I don't think any of these qualify as creative control as much creative influence. Nash wasn't on the booking committee at the time so he didn't book himself breaking the streak. And Lesnar still went over Dean, he just didn't want to do any ridiculous stunts that would damage his credibility. The other 2 was the company making the decision, not the 2 individuals involved

Yes, and Michaels making a joke of the match was Hogan getting his just deserts. A classic legend vs icon feud would’ve been better, but if any two people were to hurt each other with creative control and immaturity there’s nobody better in pro wrestling history than those two.

That wasn’t Shawn’s call. That was Vince. He wanted to keep Shawn a Heel. Seeing as though Survivor Series was coming. He had already signed Bret to the 20 year deal. But couldn’t keep his end. So he was going to put the world title on Shawn because Bret was leaving.

Warrior's crash the plane promo was supposed to be the beginning of him slowly turning heel, but as the feud developed, they decided to keep both as baby faces, which was unheard of at the time, reason for thinking to turn warrior heel.

Last time Vader was takin serious as a main eventer in WWE, he went on to win the triple crown in AJPW. Also not to nitpick but there is a differance between creative control in a contract and using pull u got from being a top guy or world champ to get your way. Both usually have the same conclusion but when its not written into a contract it really just comes down to the owner or booker not being willing to put down his foot and tell them to go out and do what there told. Ex. Shawn Michaels never had creative control in his contract. Hulk Hogan did in WCW but as far as i know didnt in WWE

Bret's gone on record many times to say it didn't matter to him if he lost in Canada. It mattered to him that he lost to Shawn Michaels in Canada (and in general), because of one specific conversation they had. Bret said to Shawn that no matter their personal beef, in the ring Shawn would be safe with him, Bret wouldn't take liberties and he would be happy to put him over. Shawn responded by saying "Thank you for the sentiment, but I will never do the same for you." If not for that conversation, Bret would have dropped the belt to Michaels in Montreal without batting an eye and even after that conversation he would have dropped the belt to anyone else at that event.

People still believe in the Nexus Conspiracy Theory? 😂 According to Jericho's third book, he said that Vince McMahon was the one who booked Nexus to lose. All him, Edge & Cena were discussing was HOW the Nexus would lose. Which is where Cena came up with that type of finish. I know people think that Cena has a Hogan contract but only Hulk Hogan has that kind of clause. If you are looking for someone to blame then call Vince McMahon.

I know its just me but in all honesty ive never been a HBK fan, i admit he was amazing in ring but i could never see him as a badass or a tough guy...in my opinion bret hart blows hbk away

That shit he pulled against Vader really bugged me, just kicking him in the head and berating him when he was down selling. Really wish Vader had just gotten up and beat the shit out of him, but Vader was a pro, and it'd have cost him his job. Shawn is lucky he wasn't facing someone who didn't give a shit.
