Idea for a movie: Hundreds of years after a catastrophic event destroyed all music and had kept music from being made, only one album exists: Nostalgia Critics’ The Wall. A cult formed around this album and this has dictated the structure of the New Society. A group of rebels fight for the freedom to make new music, as stories of the ‘before time’ have managed to have been passed down through the generations. Things really take a turn once one of the rebels finds a vinyl copy of the original Pink Floyd record.

i saw ajr in concert and let me tell you- i was embarrassed. i took no photos, i took no videos, i tried to tell as little people as possible that i was going. my mom really loves them and she loves to go with shows w me so she bought the tickets. we had seen them maybe a year prior at a music festival and honestly it was a fun set! they brought a bit of energy to the stage when we had been getting a little bit bored at that point in the day and we were just waiting for the headliners. but, that was all i needed to hear from them. neotheater came out after the tickets were bought, i avoided listening to it. so come the 2019 concert, i’m hearing all these AWFUL songs for the first time live. and people go crazy for them!!! people love ajr!! we were in the balcony, which was filled with children and when you looked into the pit it was just a sea of *those* white boys. you could tell that these people thought it was really deep music and i left that show w my head down, hoping no one would see that i went.

the best part is, we have seen melon absolutely RIP half of these albums in half and im just as excited to see him do it again. woooooooo baby lets go

In many ways, the work of a critic is easy. We risk very little, yet enjoy a position over those who offer up their work and their selves to our judgment. We thrive on negative criticism, which is fun to write and to read. But the bitter truth we critics must face, is that in the grand scheme of things, the average piece of junk is probably more meaningful than our criticism designating it so. But there are times when a critic truly risks something, and that is in the discovery and defense of the *new*. The world is often unkind to new talent, new creations. The new needs friends. Last night, I experienced something new: an extraordinary song from a singularly unexpected source. To say that both the song and its maker have challenged my preconceptions about fine music is a gross understatement. They have rocked me to my core. In the past, I have made no secret of my disdain for Gusteau's famous motto, "Anyone can create." But I realize, only now do I truly understand what he meant. Not everyone can become a great artist; but a great artist *can* come from *anywhere*. It is difficult to imagine more humble origins than those of the genius now producing at Gusteau's, who is, in this critic's opinion, nothing less than the finest artist in France.
