NOTE: Removable masking fluid is stinky, so you can’t tell if it’s gone bad by smelling it. I mark the date I buy mine with a sharpie. It does expire, so test it on a separate piece of paper first and never leave it on a piece of art more than 48 hours. Avoiding air and heat as much as possible will contribute to its longevity. Thank you for the information. I wish you had done a demonstration. That would have really taken advantage of the video format as opposed to reading about the mediums. Maybe in the future?😊

Probably not. I only buy art supplies I know I can get a ton of use out of. I'm currently doing a Low Buy Art supply after doing a year long No Buy Art Supply in 2022. Most of those mediums I would only try once and never use again. It would be a sad waste though it would make an awesome video. You're welcome and I hope you have a wonderful week!

Hi, thank you for this informative video. I have a question: Windsor and Newton used to have a watercolor medium simply called "Watercolor medium". I can't find it in any retail stores online, do you know if they've changed the name and it's now called something else? Thank you.

You're welcome. Excellent question. Do you remember what year Windsor and Newton had that product? I'm not familiar with that one, but I could ask around. Q. How is texture medium different from granulation medium? I understand the descriptions but they sound so similar.

Excellent question. Granulating medium adds a smooth molted, granulated effect to the wash while texture medium adds a texture that creates the impression of depth. So, both add a texture but, the granulating medium keeps the piece smooth while the texture medium can add a little volume and relief effect.
