experienced in a spiritual way or a core stone of a spirituality in a way. Tho as long as the person is aware it’s not about believing but about experiencing (ex: you can have a past life or soul of an animal but that fact of belief doesn’t make you a therian. The animal experiences such as mindsets or internal animal feeling or phantom limbs are the indicator of being a therian) I don’t mind people calling their therianthropy a spirituality. Even if practically terminology wise it is incorrect. But yeah i got nothing against spiritual therians :3 psychological therians identify due a psychological cause by the way. Like unconcious imprinting, complexity of human mind, unconcious copingmechanism etc.

Cr4zy_C4t_11 woah I’m sad to hear.. that’s like putting those with a few specific habits or behaviour patterns or an unsual personality into the mental hospital. Some people are just different, and it’s manipulative and toxic to try to change personalities and behaviours.. unless if it may be dangerous to yourself or the outside world perhaps. I’m really sorry to hear where they put you, that was really unfair of them honestly and unneeded (unless if you’d have had serious trouble with said behaviourisms and requested yourself to try to get rid of them. But then again, yu didn’t even do that)

@@PDTherian yeah.. thats really stupid from them. And through that place I actually got REAL problems (Anger Issues and similar) because there I always forced down every emotion, i bottled up every emotion
