We havae gameshows that involve celebs eating Kangroo testies, naked box dating and watching other people watching TV. It shouldn't have been a suprise that us Brits are weird.
@@KarlaMB very true! Honestly the only reason they didn't show Naked Attraction is probably cause of the demonetisation 😂 I guess we're just used to it by now 🤷🏻♂️
You forgot about UK's 'Naked Attraction' where on person judges someone by their junk and 'Embarrassing Bodies'. It's only now I'm realising how weird the UK actually is...
The first show isn't called "Candy Not Candy," the video itself even says that it's Ultraman Dash. It's a show where they usually have people trying to do crazy stunts, but they also have segments like this. "Candy Not Candy" is a segment on the show. Same thing with "Slippery Stairs." That's not a separate show. It was a segment on a show called "Lincoln," hosted by a very famous comedy duo in Japan that features all comedians on the show. They do crazy shit all the time, including things like this. They also did one called "Pie or Kiss," where one of the hosts, the normally aggressive Hamada, was strapped to a self-contained chamber, and various comedians in the crowd of comedians were nominated to choose between hitting Hamada with a pie, or to kiss him passionately on the lips. (By the way, the two hosts of Lincoln are the two main comedians on another show called "Gaki no Tsukai ya Arahende," which features five people in total, and has been running for over 20 years. 90% of the "crazy Japanese game/reality show" videos you see online are either directly from Gaki no Tsukai, or are from other shows that the two main guys host (Lincoln, Gaki no Tsukai, Hey Hey Hey, and others that have come and gone over the years...Gaki no Tsukai is the main one, and they do multiple others). And these two shows are not "reality shows." They're comedy shows. Comedy variety shows are a pretty big thing in Japan. Even a small amount of basic research beyond barely glancing at Wikipedia should have made it obvious.
Yeah I have to agree with your comment, for the japenese shows they are more akin to being variety shows/ game shows which are better compared to be in the similar vein to American shows, ( classed the same as variety / games shows) like WIpeout, Family Feud etc. On the other hand reality shows, are as described where it is more of a long form show with a single concept, i.e the Bachlorette, Dating Naked, Kardashians and such and for Japan they have shows like these, like Roomamte, Terrance house etc. But I understand you were looking for wacky shows to react to, I just think it is better to label as reality and variety shows reactions.
Thank you for saying all this!! I agree 100%!! I love the duo Downtown-san!! I hate when people are just all "those crazy Japanese people and their weird game shows HAHA" 😒😒
Love Gaki No Tsukai for years especially their year end Batsu Game :D ,silent Library, Absolutely Tasty and Etc. BTW I found them from the wall of Boxes bit :D ..OMG The Team Challenges HAHAHAHAH
Does anybody remember hole in the wall? The one where they push people into water with a moving wall with a small hole they need to get through in order to survive?
None of those Japanese clips are actual television shows per se, they are just occasionally used segments of the shows. So don't go searching for season 1 of slippery stairs or candy no candy, you'll be disappointed because they don't exist. The slippery stairs segment is from a 2016 special, and the candy no candy segment is from Tetsuwan Dash, which has a lot of cool segments. If you like these crazy bits, also check out the show Itte Q from Japan. It's actually broadcast after Tetsuwan Dash.
Out of this entire video, the thing that cracked me up the most is when Brandon asked, "Is this laptop chocolate?" *slowly goes to bite laptop and gently bites it* "No."
What made me laugh is the tv show where they judge people on how they have sex. I just could not stop laughing at the part where they repeated that clip three times and after seeing their reactions I just 😂 😂 😂
The slippery stair game is from a segment on a japanese game competition. It's their annual thanksgiving show where they have celebs from different programs from the network to play quiz games, races, bizarre lubed up stair games, among other funny/odd competitions. It's one of many great annual traditions from japanese tv.
In the UK there's this show called Naked attraction. When one person judges number of people solely based on their appearances and private parts and eliminates until there is one left and they eventually go on a date
Japanense t.v. is amazing and so creative! Over hear in America I feel like nothing is original anymore... and when something original comes out everyone steals it. I'm not saying U.S. is the only country who does it but America definitely ain't as creative as Japan! They have love hotels people!!!
Oh jeez, you guys should have put down 'Space Cadets'. A UK reality show where they tricked several people into beliving they were astronauts and were doing a space mission. That..... was a thing....
Started laughing so much I had to pause the video when they showed Sex Box. I'm not from the UK, but I heard about that show a while ago and just the thought of the US reactions was enough to make me laugh. People think the British are so prim and proper, but their tv shows can beat the American ones in terms of raunch at all times. A great comparison: just look at the difference of tone in the UK vs the US episodes of Whose Line is it Anyway.
Please do adults react to the Uk's show called Naked attraction! It's hilarious, I've not seen any Americans react to it yet and I think it would be very entertaining to see their reactions to this dating show 😂 it's crazy.
@@celticbarry9877 it's such a mental programme but you can't help watch it, literally had a group chat going every week it was on...you can imagine the conversations we had lol
The prince harry one is just a rehashed version of "Joe Millionaire". Where they get generic suave looking dude that has a generic job pretending he is a millionaire and at the end they reveal who he really is to get the big reaction from the winner
Can't believe you did not include the French show "Intervilles" where two towns compete against each other in an arena, with people wearing ridiculous costumes and sometimes the challenges include being chased by little cows.
Fun fact about sleep deprivation... there's an "old wives' tale" that sleep is a zero sum game, that if you go without sleep for a certain amount of time, you need to sleep equal to the time you missed in order to get back to "normal". That's not at all how the body works. A variety of studies and experiments have been done, and it seems that an average of 14 hours of sleep is sufficient to "recharge", regardless of how long you've gone without sleep.
I can understand why there was a Japanese show on the list since their show's are really out there... And i watch these pretty often and i really enjoy them
Makes me wonder if they've seen "takeshis castle" " the crystal maze", " playing it straight", "total wipeout". I bet they've seen sasuke (ninja warrior) though.
They have it on danish tv as well, and they showed promos for it in the breaks of some CSGO tournament coverage, where they hadnt blacked out the naughty bits. That promo was on from around 11am to 7pm about once an hour Man I love living in a country where that can happend :)
You guys at FBE, first, have a safe NYE this Tuesday, secondly, you should have your own "IS THIS CHOCOLATE, IS IT NOT" challenge chalice(bring it back!). Only twist would be yours is blind folded.
A show in USA called “the chamber”. People are seated and strapped down to chair while turning upside down and are subjected to extremely hot or cold conditions while answering questions.
"Capture" should have been included! That was such a good show and a wonderful concept! Some others I would have included are "13: Fear is Real," "Splash," "101 Ways to Leave a Game Show" (which never reached 101 ways just so you know), and "I Survived a Zombie Apocalypse."
You guys are mistaken, the Japanese shows are actually variety shows and they bring famous ppl to "prank" chat and make a fool out of them. Most of them would fail on purpose to cause Chaos in the studio. My favorites are the one that are in the past involving Morning Musume. And anything with Matsumoto and Hamada is freaking awesome.
If you wanna delve into the weird world of British TV you should’ve shown NAKED ATTRACTION. It’s amazing, you won’t be disappointed if you search it up. That or Gogglebox. We watch people react to tele shows it’s basically react but on tele and with some really funny British “reactors” xD
If you watch enough Japanese variety shows, this will be a full episode which solely consists of Japanese shows, and, the slippery staiecase show is not weird enough to be selected.
True! Don't get the questions wrong if you make it to the bonus round, fail a memory test involving lily pads, or set off any alarm clocks in Alarm-A-Geddon then.
Holgie has been on the Swedish reality show "Allt för Sverige" (All for Sweden). The price is a family reunion of the family that was left behind when your ancestors moved to america.
do the reactors know about Naked and Afraid XL? if they think 7 days without sleep is torture... try 40 days in the african savanna or tropical jungle, stark naked(esp. barefeet), in small groups, and have to end with some kind of long trek to a "rescue point".
You should most definitely have the adults react to the British tv show Celebrity Juice, such an insane - and hilarious - show! I can't believe how much they get away with showing/doing/saying on that!
