HR is the one job, where if the entire department stops showing up, the work place (and the world) improves.

This ☝🏽 video should be shown during the hiring process and onboarding at ALL jobs.

Unfortunately, I’ve dealt with all of these. She told us but I’m here to assure you. Look for other employment! You can’t beat the department that will do the investigation if you open a case!

Thanks for your videos. I recently received retaliation after voicing my concerns to hr about cultural incompetence and discrimination. I will be pursuing my rights and will mention your channel to my attorney.

I've been there with #2 especially. My previous director would use HR and our supervisor to get his way when employees recognized issues within the department and voiced concerns. He talked to HR about writing up individuals and the HR manager (who was the only HR employee at the site and responsible for two plants) would do it without question. Even if you were a top performer for the company, she never questioned what would suddenly warrant them requiring disciplinary action. She was not an advocate nor mediator. People were basically on their own if they weren't a part of management. A coworker was experiencing issues with their manager and went to her for help. Instead of helping to solve the issue, she told the manager everything the employee said and the treatment got worse. When HR does not interact with employees outside of write-up, suspension, or termination meetings you know your time within a company is limited if you're the type of person with a moral or ethical code. The majority of this video sadly embodies a lot of issues within that company.

Thanks for sharing your experience. I agree, when HR is basically invisible but used for terminations and shady initiatives, it’s a bad sign. Hopefully one day, things will change. I think a lot of companies are trying to change the perception and reputation of HR.

The worst I can think of was a Human Resources supervisor who was not qualified for the job in any way, manner, shape or form. The supervisor had an administrator who covered for her, screaming racism anytime someone complained. The nonsense went on for ten years and only stopped when the administrator retired and the Human Resources Supervisor had to answer to a no-nonsense administrator who clamped down or her incompetence!!!😠😠😠

This video is very good and I'm glad to hear you supporting good practices. One thing that HR did not document at all and were my requests for Reasonable accommodations after having to take FMLA and and extended leave due to medical condition. It started August 2020 but the I spoke with the Para union rep and told her about my history on pnemonias and that I couldn't wear a face covering and they did admin transfer to work from home. fall 2021 they did not like me requesting work from home and ended up firing me. The good news is I have tons of emails and Drs recommendations etc. Taking time off without pay is not reasonable for ADA accommodations. EEOC process now.

After working 14 years for a company without a single incident the company hired a Micro manager who was a punk, I spoke up to this punk and all hell broke loose, got wrote up multiple times and H.R. disregarded my past perfect record and always sided with the punk. I brought a corporate investigation and corporate down played the corporate violations. I highly doubt our customers would appreciate their requirements and specs not being followed.

5:34 THEY CAN’T BE TRUSTED! They DO NOT WORK ON BEHALF OF THE EMPLOYEE SO IT’S ALMOST USELESS TO GO TO THEM FOR HELP OR TO REPORT ANYTHING! Ok so that was my personal experience at the job I was forced to resign from due to most of these ☝🏽 7:06 ABSOLUTELY!! 7:23 ABSOLUTELY!! Moral of the story: PLEASE don’t drown in a cesspool of a job. It’s not worth it.

This is currently happening to me I’m being performanced out when I have not done a thing. They will not provide feedback as to why they think I’m not doing well. I’ve asked for feedback or examples. They demoted me and no explanation

I have so many stories of HR professionals enaging in unethical behaving. Gossip, looking up other people's salary, or not keeping information confidential. Right now I'm dealing with #7 lack of information...it's so frustrating. 😡😡
@yonicamcdowell5990
@yonicamcdowell5990 3 года назад
Yes lack of information is frustrating. This is an opportunity to create and build your own resources so you will essentially become the reliable resource in the future. This will open up new opportunities for you within the organization or if you choose to leave, you can cite how you brought value to your previous employer.

#UnethicalExperience: I stopped by the #HRDepartment to ask for a copy of my resume. The #HRCoordinator went to my personnel file and pulled out a copy. I told her that this is not the current copy and I asked her to find where the current updated copy was. She looked puzzled. I asked her why the current copy of the resume is outside of my personnel file. She turned red. I stood there for 30 minutes until the Training Coordinator returned. Once the Training Coordinator returned, I was informed that the #HRCoordinator left my resume on top of the personnel filing cabinet. In order to protect my PII, the Training Coordinator and long-standing employee of the #HRDepartment placed the resume in her locked cabinet before she went to lunch. In the end, I was given the resume, the HR Coordinator was disciplined and an updated copy was given to the Training Coordinator who placed it in my personnel file. All this for a resume! Dang HR must do better. @MomoEduok

What answer would a candidate really receive if they asked an HR professional what the internal employee perception of their Dept. was?
@HRGirl411
@HRGirl411 3 года назад
I actually asked this question in an interview and they were honest about how they were working towards fixing that reputation. But once I began working for the company, I realized they weren't really working to fix the issue.
@audreywatson2103
@audreywatson2103 2 года назад
Great question 😊 I recommend you research the reviews on the company and not ask this question during the interview because you may not get a true answer....
