When gyms were closed, I ended up doing weighted dips but I only had 25lbs in actual weight plates. I got a weighted vest for starters, I wore a backpack filled with hardcover textbooks and hung the weight plates on a belt. However, the master stroke was wrapping my neck with the cord of a surge protector/backup battery. It was a pure anaerobic exercise.
I discovered you long time ago when i Google DIY atlas stone i never made it but many times you give me a moral boost to get up and lift some weights, keep the good work a fun from Greece
I turned my garage GHD into a leg extension by tying bands around the bottom and sitting on the pad. Work well enough to not buy a massive machine for my garage
I've been hooked on your vids ever since I got out. Inspired me to scrape up a small home gym and just got my powerblocks today. Thanks for these vids man.
So I'm curious, Alan, since you have gotten down to 200lbs, can clean and jerk 315lbs, and can easily squat a couch for multiple reps, how has that translated for your vertical jump? Have you tested it? Do you care? Can you dunk a basketball on a 10 foot rim? After seeing the couch squat I'm guessing yes.
Never forget about good old concrete and buckets. When the prices of steel weights went astronomically high, I made my own 45s and 25s for about 30 bucks.
I call you "In Thrall" After "The curse of being in thrall" I find that word fascinating, probably because Ive never bothered to look it up. The only times I've heard it are in that song, and your last name. I should probably read more
Finding ways to do back extensions with a proper machine is an absolute pain. I've been doing them on the end of a bench with my feet hooked under the seat.
I do 45 degree back extensions using a half rack, barbell, broom stick and two barbell pads Also standing leg curl on a leg extension and seal rows using a bench and four box’s
this is like the most valuable of all training videos because it shows how to start. my only problem would be to store all the stuff due to being in an appartement
Awesome thanks! I commented on one of your videos week or so ago wanting some ideas for this exact thing trying to turn my training more towards the strongman side of things! 🤟🏾
