Great tips! The sneakers just makes sense and yet nobody’s ever mentioned it except you! I would absolutely wear sneakers 100% I don’t understand people who wear flip-flops on a plane!🤷♀️😳
I do all that except for the headphones! (I’m deaf). In case I missed you mentioning it, I ALWAYS bring an empty water bottle. I fill it up after TSA. And I bring a change of clothes. You never know and yes I needed them once.
Yes to the water bottle!!! And change of clothes is a great idea too - I bring one on international flights when I check my main bag. Dumb but maybe educational question/answer - is there anything you DO bring on a flight as a deaf-person accommodation? Ive never thought about that perspective and I’m curious what differences you experience!
@@averagegirldoescoolthings hmmmm I can’t think of anything. The only thing I do different is pre-board and tell the attendants I’m deaf. Well, I do bring my batteries and dry pack. A dry pack is what you put your hearing aid in while you sleep at night. It gets rid of the moisture.
@@averagegirldoescoolthingsthe three things i'd add would be a nail clip and file and an extra invisibobble scrunchie for my curly hair. Great video, new follower here, greetings from Rhodes in the aegean.
Great advice! I don’t understand why people wear sandals and flip flops when traveling. I will not be carrying them across the jet fuel in my closed toe shoes! And shorts, just no. I think you covered everything. I have to have my water bottle and mints or gum for my ears during take off and landing. I bring my Kindle also.
Heat patches so if you get that unexpected period with bad cramps , you stick it on your tummy area and all the pain fixed warm always helps period cramps
Earplugs & a travel blanket! Sometimes you want to sleep or even just read and all the noise on a plane is too much, so earplugs really help! Also, sometimes the plane is extra cold or again you want to sleep and a small travel blanket really helps!
Hand lotion. No rinse face wipe. Extra earplugs for the nice man who put your luggage in the overhead bin twice, because you forgot something. Throw away pair of socks for the lady wearing pantyhose who can smell her own feet, after she removed her shoes, but thinks you can’t. Silk scarf that covers eyes and mouth (possibly open while sleeping) and hides any inadvertent drooling. 😊
So,... you had me hooked at the sweatshirt that just happens to be from Whitefish Montana, where we owned our vacation home, and is next to Glacier National Park with no WiFi !! And, our son flys for United, where your hand sanitizers came from!
No way!!!! I just went there in July and fell in LOVE with Whitefish! I would love to have a cabin there. And I fly United all the time! Are your sons single? 😂
Here are some items I use that weren’t on your list. A small tablet for entertainment 8~10 inches. I bring my own wired earbuds with decent noise isolation they work with the tablet an in flight entertainment system. Several moderately priced earbuds have a seal that work as well or better than common earplugs and doesn’t drain my batteries. Pocket tissues (dry air irritates my sinuses). Hard candy or throat drops (the dry air irritates my throat), gum. Water bottle. “hygiene” wipes because airplane TP sucks. Hand sanitizer. A buff (can be used as an eye mask, headband, neck warmer, beanie, etc..), mini flashlight, spare flashlight battery, lighter. Compression socks. Slip-on shoes or athletic shoes with elastic laces making them slip-on. prescription glasses & case. Today’s dose of vitamins & meds, I take them with food so it helps to have them handy when get bite at the airport or when I eat my protein snack. Tweezers and nail clippers. When I don’t bring them I wind up needing them. A couple doses of Benedryl and some ant-acid, just in case.
DFW would not allow me in to the Centurion lounge with my Delta AmEx platinum 2 weeks ago. I was surprised! Not sure that card will be worth keeping now.
I have never downloaded movies. I don't watch anything on my phone BUT I have a Lenovo with a sim card that has pretty much all of the movies I ever want to watch.
