Stealth games are the BEST. Chances are you've been playing them for years. Here are some things you might appreciate. Subscribe for more: / gameranxtv
Yeah like "Oh shit oh shit oh shit!!" "Huh? I didn't got detected" *screams with his longs* "Yesssss!!!" *but later gets caught be a little stupid mistake that can't get you caught* "Ahaaaaaaaaaaah!!!!!"
ReZisT Lust yea that dude still went to the hospital and was it and had a change of heart. so yea bullet should still take my fortunate enemy out who lived to see a banana clip unload
Jonathan Bohm This ain't a political statement, but there's an opportunity to make a joke about how trigger-happy cops think *_just_* like that, but I'm not clever enough to make that joke...yet.
> Infiltrates enemy base perfectly > See one guards away from his pals > Trying to get headshot > This guy moves, the bullet missed and he alerted the whole base
That guy who spots you from your back while you are killing his friends.... That guy who is immune to your bullets.... And that guy who moves as soon as you take the shot.... Only stealth Bois will understand these struggles...😔
I am like "Eeeeehhhh aaaaaahhhhhh" *breaks PS3/XB360 controller* (Yeah cause I not destroying the PS4/XB1 controllers hell no, mine is damaged and I not know why, I never throw it or drop it)
Ikr. I think you forgot one though. .. That guy who controls the cameras and notices your gun muzzle sticking out from behind the wall (this depends on what type of stealth game yu play though.)
1. Try to Play Stealthy 2. Failed but Controlled the Situation 3. Guard Walks around Corner and Sees Body 4. Investigates 5. Smack em in the Cranial with a Tire Iron 6. Rinse and Repeat
truly the number one thing any stealth gamer will understand is turning a corner only to have run into a guard then turn around so fast they dont see you and awkwardly walk away to stuff yourself into a vent or other hiding place.
There's been somemany times where I'll be doing something thinking I'm clear and as soon as I'm done there'll be guard right there that just magically doesn't see me, like with Payday 2 I've done it so many times on it
so true, so true... going through an entire mission almost perfect only to turn that corner and realize your screwed. In AC I always find myself running miles away from my quest area just to escape being seen. Then I mosy toe my way back to the quest
When you use stealth techniques IRL. XD One of my old jobs, I was a few minutes late one day. So I bumped my supervisors car to set off the alarm, and went in the side door as she checked on her car. I shit you not.
I feel you man. I feel like no matter what I do or how I approach a situation, I always get detected. Sometimes I think someone won't notice something and then they do, which is my biggest struggle.
"Time for me to stealthily kill the leader of this army in this outpos-" *A guard sees me* *Destroys entire outpost and kills every single person there*
I consistently save my ammo for that "next encounter" as every bullet might have to count and I shouldn't just use a gun whenever. Then I end up with maxed out ammo by the end of the game and no one to use it on
Another stealth thing people understand is when you're trying to steal or be sneaky something and a NPC turns around in the worst possible moment or a NPC just walks up behind you and catches you stealing.
@@homedeath4583 in skyrim I was being sneaky and was in a dungeon but this freaking falmor walk right up behind me but since my sneak skill was maxed out it didn't see me so I turned around with a falmor starring at me not doing anything and my reaction was "oh hello Mr. Falmor lovely day to kill all you're falmor family's I'll just be going now"
Whenever I do stealth games, this is what I always do. 1. Save before encountering an enemy. 2. Save after encountering an enemy. 3. Knock out said enemy and stash their unconscious body without being detected. 4. Eventually walk through the area without a care because I've knocked out all the enemies.
@@orangebutwithanh5561 He has a point, though. I've had instances where I was stealthing out in the open, in a brightly-lit room, the guards were making eye-contact with me, and they didn't see me. The only reason I ever get caught anymore is when some jerk-off physically stumbles into my character, and that's when they realize "Oh crap, there's someone here!"
I played the first splinter cell and turning on the lights out in a small office and taking guards out as they try to turn the light back on is entertaining as all hell
On some games, I go around silently picking off everyone or cheesing it in a way that they can't see me because it makes me feel better than just normal stealthing it lol
I do the same, but with the arkham games which I really enjoy and consider myself to be really good at, I go as far as to restart if I get hit in combat. I've now managed to play through the whole series on hard difficulty never getting hit or spotted
I've always enjoyed taking the time in stealth games to eavesdrop on conversations. You just dont get those hilarious chats among the guards if you go full banshee on someone. Splinter cell is a PERFECT example
I forget which Splinter Cell game it is in, but there's a mission where you overhear guards talking about videogames, and one of them mentions Prince Of Persia.
Same. I binged through all splinter cell and metal gear games last year. It really changed my approach and tactics in games. Made GR Wildlands look like a fucking joke, with kindergarten level difficulty.
(Player 1) sneaks into a room *takes guard 1 down shoots guard 2* (Player 2) runs in guns blazing* simultaneously killing Guards 3 4 5 and 6 alerting everybody in the level that both of you are there
Ironically I’m a tank gamer who prefers a game where I can berserk a bit, take cover and strategically but brutally murder everything. I pretty much just run on the ammo I pick up in the game when possible
Sn4p I popped out my hidden blade, sneaking up behind a guard's back and was about to stab him. He suddenly walked away and I accidentally stabbed a civilian instead. *guilt intensified*
Favorite thing, and least favorite thing simultaneously about dishonored is some stealth playthroughs take days and some violent ones take a couple hours
I used to do that in Deus Ex HR and MD until I found out that when you stash too many bodies in the same air duct, or stack too many in one place, some of them wind up dead and you loose the bonus and achievement for not killing anyone. And, of course, you don't realize you killed someone that way until you've finished the level, or game and you didn't get the achievement.
*Leans around corner, shoots bandit in the face with a bow* "Thought I heard something..." *Can't find me* "Just the wind, I guess." Because who hasn't been shot by the wind inside of a cave?
"Huh? Where'd you come from?" "Oh shut up Serana, he's already dead. Now put on those muffle boots I gave you so I no longer have to worry about hearing someone coming up from being me only to remember it's just you."
Always sneaking everywhere. To the point where you'd be a hunchback from all the crouching. and forgetting to unsneak when talking to someone and Instead you execute them or pickpocket and are all like nuuuuuuuuu
That feels like an Elder Scrolls issue. Kind of like the one where you go up to Faralda to gently shake her awake so she can sell you that thunderbolt spell you saved up for, only to forget who you are and proceed to suck her veins dry by complete accident.
Stealth is my go to method of fighting in games if possible even if it isn't a stealth game. I like to take things slow, observe all the surrounding and work out a plan of action that best gets me through whatever situation I find myself in. I always play alone because working with others doesn't compliment my style and usually people rushing through something gun blazing really gets on my nerve. The upside to my strategy is I usually never lose or die in a campaign but the downside is I tend to spend a very long time doing it. One example I can think of is when I played the campaign for the Halo game's. I would creep around places or peeking around corners to see all the enemies in a room before I even enter it, then I would figure out what my priority targets should be to best combat the enemy. Their were even some moments where I would take my time to slowly "cheese" enemies in halo where I would walk up to an automatic opening door through a grenade through at enemies and bail just to come back and repeat.
@@justwatch7091 This is starting to make me want to play The Last of Us, not gonna lie. I tend to do well in stealth-sections, provided the mechanics aren't fucky.
The best stealth kill I ever got was in Hitman Absolution. The part where you're supposed to kill the guy in the wrestling ring? I tossed a remote detonation explosive into the ring while hidden in the crowd. The, I detonated the explosive. No one knew it was me, and I simply walked out.
My best one was in ARK were i was raiding not using any explosives. Only tranks handcuffs ect. I got into the base and found this guy sniping i took a selfie. Or 50. Then placed bare traps narcotic traps and then cuffed him he jumped out of the tower and i shot him mid air with trank arrow.
10: OOOOOR you are skilled enough to not need to retry. 9: everyone has their own playstyle. 8: or you can ask them to play more carefully/wait for assistance 7:no *quack*, duh 6:that's also called 'stealth recommended' 5:that's called being a psycho. I'm also guilty of that. 4: that's called being good at a game 3:that's called being good st a game 2:that's also called 'stealth reccommended' 1:everyone has their own playstyle
Putting on suppressors even though they make your gun garbage Edit: For all those people who are bringing up the fact about how IRL suppressors don't decrease the effectiveness of the gun, I already explained the science in a reply.
@Nick Johnson you're 100% right but there's this thing called balance in video games. In order to remain hidden and harder to detect you must have a trade off.
My favorite thing about stealth games, is that the bullets always count. When you shoot someone 20 times in a second in an fps, it's just not as satisfying as lining up that perfect shot in hitman, or the most beautiful sniper kill in sniper elite. The weight of the bullets is somehow different you know?
I remember playing hitman absolution for the first time,it was my first stealth game and I was like 6 I just gave up on stealth and in the first level I sprinted through and shot everyone, then discovered that there’s a ledge that once you go on,makes anything u did not even matter,u can sprint through the map and on that first ledge you go to on the first level then go on it and ur 100% good
Normally I'm that person who restarts the mission, but if I restart too many times and my frustration builds up, at some point I just have to say "screw it" and kick the door down. As for that last point, yeah... If there's a way to sneak in a video game, I'm using it. Hell, even my first DnD character ended up being a Rogue :P
As long as I'm not seen, I'm fine. If I'm seen, then Plan B comes into play. Plan B= "Shit, someone saw me. Time to see how the game's AI will respond to a fucking massacre"
I still remember that intensely satisfying yet borderline upsetting moment when I beat all the stealth mission (Grimm’s missions that cause you to fail instantly if you are seen) in “Splinter Cell Blacklist” on perfectionist difficulty wile leaving every enemy undisturbed. After that I got bored with the game. Still pick it up every once in a while. Best stealth game I have ever played.
Joker 1924 i also take my time on forts to decide how to go on. It takes me at least 20 minutes for ome, but the accomplishment feeling is just too good to miss ^^
In some stealth u have to camp for maximum 4 min becuase if u dont wait for those theres 2 gaurds in one spot and that will suck in games when the alarm instantly goes off or in the ones u have to answer their radio
Stealth is a useful skill in most video games, especially in multiplayer with scenarios of trying to sneak past enemy teams, eliminating them, or earning more points with lesser deaths on your part as well.
LightTheFuze Hostage Killer, *I can do this soooooo stealthily without getting detected* *gets detected* *let's just kill everyone AJSJSKKDAOLSODSLAAAAAAAAAAAA*
Number 1 reminds me of my time playing Evil Within. The second one works really well even though the AI is pretty dumb at times, but the first is most definitely not a stealth game (primarily), but I still just sneaking up on enemies to my advantage almost every chance I get.
It's the very reason Oblivon's dark brothergood quests are my favorite. Especially the one where you have to sneak back into prison. Avoiding all the guards and hidong in the dark corners is just way too satisfying to not do. Playing that level as a child was certainly the turning point in my gaming development. I always end up finding myself sneaking around. And the feel of someone after you but having no idea where you are gives such a giddy feeling. My grandpa is actually the one who got me super into games and other things like reading and writing. (He is the best grandpa I swear) When he would be playing oblivion and I was watching the tv was always at a high volume so he could hear better. I started being able to tell him what enemy was coming up before he knew. We even had a bet on whether the sound was a mudcrab or a skeleton at one point because he had a hard time telling the difference sometimes and was swearing against me. This went completely off topic but I can't help but talk about him when gaming comes up. Some people find it weird that a grandpa would be so into games but I think its the best. Without him I probably never would realized my favorite hobbies. Much love for Gamergramps TM
Whenever I'm in a stealth game, I become so concentrated and fixated on what I'm doing that I just go completely silent, sometimes hold my breathe. Yeah, you know who you are.
My brother convinced me to give fortnite a try, and so I did and I literally just snuck around the map until there were only a few players left and killed off a few. I died in 6th place and he was furious that I got that high on my first try- I CANT HELP MY SNEAKINESS
Me on every first try in any battle royale game, even when I had a teammate, I'm like "hey, we just gonna sneeky and keep low as long as possible" that's how I play stealth n got 1# place
@@neeraj1756 Yea, specifically the games in the series that encouraged you to do completely asinine and downright idiotic things to achieve "full synchronization." The feedback system for it was obnoxious, and basically amounted to the game slapping you in the face and saying "No, that's the wrong way. Do it again, but like THIS." It honestly made me want to slap the developers right back.
@@neeraj1756 Closest I ever got was 99% in Brotherhood. Can't remember where that last bit was missing, but I want to say it was that memory towards the end where you have the Apple but can't take damage. You can't use anything but the Apple, which innately damages you every time you use it, so you have to just run like mad through literal hordes of dudes and hope for the best. I think I meant to do that eventually and just never gave enough of a fuck lol. Runner-ups go to the tank mission, even with the glitch that makes it remotely possible, and that 8-minute Romulus tomb that was a literal maze.
LMFAO, this guy knows. Pretty sure you can't even fly over that territory, it's so inundated by asshole SAM launchers. Tier 1 mode can fuck itself with a redwood.
Oh that's not too bad. You were only seen killing 1 person. In Markarth these corrupt guards tried to frame me for a bunch of killings and after I explained to them that I really wasn't interested in going to jail I had a 22k bounty.
Trust me man. As a person who has made sneak and archery legendary so many times im level 236 i recomend illusion spells. Frenzy is great. Use it on the target ehen noone is looking or frenzy rune along there path. Everyone else will do the diry work for you. Also. Use the conjure weopons. Makes it easier to get into areas without gairds yelling at you about getting nervous. Or you can just invest in the eagle eye perk.
I find in games with patrolling enemies, I'll generally stay in one spot for _far_ too long memorising their routes so I can take them out as quickly as possible, or even avoid them altogether.
Zero Fighter The guy on the right with the cord (and who uses controllers with cords?) wrapped around his arm and between his fingers! Nooo, that’s not gonna interfere with your gameplay at all!
I'm too bloodthirsty to leave any non-essential baddies alive. When the enemy doesn't realize there is anything wrong while their population rapidly dwindles to zero is how I get my trhills in stealth games.
