Once I made aeropress coffee on the train. I had a travel kettle with me, there was an electrical socket in the train, I had water, coffee, a grinder, an aeropress and my favorite thermo mug Contigo. When the coffee was ready, a guide had just arrived at the train compartment. So I poured it into a cup for him to drink a good quality coffee during his service and not the capsule one from George Clooney. 8^)

I can't 10 you enough for these 10 minutes of 10 interesting facts . It was greatly done . Oh please continue with premieres ... the anticipation may or may not be worth it , but at least I can choose to prepare the time or set aside any task during that period to see it first as soon as its posted .... especially if I like the topic title . Otherwise it's still a good way to get my attention on any interesting stuffs that'll be posted soon . Honestly there's nothing to dislike it at all even if the topic to be posted is not to my interest , I will carry on doing my things and 10 you later when I'm free to watch it . 😅 Keep it up Alex ! 🤟👍

I love my AeroPress, It's the only coffee maker I use now. It's the greatest coffee maker even made. So simple in design and so perfectly designed for making coffee.

Great video ! Recently purchased my first aero press, planning to use it at work or when I’m away (as I have a Nespresso pod machine at home ). I found it so easy to use and amazing coffee that I barely use my Nespresso anymore! It’s so easy to use and great result. I’m so happy with my purchase and really enjoy the videos

I bet you will slowly ditch the Nespresso machine. Especially if you have found a way to make your coffee more espresso-like with Aeropress. Hint: Fellow Prismo

I only use my Aero Press to make tea. I find that it is very efficient as extracting loose tea leaves/herbs. I have not found any other method that is more efficient as extraction.

The aeropress model I have is made of copolyester (blue lettering with gray tint). Looking through the later materials used to make these, I noticed an eventual switch to polypropylene. I'm curious why they changed the material when both are food-grade and BPA-free.

I want to get my first aeropress. I do a lot of camping. In fact thats what I originally wanted it for. Are there any benefits to getting the original one over the go. Ill be mostly making coffee for just myself.

The original one is slightly bigger so that's the only advantage in my opinion. I think you will like the Go version!

I have 4 aeropresses, my first one has heavy score marks on the inside from when it was pressed, I thought it was a design flaw? Got a blue one and gold. Best thing I've ever got with it is the 13 micron stainless steel filter, stopped using the paper filters years ago. Do yourself a favour and buy one. Works very well.

I bought my Aeropress in 2014-15, the one with the beige lettering. After almost daily use, I had to retire it in 2019 bc it leeched an off rancid taste to my coffee. The rubber end had also gotten incredibly hard to plunge. Mine also had a bunch of marks on the inside of the chamber. The FAQ section of the site says old models had ridges on the outside plunger that unintentionally caused the marks, but they have since gotten rid of it and state it shouldn’t be a problem now. Who knows.

@@slalomie I'm sorry, I also bought my model with gold markings in 2017, they wear out quickly. My rubber tip is already hard and I do not make coffee using the inverted method, the gum is too narrow .. this coffee brewing has become too risky (coffee spills out). The classic method is no pressure, the rubber is hard and narrow. This is the moment when you need to change the equipment to a new one, I do not know if the new AeroPress has a different rubber that will not become dysfunctional after 3-4 years?

@@Chretienne5 Don't store the rubber puck inside the tube, or it will distort. I bought two extra pucks and some paper filters from the mfg. I have the original (2005) style, and since I quit storing the puck inside the tube, it has worked perfectly for 10+ years.

When I use the normal method, the plunger gets stuck a lot and goes through a stop and start plunge throughout, any idea how I can prevent that?

I pour water over the plunger rubber before I put it on the chamber. 🤔 maybe your rubber part is over used and you need to buy a new one. It's also available as a spare part on their website. ✌

@@BackpackofFreedom also, Alan mention you can lubricate it slightly with some (food safety) lubricant - he used a lip balm.

Sounds like you need a new seal! They are available on our website or your local distributor might carry spare parts as well.

I didn't know about one mile high club aeropress making, a good one, neither the frisbee. I have two Aeropress©, very satisfied with them, thinking about buying the the Go-versión, even though I don't need it that much.

Regarding the mile high aeropress club....the problem with airplane coffee primarily is the water....Aeropress only hides it a bit better than on-board brewing. I just got my first AP for work....so many ideas on how to brew, all defy manufacturers recommendations.

AeroPress regular or the AeroPress Go are both too bulky to take pack packing, or bike packing. A backpack or a Pannier only has so much room, and the AeroPress takes up valuable space that other things you might need should be. In addition to space, it weighs more than a real multi day backpacker or bike packer who closely watches the weight of stuff they carry. Ask me how I know! Size and weight killed it for me, instead I went with GSI Outdoors Ultralight Java Drip, so I can take any coffee I want; some backpackers and bike packers take instant coffee instead, I can't stand the taste of instant so I don't bother.

I didn’t know about where the AP is made, nor of the custom APs, nor that Alan had sold part of his company. #11 There’s now a clear AeroPress, which is easier to see through to the fill marks. #12 There’s talk of larger capacity AeroPress but as of 2023, this has not appeared. Correction_ now available in UK Q4 2023.

Do you know there is a Chinese knock-off product called YuroPress, And they sell the Primo attachment as well. It is super cheap but I never use it, And also it has pink and light blue color. I almost bought it, but I decide not to because the OG Aeropress will always be superior I guess

Try a Bulletproof coffee made with a Aeropress coffee. A Tablespoon of grassfed butter, and a tablespoon of Coconut oil or MCT oil. Best to use a blender, but a hand blender will work in a pinch. Also, the best coffee I've found is from, don't hate me, Alex Jones. The Organic Reichi mushroom immune system coffee is awesome. Expensive though. Ends up being about $40 for a 1lb bag shipped to Vancouver. But whew, awesome coffee.

I’m not happy about these 10 issues. Alan Adler invented a way to make coffee. Thank god you can use his invention as you please. Quite simply he doesn’t know as much about coffee as he lets on he does.
