Rings, especially, should never be worn while lifting any kind of weight, kettlebell or otherwise. There's an injury known as an "avulsion" or "degloving". Basically, the ring traps the meat of your finger, and it gets torn off the bone, sometimes entirely. It's a devastating injury that happens with much less force than people expect, and it's super, super easy to avoid. Just take the ring off.

With reference to No 9 'No rings, watches or bracelets' an even more important factor than not damaging the gadget is not damaging yourself. If a bracelet or (much more likely) a ring snags on the kettlebell handle (or a barbell or dumbbell) it can cause a 'de-gloving' injury. The skin will tear much more readily than a metal band will break and if an encircling band is pulled sharply in such circumstances it will strip the skin off a finger like pulling the finger out of an old glove. Not pretty!

Hello, always love your videos. I have tennis elbow. I don't want to stop kettle bell cuz of it. I followed your advises and training for months now. If I stop training I am afraid to lose all the benefits and efforts I get.. How to continu kettlesbell avoiding making my tennis elbow worsening.?

I strap my garmin to my ankle (HR monitor on). I can record my workout that way, no way want to clean onto that! even turning it inside out the strap added was less conformtable. to put the weight down I always drop to rack and then back swing and as it comes back forward i sort of "squat it" to the ground in the trianglular position.

I have a silicone ring and I don’t even notice it and it is still holding up. When I wore gold, I’d remove it for everything from weights to yard work.

I think the thought of number 6 is that, when working with dumbbells, at the end of the set, particularly if you are going to failure you might be accustomed to dropping the weight, but you are kinda protected by the bench or whatever … If one considers that a kettlebell is ‘essentially’ a cannonball with a handle on it, it very much is a weapon. And going to your last point, one doesn’t consider a musket ball less dangerous than a cannonball, both of them can kill you. Even if we think of WW2, the British named their cannons by the WEIGHT of the shot 25lb, 17lb, 6lb and the anti TANK weapons at the beginning of the war were 2 pounders or 1kg! The heavy cannons during the age of sail were 32lbs or 14.5kg … so the weights we are slinging around, particularly when they are moving are VERY dangerous … When handled without respect ✊
